Pro-life vid of the day: One word – “Abortion”

Abortion-1by Kelli

A parting note from Kelli:

Fifteen years ago, I heard Jill Stanek, who was still relatively unknown at the time, tell her story about her experiences at Christ Hospital. At the time, I was operating a pregnancy resource center. I never imagined that one day, years later, I’d stumble upon her blog, become a regular reader and commenter, and then one day become the administrative assistant and editor of her blog.

It’s been a privilege and an honor to work here for six years, getting to know so many dedicated readers and volunteers who give of themselves to help advance the pro-life message. This blog wouldn’t be what it was and is without ALL of you, so thank you! And thank you most of all to Jill for giving me this opportunity and for believing that I could learn what I needed to know to do my job effectively, even when I didn’t believe it myself. :)

Love to all of you.

Pro-life blog buzz 3-10-15

  • Wesley J. Smith has been writing about the animal rights movement – which sets itself up as anti-human – for quite some time. Now, he says, the UK Green Party “has joined the war on humans”:

The Party’s election platform calls for expanding the UN’s Declaration on Human Rights to all sentient life forms. From the Telegraph story: Article Five of the UN Declaration on Human Rights, banning “inhuman” treatment, is extended to all sentient life forms.

The same prison sentences for the murder and kidnap of humans will apply to crimes involving elephants, monkeys and whales.

Father Pavone begins fourth month in exile

Yesterday I checked in with Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life on the occasion of an auspicious anniversary. It was three months ago that Father Pavone’s bishop, Patrick Zurek, abruptly ordered him to halt his pro-life work and report back to the Diocese of Amarillo for an unspecified length of time. Since September 13 […]

Bishop Zurek misleads?

Read backstory here. This fiasco left off with Bishop Patrick Zurek (pictured right) publicly announcing on October 6 a private meeting he had invited Father Frank Pavone to attend on October 13. When that meeting did not happen, Bishop Zurek appears to have misrepresented why it did not happen, quoting Amarillo Globe-News on October 14… […]

Fr. Frank Pavone in exile

It was four weeks ago today that someone with malicious intent leaked a scathing letter to the press written by Amarillo Bishop Patrick Zurek to all U.S. bishops announcing he had “decided to suspend” Priests for Life’s Fr. Frank Pavone “from public ministry outside of the Diocese.”

Jivin J’s Life Links 5-3-11

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat At the New York Daily News, Kassi Underwood (pictured below left) writes about her post-abortion experience: At first, I sought refuge in the pro-choice movement. In finding a community, I was coping. Our communication, however, sounded a little more like war rhetoric than sharing in a common bond. […]
