Quote of the Day 1-22-10
Johnsen is an extremely radical nominee whose views are light years away from those of most Americans….
Her views on abortion are even more radical. Johnsen has been a strong advocate of the use of public funds to pay for abortions, something most Americans deplore. In Webster v. Reproductive Health Services, Johnsen fought a Missouri law prohibiting the use of public funds to “encourage or counsel” a woman to have an abortion. She argued:
Statutes that curtail [a woman’s] abortion choice are disturbingly suggestive of involuntary servitude, prohibited by the 13th Amendment, in that forced pregnancy requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest.
~ Mario Diaz, Policy Director for Legal Issues at Concerned Women for America, writing at Townhall.com about President Obama’s recent renomination of Dawn Johnsen to head the Office of Legal Counsel

“forced pregnancy
requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest.”

You could say the same about court ordered child support or parenthood.
No rational person would equate either of those with the practice of trafficking in human flesh and slavery.
Yet missy Johnson and the narcisist she works for are resolutely silent on the topic of
forced abortion
in the the workers paradise of China.
missy Johnson,
Please name one nation on the face of the earth that requires fertile females to become pregnant.
Preidents surround themselves with people who share their worldview. We should not be surprised that a babbling brook of folly like missy Johnson should be B.O.’s first choice for head of the Office of Legal Counsel.
