Yes, a color therapist. Miss Lopez “has gone all out to give the twins an amazing childhood,” a source told the United Kingdom’s Daily Mirror newspaper. “She hired a color therapist to paint the nursery a beautiful aquamarine and light blue – colors which are supposed to have intelligence-boosting properties.”…
In the old days, you had Dr. Spock and a harried phone call to your mother. These days, one can hire a name consultant. For about $500, an expert can test the phonetic qualities of your child’s name with the vision of a marketing and branding expert. There also are potty-training coaches and sleep-training coaches. You can hire someone to analyze and childproof the house, perfect junior’s fastball or teach him baby sign language….

Hey Jen R. What do you think of the fact that in the “New Stanek WND column, “Pro-lifers rip off ‘Horton’? So sue us” post, there was talk about how “we get our morals from the bible, otherwise where do they come from?” ? I was hoping maybe you might want to address that in that post, because I know you are coming to the pro-life movement from an atheist (??) background. Just thought you might like to know.

I think JLo simply amplifies what is out there in much of the culture – the aspiration to perfection (but not spiritual perfection!).
Perfect buff bodies, perfect boobs, perfect teeth (ever notice how every young person today has completely white straight teeth?)
Then there’s the perfect baby and if we don’t have that – well there’s abortion. Peter Singer bioethicist (I use the term loosely to describe this pathetic man) promotes the perfect baby with his idea that we give babies a “trial period” to see if they measure up before we grant them personhood. If not, they are destroyed.
And then those babies that do make it, well the perfect life, with the perfect room etc. etc. etc.
Except people aren’t perfect. We all have our rough edges which make us seem like toads to one person and diamonds to another…

As far as the baby masseuse and color therapist are concerned….GEEZ some people really will waste their money on ANYTHING!
It’s fun to go out and get the new stuff for the new arrival(s) in your life..and if you have the money to go all out..then go for it. It’s just gonna get sh*t and spit up on anyway! lol.
Seriously… does she know that “max and emme” are the names of the kids on “Dragon Tales”?

It seems to me that I, and just about every other mom I know, were a bit crazy when the baby arrived.
I thought I would have the perfect baby and though I really didn’t have any extra money, I spent on things that were unnecessary. (Yes the Beatrix Potter wallpaper was beautiful, but it didn’t make my kid perfect). Making a fuss and striving for the ‘perfect kid’ is really pretty normal. The only difference is that J-Lo has a lot more resources than me.
Then again, I wonder if my kid would be more perfect if I had one of those diaper wipe warmers that came out the year after she was born??? :)
I do envy those Egyptian cotton sheets….
LB, right on – it’s all relative, and there are people who would pity J Lo for being so “poor” compared to them.
And of course most people in the world won’t ever have 1/100th the wealth she does. Heck, she’d probably pity herself if she had to go back to the “real world.”

OK…so J Lo had twins and has a ton of money to burn.
Big deal.
All the material frills her kids get, won’t guarantee that they’re happy or make her a good mother. She’ll be a “has been” in five years (or less) anyway. The novelty of the babies will wear off soon enough and she’ll be back to being obsessed with herself…just like they all do.
Lots of ordinary people who have way less than she does, give birth to twins without all the excess crap and more than likely raise much better kids who can actually cope with REALITY and live in the real world.
I already feel sorry for these kids of hers.
Maybe I’m wrong…but I doubt it.
Mike, I agree with you there. At one time J Lo had an “entourage” of roughly 90 people. Good grief….
The thing is – she’s probably also going to pay someone else to raise them for her. She is paying someone to ‘choose’ the colors for her nursery but I seriously doubt if she is going to put her career on hold so she will be the one taking care of them while they grow up. I doubt if she will be the one who gets up in the middle of the night to feed them and change their diapers etc. She wont turn down a job because she needs to be with them, notice when they sit up alone, realize they have their first tooth, spoon cereal into their mouths while they spit it out faster than you can spoon it in …. Im sure she will love them but I seriously doubt she will really be a mother to them – not in the way most of the people posting here understand and use the term.

Couldn’t agree more TR. It’s going through all the hard stuff that makes seeing your kids succeed THAT much more worthwhile. Nothing can replace the memories and experiences parents and children go through together. I feel bad for her if she gives them to some nanny to raise cause she really is missing out.
