  • Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) calls out the World Health Organization for falsely associating high maternal mortality rates to legal restrictions on abortion:

… WHO states in its report that “treaty monitoring bodies have … linked elevated rates of maternal mortality to … restrictive abortion laws [and] unsafe or illegal abortion.” But WHO cites only old, and flawed, country reviews. The truth is that maternal mortality depends on the quality of maternal health care, not the legal status of abortion. Some countries prohibit abortion and have very low MMRs; others permit abortion and have very high MMRs. Legalizing abortion is demonstrably unnecessary to improve maternal health and save women’s lives.

  • Live Action News reports on a perfect example of twisted pro-abortion logic from The Abortion Resource Handbook, in which author K Kaufmann tells teens that keeping their pregnancy and abortion a secret is positive and shows signs of maturity. (That’s interesting – I always thought hiding things from people was more a sign of an immature person with an inability to deal with the consequences of one’s own actions):

If Planned Parenthood collapses, the abortion industry collapses, Part II

Defund Planned Parenthood abortion kingpin and its clinicsIs it really conceivable that Planned Parenthood could crash, bringing the entire abortion industry down with it? I answer that question today.

Backdrop: “If Planned Parenthood collapses, the abortion industry collapses, Part I.”

As powerful and wealthy as Planned Parenthood appears, its position is tenuous, upheld only by political friends and courts. In contraceptive terms, Planned Parenthood has no Plan B.

Abortions are expensive, so taxpayers should fund them

by Kelli Abortions are expensive. A first trimester abortion costs an average of $470. A second trimester abortion at 20 weeks costs an average of $1,500. So what do you do if you can’t afford an abortion and you definitely can’t afford a baby? If you happen to be one of the 12 million women […]

Planned Parenthood CEO uses Ferguson to push abortion

Heartbroken by the events unfolding in #Ferguson?. A parent’s right to raise their child in love and safety, and to dream that their child will have every opportunity in the world to grow into a fiercely independent adult is a fundamental issue of reproductive justice. As a feminist, as an organizer, and most of all […]

  • Saynsumthn’s Blog discusses Alliance Defending Freedom’s newest annual report to Congress “that identifies waste, abuse, and potential fraud by Planned Parenthood, state family planning programs, and other organizations”:

The report details the 44 known audits or other reviews of Planned Parenthood affiliates’ financial data and practices, as well as 51 known audits of state family planning programs and three known audits of family planning organizations that found overbilling. The audits for fiscal year 2013 found a total of more than $115 million in waste, abuse, and potential fraud in federal and state family planning funding programs, the lion’s share of which goes to Planned Parenthood. Approximately $14.4 billion of federal Medicaid expenditures were improper payments, according to government sources.

The report also identifies 10 types of waste, abuse, and potential fraud Planned Parenthood affiliates have been found to be committing or have been credibly accused of nationwide.

Planned Parenthood CEO’s husband also had a very bad day in court yesterday

Hobby Lobby Planned Parenthood SEIU abortion Most everyone knows by now the Supreme Court ruled in favor of religious freedom and against the Obama administration yesterday in its Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood decisions.

This was a stunning rebuke against not only President Obama but also pro-abortion HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, whose office wrote the rules attempting to force employers with religious convictions to pay for abortion-inducing drugs. The contraception mandate was never passed by Congress.

Swanky art auction held for fraudulent Planned Parenthood affiliate

“A fool and his money are soon parted” is a phrase that came to mind when reading the May 26 Houston CultureMap story, “Auction party: The stakes are raised for Planned Parenthood at this artful River Oaks bash,” about a “Fine Art Auction benefitting Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.”

Houston’s pro-abortion elite are either unaware or pretending not to notice that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is up to its ears in legal trouble.
