Chambliss wins
Here’s a bit of good news. Republican Senate incumbent Saxby Chambliss beat Democrat challenger Jim Martin yesterday 57.5% to 42.5% in GA’s run-off election. This dashed all hopes of Democrats garnering a 60-seat, filibuster-proof Senate majority, even if MN’s Al Franken out-recounts incumbent Norm Coleman. [Photo credit: Reuters]
