And you thought Imus was racist
It appears the battle to protect black children in Portland, Oregon, has been lost.
LifeNews.com is reporting the Portland Development Commission gave final approval last night for “Planned Parenthood to move its regional headquarters and abortion facility to a city-owned lot in the heart of the African American community,” despite opposition from black pastors and pro-lifers.
STOPP reported today, “PP’s previous location had an African-American population of less than 2 percent but the new site is in a community that is 42 percent African-American.”
The Guttmacher Institute, PP’s research arm, confirms the black population disproportionately aborts and that abortion mills are disproportionately located in urban areas: Although African Americans comprise only 12.3% of the population:
Most abortion providers (95%) are also located in metropolitan areas, increasing access to abortion there….
No racial or ethnic group makes up a majority of women having abortions: 41% are white, 32% are black and 20% are Hispanic….
Black and Hispanic women have higher abortion rates than non-Hispanic white women do. (The rates are 49 per 1,000 and 33 per 1,000 among black and Hispanic women, respectively, vs. 13 per 1,000 among non-Hispanic white women.)
Since 1973 it is estimated 13 million black babies have been killed by abortion.
Blacks are committing genocide against themselves via abortion. Here is a compelling graph by the US Census Bureau (p. 3):

It shows that exactly 34 years ago, the year abortion was legalized in the US, the black population stopped tiering out. It stopped growing. It flattened. Were it not for black immigrants, the population would have declined.
The US Census showed that in 1990 blacks ranked as the largest minority in the US:
African Americans: 12.1% (29,986,060)
Hispanics: 9% (22,354,059)
The US Census showed that in 2000 blacks ranked #2:
Hispanics 12.5% (35,305,818)
African Americans: 12.3% (34,658,190)
Abortion made the difference.
To repeat: While blacks comprise only 12.3% of the population, they have 32% of the abortions.
And you thought Don Imus was racist. But he only talked racist. Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton when it comes to Planned Parenthood actually targeting blacks to kill them?

“Poverty rates for blacks and Hispanics greatly exceed the national average. In 2004, 24.7 percent of blacks and 21.9 percent of Hispanics were poor, compared to 8.6 percent of non-Hispanic whites and 9.8 percent of Asians.
Poverty rates are highest for families headed by single women, particularly if they are black or Hispanic. In 2004, 28.4 percent of households headed by single women were poor, while 13.5 percent of households headed by single men and 5.5 percent of married-couple households lived in poverty. In 2004, both black and Hispanic female-headed households had poverty rates just under 40 percent.”

the fact that black are more likely to obtain abortions is primarily due to poverty and lack of affordable health care. to accuse planned parenthood of being racist is absurd. so what if they locate in urban areas? they are also more schools, hospitals and shopping malls in urban areas. are they targeting blacks too?
PIP, let’s analyze what you wrote. Is abortion your solution for poverty?
Jill Planned parenthood is not racist. They are simply providing healthcare for those who cannot afford it. dont forget pp also gives free mammograms, free annual exams, free birth control, free pregnancy tests and free STI tests. if they don’t give it free they give it cheap. Low poverty areas need those services. It isn’t racist, its humane.
No. But I’m offering an explanation as to why there are a disproportionate number of blacks seeking abortions. There are a disproportionate number of blacks below the poverty line. The racism goes much much deeper than just clinics, Jill.
might i also add that to get an abortion, one must GO TO planned parenthood. not the other way around. PP doesnt hunt down pregnant blacks to steal their babies as you are suggesting.
Chillzzz, let’s analyze what you wrote. Are you saying that despite welfare, CHiPs, and Title X, poor blacks do not have enough access to health care?
And despite the fact contraception can be obtained free through a government program and abortion cannnot, somehow blacks can afford abortion and not contraception?
To be honest this post is sort of ridiculous. You’ve had some very convincing ones but this is definately not one of them. Considering all of the resources PP provides (as mars has already said) and the state of the black community today the reason why black people generally have more abortions is not hard to conjecture. I did it in 3 minutes. The problem here is not the abortion clinics, it is the state of American poverty.
I find it hard to believe that PP is targeting black people. Their facilities are located in poor, urban areas b/c that’s where the greatest need is for their services. Black people are overrepresented amongst the nation’s poor, and poor people don’t have nearly the same access to preventative care.
Privileged wealthier women with health insurance and stable jobs don’t need to go to Planned Parenthood nearly as often. I doubt many people in their BMWs stop off at the PP after shopping at Whole Foods, ya know? They have their own dr. who prescribes them contraception and for which they have no trouble paying for.
Fine Jill, start a Crisis Pregnancy center across the street.
Which is it, Mars and PiP? They can’t walk to get contraception but they can walk to get abortions?
To someone considering abortion the one time fee of 3-400 bucks is much less than the amount of money it would take to raise a child.
It’s easy to see how someone living in poverty would be tempted to consider that an option.
Ashlee, nor do wealthy, BMW neighborhoods welcome Planned Parenthood abortion mills. They’re seedy.
PIP, exactly what is ridiculous. Pick a stat. Pick a summation.
Cute babies aren’t as cute when they are hungry and crying all day long.
It’s ridiculous to assume that PP is racist. The entire though is ridiculous when you consider everything else.
No I am saying that now they can get free or cheap health care and contraception. if they can get contraception for free from a place that is close to home (planned parenthood) then they might not ever need an abortion.
Planned parenthood moved closer to them to provide medical services. Hopefully that will cut down on their need for abortions
*thought
PIP, 7:40p, said: “Cute babies aren’t as cute when they are hungry and crying all day long.”
You know, PIP, your solution to everything seems to be: kill the baby.
Poor? Kill the baby.
Your baby could someday cry? Don’t rock her, kill her.
Your baby could someday be hungry? Don’t go to any of the zillion government agencies or church pantries and get food. Kill her.
Cute babies aren’t as cute when they are hungry and crying all day long.
Jill, isn’t it funny how it always comes to this kind of comment from pro-‘choice’rs?
Like the fact that babies cry and aren’t always cute and cuddly ….this somehow makes them deserve to die? How do people come up with this kind of logic?
this is a piss poor come back to me calling you a racist bigot…
Mars, you get abortions and contraception at the same place, which is very convenient. Contraception fail? Yeah! Go to the next room and abort.
PIP, your favorite word for me is ridiculous. Yet you’re not ridiculous for advocating killing babies to stop poverty.
I’m not condoning it at all!! If you even listened to what I am saying…
I’m giving a potential explanation for the figures in your post. I cannot even imagine how someone living below the poverty line thinks when they find out they are pregnant. I’m not below the poverty line, and I am going to go on a limb and say that you aren’t either, Jill. But watching news segments about single mothers shaking their babies to death and the increasing poverty and violence rate in Saint Louis gives me a good idea about how frusterating it must be.
I’m just answering your questions. When have I ever said abortion was the solution?
Jill you dont even have an argument for why this is racist…why even post this?
“PIP, your favorite word for me is ridiculous. Yet you’re not ridiculous for advocating killing babies to stop poverty.”
You are putting words in my mouth, Jill.
When I am giving out free food at SLU’s free law counseling center or cooking meals for people who are hungry, the poverty level and subsequent hunger problem is very real and frightening.
You are calling PP racist and you don’t even realize what the real problem is. I’m telling you the reason why people seek abortions–they can’t handle being a single mother. If you’ve read any of my posts in the past I want to develop programs to eliminate this fear. Speaking the truth is not condoning it, Jill. You are so focused on PP you don’t want to realize what the true problem is!
I’m going to Amnesty meeting now, I”ll be back in an hour.
PIP. I agree. While I am pro CHOICE, I think abortion should be a last option, saved for health reasons and in the case of incest and rape. I think we need better support for single mothers of all Socioeconomic statuses, better healthcare for those at the poverty line, or even those above it. I think we needed better sex education in schools.
PIP, 7:50p, said: “But watching news segments about single mothers shaking their babies to death and the increasing poverty and violence rate in Saint Louis…”
Speaking of…. Google “increase child abuse.” It only goes up up up. Now why is that, PIP?
I’ll answer myself. Child abuse has skyrocketed since abortion was legalized. And why not? Desensitive women to kill their preborns, there’s not such a line to cross to abuse their postborns.
Mars/Ashley/ashm, 7:57p, said: “While I am pro CHOICE, I think abortion should be a last option, saved for health reasons and in the case of incest and rape.”
Now that is something I’ll never get Mars/Ashley/ashm. If you’re pro-choice, why want to hold back and such a glorious right? Why do you insist on being called pro CHOICE, not pro-ABORTION? Are you ashamed? Embarrassed?
Let’s analyze Jill’s asinine conclusion…
“…when it comes to Planned Parenthood actually targeting blacks to kill them.”
Do people abort their babies because there is a clinic near by??? Is it only white people working in the clinic??
Again, Jill’s gone off the deep end and apparently thinks Taco Bell and Burger King are also out to KILLLLL are fine black folk. Perhaps the Babtists are our to indoctrinate them all too.
It’s called demand Jill. And no amount of banning will stop it, only make it illegal.
mkay so you look incredibly stupid calling me mars ashley ashm…what kind of power trip are you on?
BUT
I am not pro abortion. That insinuates that I think everyone should get an abortion…our species would die out…
I am pro choice meaning I think women should have the choice to do what they want…
“Child abuse has skyrocketed since abortion was legalized.”
Alternatively, according to Jill, beating your wife should reduce abortion.
I’ll answer myself. Child abuse has skyrocketed since abortion was legalized. And why not? Desensitive women to kill their preborns, there’s not such a line to cross to abuse their postborns.
Posted by: Jill Stanek at April 12, 2007 07:58 PM
jill perhaps you should look up the history of child abuse laws. like for how long they have been a required to report, and compare that date to roe v wade. mmmmkay???
Cameron, 8:05p, said: “Do people abort their babies because there is a clinic near by???”
Well, duh.
If there were only one abortion clinic in the US, do you think abortion rates would stay the same?
“PIP, your favorite word for me is ridiculous. Yet you’re not ridiculous for advocating killing babies to stop poverty.”
Not half as ridiculous as forcing women to bear babies, into proverty, that they don’t want. We see how much you really care Jill!
“If there were only one abortion clinic in the US, do you think abortion rates would stay the same?”
Yes.
I dare you to look into the number of illegal abortions performed prior to Roe v wade.
Perhaps some of you weren’t here when we took on the racist issue a few weeks back, but the bottom line is that planned parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger who started the Negro Project, a program designed to eliminate the black population.
She was also buddies with Adolph Hitler and was a member of Eugenics movement.
Planned Parenthood is based on racism.
In her own words.
Need to see them? Cuz I’ll dig them all up.
Again.
mk
“I dare you to look into the number of illegal abortions performed prior to Roe v wade.”
gotta remember that not all places banned abortion before Roe V wade though, 3 years before roe vs wade for every 2 aborted one was born, or vice versa. Dont exactly remember and i dont feel like flipping through my history text again, seeing as how im tired and very lazy at the mo’
“She was also buddies with Adolph Hitler and was a member of Eugenics movement.”
Along with most of America before the war, a lot of the country thought he had the right idea.
some think he still did.
Scary eh?
How about infanticide? Why is that on the rise?Abortion sends the message that discarding a human being is okay.Ah,let’s just take it one step further. Hey, allow the abortionist to throw it in the trash, or do it yourself. What’s the diff.?? SAD! Oh,speaking of racism, send Al Sharpton to Dr.Edward Allred’s abortion clinic.Aborting black children is his mission in life.
Please Dan,don’t get on that illegal abortion BS.AND PLEASE don’t post that old pic.of Gerry Twerdy again.Bernard Nathanson already exposed that lie!!
“Please Dan,don’t get on that illegal abortion BS.”
as I said, it wasnt illegal everywhere. Learn history, it helps ;) lol
“AND PLEASE don’t post that old pic.of Gerry Twerdy again.Bernard Nathanson already exposed that lie!!”
I never posted a picture if that was directed at me.
AND WHY are women aborting at the rate of 4000 abortions a day? Can someone please explain this?
Cameron, 8:12p, said: “I dare you to look into the number of illegal abortions performed prior to Roe v wade.”
You dare me? How weird. Find the number yourself. You’ll be surprised. The guy who came up with the original #, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, formerly the head of NARAL, is now pro-life and said it was all a lie. They made the #s up.
mom, for various reasons that for some odd reason you pro lifers dont accept, so its futile to explain it over and over again when essentially you repeat the words adoption and its murder, etc.
Oh thank God cuz nobody wants to see it again.Anyway, how many illegal abortions were there prior to Roe vs. Wade Dan? Let me see some proof.
Mom,
I think Dan is one of us…
Don’t know if you caught that.
MK
Dan,
what part of Chicago?
mk
“The guy who came up with the original #, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, formerly the head of NARAL, is now pro-life and said it was all a lie. They made the #s up.”
People will do anything to be accepted if they change sides, including lying about lying. Now it just brings everyones credibility into question.
Look at Mitt Romney (guh I hate him >
Dan
What part of “illegal” can’t you read?
Cameron, I saw illegal, I just wanted to point out they werent all illegal.
and MK, Im certainly not one of you if Im the Dan you’re referring to, and live nowhere near chicago, lol
Dan is one of us…you know…since I am Mars from outer space and all, that might mean he is an alien…
XD
Yes, I come from Mars as well,
well, a place as good as Mars to most of you.
I come from a place called Massachusetts, perhaps youve heard of it.
While the article exposes the awful realities of abortion to the bright light of public attention, the comments above speak even greater volumes about the vile and pernicious death culture… in their own words.
One day, we will all face His justice.
Posted by: donchicago48 at April 12, 2007 04:28 PM
Sorry mom,
Sorry Dan,
I thought this was the from the same guy.
One’s a Don. One’s a Dan.
Don is from Chicago. Dan is not.
Dan, there’s still time to change your mind…move to Chicago and become pro-life. You get a free bumper sticker !
mk
MK, Dan USED to be one of us before he went to the dark side, which makes his 8:27p comment all the more interesting: “People will do anything to be accepted if they change sides, including lying about lying.”
Dan,
I come from a place called Massachusetts, perhaps youve heard of it.
No I haven’t, but us pro-lifers only get let out on weekends.
Tell me something.
Do they have lemmings in Massachusetts?
mk
Been there, done taht, minus the whole chicago piece. Was pro life, now am pro-choice. Ta dah!
lol
Meh, Ill stay up here in the Northeast, then I know Ill always have liberals like me around ;)
least most of the time
How weird. Find the number yourself. You’ll be surprised. The guy who came up with the original #, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, formerly the head of NARAL, is now pro-life and said it was all a lie. They made the #s up.
Jill,
No problem. Pick one.

=all&hl=en&lr=
Please note, Nathanson does not appear among the peer reviewed estimates.
The rate is about the same. Adjusted per capita, and according to the CDC… abortion rates have gone down since it was legalized. Alas… you don?t really care about saving pre-babies do you??
oh great, their biggest draw is that you get a bumper sticker.
wow…just…wow
“If you are pro choice you support a woman’s right to choose for herself, but if you change to pro life…get a bumper sticker”
well that makes MY mind up…
Okay, who stretched out the site??????
lol MK
and id assume not.
“MK, Dan USED to be one of us before he went to the dark side, which makes his 8:27p comment all the more interesting: “People will do anything to be accepted if they change sides, including lying about lying.”
and I must admit I saw this coming, had to with the comment I made and knowing I had told of my previous stance on abortion.
though perhaps it would help to say I switched sides before I hit high school?
eh, thought not.
I have no reason to be accepted. To be honest I dont give a [explicit] what anyone else thinks of me. I’m sarcastic and tend to be fairly blunt. I have plenty opf people who strongly dislike me because of that, and others that love me for it, so it works out *shrugs*
Mars,
oh great, their biggest draw is that you get a bumper sticker.
wow…just…wow
“If you are pro choice you support a woman’s right to choose for herself, but if you change to pro life…get a bumper sticker”
well that makes MY mind up.
Just for that, you don’t get a bumper sticker.
We on the pro-life side only want people with a sense of humor.
But can I interest you in a magnet?
and as an add on to my last comment, I do have a good amount of friends who are pro life, so it would benefit me to lie and tell them Im still pro life, but Im not, plain and simple. We just steer clear of political discussions.
I had been taught to be pro life all through elementary school simply because I went to a catholic school, so it really makes could have ended up hurting me far more than it helped me to switched sides.
Dan,study up on Bernard Nathanson. He’s not blowing smoke to be popular. He very well could have stayed in the abortion industry and remained very popular with people like you. MK-No prob.Dan doesn’t give a very convincing ‘Choice’ argument yet,so it’s not always easy to see which side he’s on.Which side are you on Dan?
well now you are talking…I mean, bumper stickers are a pain, you put them on your car, then you want to sell it and you have to peel it off and clean the gunk they leave behind…but a magnet….well…those are much better…
so it really makes could have ended up hurting me far more than it helped me to switched sides.
huh?
so it really makes could have ended up hurting me far more than it helped me to switched sides
Jill said ONLY English on this site.
Is that some funny kind a Massachusetts talk?
Dan,that’s just stupid!
MK, what I meant was I could have become an outcast and lost just about all of my then friends, but luckily I didnt. Essentially, I could have lost everything I had at that point in time.
Mars,
As my mother would say: “You’re back in the will”
Can’t debate if ya can’t laugh…
One magnet comin’ up…
I think I’m going to start a section of most outlandish quotes. Here are the first two nominees, both by Cameron/HisBlood/Chucky.
“If there were only one abortion clinic in the US, do you think abortion rates would stay the same?” Yes.
and
“Abortion rates have gone down since it was legalized.”
No MK, what you’re thinking of as funny massachusetts talk would be the world renouned used of the word “wicked”, the mystery of the disappearing “r”s ;)
MK…I can’t believe you missed the sarcasm in my first post I mean I was DRIPPING with it…oh wait…its the internet…oh yeah…
MK, what I meant was I could have become an outcast and lost just about all of my then friends, but luckily I didnt. Essentially, I could have lost everything I had at that point in time.
Well then, why didcha say so?
Okay, you’ve had your fun. Proved your a big man. You can take the heat, stick to your guns and all that.
Come on back to the sunnyside of the street now.
Mmmmmmmmmm….maaaaaaaagnnnneeeettttsss…
Nah, I like it hear on the pro choice side. Im already living in a state of dirty liberals that will be the first to be destroyed for anything should the God described in the Bible decide He wants to come down and smite us all. After all, we ARE the only state with legal gay marriage, and we just absolutely cant stand anything that isnt liberal, of course that is unless you’re in a private school, but most switch over fairly quickly ;)
MK…I can’t believe you missed the sarcasm in my first post I mean I was DRIPPING with it…oh wait…its the internet…oh yeah…
I knew I felt something dripping…thought it was venom.
Glad to know it was sarcasm.
Whew!
I know, why don’t they blogs with pictures like on phones?
Did you ever see the movie “Mother”?
Remember the phone scene? Hilarious!
mk
Mars, shh, that part isnt on the blog yet I think, still in the works ;)
i live in a state of (and these are the words of my daddy) “bleeding heart liberals and tree hugging granola heads”
Gotta love that guy…
and seattle. Gotta love seattle
Oh Dan,
I’m sorry to hear that. You know John Mcdonnell is always talking about zinc. Bet if we put some in the water we could clear that bad case of liberalism right up…
and get you a magnet to boot!
mk
You sure there’s no lemmings in Mass?
ha ha ha ooops i feel like i spilled a secret of the state…does that make me a traitor…oh goodness…or as i think MK says or maybe mom says it (and I love it when you say it, i crack up) PHOOEY
Mars[that screen name] Now that’s a really stupid one! One for the pro-lifers!!
Jill,
While Cameron does say the darndest things, I hesitate to give him any award at all. He’d take it wrong and go braggin to all his friends.
Oh, sorry, he probably doesn’t have any.
But still, an award? Isn’t that like supposed to be a good thing?
Could we make it a statue of a lemming?
Please, oh pretty please?
mk
No idea about the lemmings, never really something I thought of… XD
eh, I get enough zinc.
Though its interesting to have a very conservative dad, grandparents, and aunt, dunno bout my uncle.
But my mom’s an independent who tends to lean toward the liberal side, so Ive got someone I can talk politics with most of the time
Now,
what in the heck is this post about anyway?
Oh yeah, Racism.
Planned Parenthood is racist.
Margaret Sanger is racist.
Margaret Sanger is a Eugenist.
Margaret Sanger got awards.
Phooey…
mk
Mom, not sure what you mean by that? are you saying that choosing Mars as a screen name is stupid?
Lemming, hm.
Or sheep. Have you heard sheep will continue to jump over an obstacle even after it’s removed?
Mars,
Please tell me they have lemmings in seattle!
mk
Well, we know there’s at least one.
Dan you never got back to me on those millions of illegal abortions.I need proof. Can you pull yourself away from butt kissing the other pro-choicers on the blog? Just for a minute?
MK: Sorry but i dont think so…no sheep either..sad day i suppose
Mom: cat got your tongue…why do you think it is stupid that Mars is my SN?
Mars,it makes me think of an alien or a candy bar. Can’t help it.
Jill, we were having a decent debate and then you go and call me a lemming. seriously whats with the 1st grade name calling from you tonight?
Mom… lol… and don’t fall for Mars/Ashley/ashm’s taunts. After you do she’ll tell you Mars is her last name.
“Dan you never got back to me on those millions of illegal abortions.”
I never said anything about ILlegal abortions, I breifly mentioned legal ones. Cameron posted a link to various numbers, but it stretched the page so it got deleted. Just do google scholar and type in something like estimated illegal abortions performed or something and im sure youll get some
“Can you pull yourself away from butt kissing the other pro-choicers on the blog? Just for a minute?”
can you go one post without insulting someone? for a minute?
Mom: try going through elementary school with mars as your last name…luckily in about 4th grade kids figured out it was pretty stupid to make fun of my last name
Laughing hysterically,Jill that was funny! Mars bar don’t dish it out if you can’t take it!!
and Jill, thats because it IS her last name
I had a dog once that wouldn’t go past the gate…even tho the fence wasn’t up yet…
But no, I still vote lemmings.
What other stupid things has he said?
Maybe we should call Donald Trump and get a reality TV show.
Speaking of reality TV shows, my son Danny is going to be in something for MTV. Something about the parents don’t like the guy the daughter is dating so they pull a guy off the street and get him to date her instead. Danny is the guy they pulled off the street. Considering he’s all but homeless out in California, that might not be such a bad deal. He says he’s learning how to live without “needing” anything. I said “When you do that for God, they call you a monk. When you do it for yourself, they call you a bum.” not to mention stupid. “Get a haircut” I tell him “get a job, I tell him”…maybe I should be telling him to move to Massachusetts.
mk
And there it is Jill!!
Dan, I KNOW.
wow again with the 1st grade name calling. Now from TWO adults…
and it is my last name.
but nice try jill
hes gunna be on parental control?
LMFAO hes gunna be sworn at and all kinds of crap. That should be funny, let me know when its going to air and ill watch MTV for the first time in a LONG time
Mars,
My maiden name was Rice.
Sorry, no pity from this quarter…
mk
I’m getting a little lost here, but I didn’t think Mars/Ashley/ashm was our candidate for lemming. I thought it was Cameron/HisBlood/Chucky. I don’t know with all these chicken aliases they’re using.
Since it’s black mother’s getting the abortions doesn’t that mean that they’re the ones who are racist, not PP?
“Speaking of reality TV shows, my son Danny is going to be in something for MTV. Something about the parents don’t like the guy the daughter is dating so they pull a guy off the street and get him to date her instead. Danny is the guy they pulled off the street.”
I *HATE* that TV show. It makes me sick. These people(I think it’s mostly girls) get set up with someone else and go on a date right in front of their significant other. It’s ridiculous and I don’t see why any child would do it (besides the fact that they think being on tv will make them famous). Yes, lets go on national television and make out with a stranger in front of strangers, our parents, and our boyfriend. Blah.
MK: I dont really want any pity…its a cool last name. at least it isnt something like smith or jones…boring. I have a friend whose last name is Toles…guys always ask if they can touch her cookies.
guys can be so vile
hes gunna be on parental control?
LMFAO hes gunna be sworn at and all kinds of crap. That should be funny, let me know when its going to air and ill watch MTV for the first time in a LONG time
I don’t know when it’s going to be on. Like I said, he’s a bum. He’s go no phone. I get things through the grapevine…but sometimes he e-mails me.
I didn’t even know the name of the show was Parental Control until you told me.
When is that on? He probably won’t tell me til it’s over…keep any eye out will, ya? then you can let me know.
mk
Mine was Pill. At least that’s the name my mother gave me.
Wow, the “adults” are being real mature tonight aren’t they.
Es tut mir leid, Mars. They aren’t very mature around here.
“I’ll answer myself. Child abuse has skyrocketed since abortion was legalized. And why not? Desensitive women to kill their preborns, there’s not such a line to cross to abuse their postborns.”
Child abuse is prevelant in the US. Comparing the US with other countries, death rates to child abuse is similar in the U.S. and Mexico, with the rest of the countries lagging behind.
But another funny thing is that abortion is legal in many other countries as well, including Greece, Italy, Norway, etc. that are on the bottom of the trend.
Correlation does not equal causation. In this post in particular, you are overlooking the real problem here.
MK, i dont watch MTV unless I have a reason to, its not music anymore, so I watch fuse when i feel like music vids.
but yes, thats the name of the show, and its horrible, really bad, often embarassing and lame, and seems fairly scripted.
Jill: I am confused, why do i have chicken aliases? I post using my last name…and everyone here knows my first name thanks to you…so pretty sure its no big deal…
EVERYONE: My name is Ashley Marrs…cool, now where are the chicken aliases at?
by the way, I love that bum…he may be a loooooser, but he’s my loser.
Actually, he just graduated from college (like Tommy Boy he went for 8 years and is NOT a doctor) and he wants to do social work.
He’s pretty cute too. But sorry girls, he’s pro-life all the way…don’t know about the abstinence thing…
Has a wicked sense of humor, too.
for a bum.
mk
“often embarassing and lame, and seems fairly scripted.”
Yeah, and the people are HORRIBLE actors. Have you ever seen Date My Mom, or whatever it’s called. Guys date the girl’s mom to find out what the girl is like. Such corny scripted lines!
I only watch MTV for American Next Top Model marathons (when I actually get to watch tv), or is it VH1? I don’t even know. lol
MK,Please E-mail me and let me know.I had to laugh and let off some steam-AAAAAhhh that felt good.MK,when you get a minute go back to the Tiller video and see how I responded to SOMG,right after you.Still LOL.
EWWW on date my mom, the mom wore a thong bikini and told the guy to smack her butt.
I almost threw up
American next top model is vh1. My sis used to be obsessed with those marathons and I was forced to watch them on the one tv we had available in the house >.
Adolph Hitler was a Eugenicist.
Adolph Hitler was a friend of Margaret Sanger.
Margaret Sanger was a Eugenicist and a racist.
Margaret Sanger founded planned parenthood.
Planned Parenthood kills babies.
Oh yeah, and gives out free contraception.
Planned Parenthood
hood just opened yet another clinic in a black neighborhood.
Planned Parenthood is baaaaaaaaddddd…
No like.
Like lemmings.
But only on Tuesdays.
Never like Planned Parenthood.
They don’t have nice magnets.

Mars,
I used to get picked on for my last name a lot. It’s Burning by the way. In elementary school people would always be like, “Danielle’s Burning! Someone get a hose.” :(
But I love my last name now. One of my newly acquired nicknames is Fire. ^_^ Too bad I can’t hyphen it if me and the boyfriend end up getting married. Batt-Burning, either sounds sadistic or funny depending on what bat you picture. lol
Mk: I decifer 3rd grade writing every day and it still isn’t as convoluted as that statement…clarify please
yeah i am torn. when my bf and i get married i want to take his name, i am pretty traditional. but I
I think that the pro-lifers got together to do some pot or something tonight… My goodness…
Correlation does not equal causation. In this post in particular, you are overlooking the real problem here.
I think the real problem here is that nobody did their homework…so they’re all goofin’ off.
Okay, everybody, open up to page 247 in your textbooks…
lem
…. Like I said…
hmmm it didnt post my whole post…

(lifeguard)
Danielle, it honestly wouldnt surprise me right now XD
Mk: I decifer 3rd grade writing every day and it still isn’t as convoluted as that statement…clarify please
Good heavens woman,
I’ve been babbling like a fool for hours now.
You’ve just noticed I’m not making any sense!
Which statement?
mk
We’re just high on LIFE, Danielle, high on LIFE.
“We’re just high on LIFE, Danielle, high on LIFE.”
Yup, that’s what they all say, right before the cops bust ’em for possession.
Ashley/Mars/ashm is a LIFEguard?
Danielle made a funny! Danielle made a funny!
One thing you young cads can tell me. What’s with the teh? and words like kitteh? and puppeh?
Gotta go read to the kiddies…
try to come back…

mk
Yeah, it’s that non-English thing rearin’ it’s ugly head again…
mk
Glad I’m not swimming tonight. She’s pro-choice correct? She might choose to let me drown.*Still laughing! Please note,I am joking!
I understand Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger once addressed the women’s auxillary of the Ku Klux Klan. How nice the ladies could take a day off from terrorizing black citizens and burning crosses to attend. Certainly Ms. Sanger could not have been blissfully ignorant of the Klan or what it respresented.
Please refer to the websites

“Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood and Racism…
What is the matter with you people?”
You are calling ME a sheep?!
What is the matter with you?! The entire country is festering with racism at its very core. A disproportionate number of minorities are poor. Politicians oppose a system that will help alleviate this by helping minorities gain access to our colleges and get a higher education and perhaps a better paying job. Don’t you realize?! It doesn’t even freaking matter how PP started or who started it. What matters is that these people are getting abortions because they are poor, scared, and don’t know what else to do. Instead of actually trying to help them out and use this knowledge for the betterment of society you are going to scream at PP? Talk about looking at your navels!!!
I’m sorry for getting aggravated but poverty is a very very important issue to me. This post, I feel, is reducing this really important problem to a very small worldview and it insults me.
Mary,thank you for the sites.
Hey, can I get in on the bad last names? Its not mine, but it almost was. Griepentrog. Try pronouncing that one!!
One questions about the planned parenthood thing.
At the beginning of posting here, before everyone started smoking life and seeing lemmings, someone said that PP is in poor communities because they are the ones that need it.
I get that they need the free healthcare. I really hate to admit it, but I was forced to go to PP for help. When I say forced, I was forced. Didn’t have insurance. Didn’t have money. Had horrible feminine problems. No other womans center around because PP wouldn’t allow it. (PP board of directors were on the committees that give permits. Big ‘scandal’ here that was never resolved, hence still no other place to go) The health department referred women to PP and didn’t help. I didn’t have a car so I couldn’t go to the other county and the buses didn’t go out of the county. While there, the brochures they had out were all about how safe abortion is. How they are done. The techniques used. and so on. There was one brochure about how condoms can protect against STD’s. One! Tell me again how they are not pushing abortion? I even mentioned it to the Dr that saw me. She just laughed it off. The area I lived in was heavily black. I didn’t see any information about birth control. Not even in the exam room. Not one thing. Funny. And I guess it is birth control and education that they do.
PIP, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But in reality, here’s who spends more time screaming and looking at their navels:
“But young liberalsperhaps the most vocally dissatisfied political constituency in America todayare one of the least generous demographic groups out there. In 2004, self-described liberals younger than thirty belonged to one-third fewer organizations in their communities than young conservatives. In 2002, they were 12 percent less likely to give money to charities, and one-third less likely to give blood. Liberal young Americans in 2004 were also significantly less likely than the young conservatives to express a willingness to sacrifice for their loved ones: A lower percentage said they would prefer to suffer than let a loved one suffer, that they are not happy unless the loved one is happy, or that they would sacrifice their own wishes for those they love.”
http://www.arthurbrooks.net/excerpt.html
Dont worry I would save you all, turns out I work at 8, not 7:30. ooopps…There are some people i would love to let drown…but I want to keep my job…as in the parents that think I am a babysitter and leave 4 year olds ALONE at a POOL…
and Jill: about teh and puppeh and kittah…it is stupid. seriously people, learn to write and spell at least close to correctly…
Thanks Jill. That makes me feel more hopeful for the future of my country.
I say “kitteh” and “puppeh” because I think it sounds more cute than “kitty” or “puppy”.
It kind of comse from South Park where Cartman says, “RESPECT MY AUTHORITAW!” At least that’s where I get it from. :)
Mars/Ashley/ashm: I still don’t get it, but thanks.
Valerie: PP et al have a huge money scam going. They get government funding to teach sex ed to titilate young people. In their sex ed they give pamphlets for the nearest PP. There they sell contraception. Women return to PP d/t failed contraception and STDs for paid treatment. Then they get abortions. Then they start with contraceptives again. Great scam.
PIP –
Poverty is a big issue to me too. I used to be there. I lived it. It was my own fault really, but at least I was able to get out before it consumed me. And trust me, all the free stuff you get when you are poor, it consumes you. You don’t have to work for anything. People come to your neighborhoods and say ‘poor things’ do the little clicking noise with their tongues and give handouts. They think they are helping, but all they are doing is making sure you stay there. God forbid you actually move into ‘their’ neighborhoods. (hahah – actually that was fun when I got to move into ‘their’ neighborhood. The vehicle I drove was literally held together by sheet metal. I called it my ‘hicmobile’. Very loudly called it that. It didn’t have a muffler. hehehe I did get pulled over by the cops alot.)
There are alot of programs out there for poor people to go to college. I was able to go to a 2 year business college on pell grants. The programs are out there, you just have to ask for them.
I’d love to know who goes around asking people what their political stance is when they give blood. When I tried to there was no such question (couldn’t give blood because of low iron, cried because of it, yadda yadda, we’ve talked about all of this before).
And what charity asks if your liberal or conservative when you donate money? I’ve helped raise well over $1000 for different causes and never once have I been asked my political stance.
“It kind of comse from South Park where Cartman says, “RESPECT MY AUTHORITAW!”
wOOt! South Park! ^_^
PIP, charitable giving, too:
“In 2000, households headed by a conservative gave, on average, 30 percent more money to charity than households headed by a liberal ($1,600 to $1,227). This discrepancy is not simply an artifact of income differences; on the contrary, liberal families earned an average of 6 percent more per year than conservative families, and conservative families gave more than liberal families within every income class, from poor to middle class to rich.”
I also wonder what the income of these interviewed families are. Seems to me that a lot of liberals come from back grounds of very little money so obviously they would be unable to donate a large amount.
There are at least 2x the # of pregnancy care centers as abortion mills, too. Last I knew, around 4k prcs vs. 2k mills. Prcs are all sustained by giving and volunteering. Mills are only there to make $.
Danielle, read the entire paragraph.
What’s easier? Volunteer, give money, donate food and clothes and diapers and baby furniture, adopt babies, provide foster care,
or
sit back and recommend abortion?
Valerie, don’t feel bad.I went to PP too. This was also for female problems while uninsured.I paid them cash. This clinic did not perform abortions, but at the time I went to the clinic,I didn’t take a stand on abortion.Plus, the clinic was close.I don’t have any horrible story to tell about my visit, but due to the fact that I’m now pro-life,I could/would never return.
And I’ll say another thing, PIP. I’m not sitting on my perch with my nose in the air. I’ve been poor. I’ve been a single mom. I’ve been on food stamps. How awful was that. But I had my baby.
Jill, you wanted it you got it.
Several things:
1. Most of those surveys count giving money to church charity.
2. Throwing money at a problem is not going to do much, it is where your money goes that counts. Our charity had a discussion about this not too long ago. Americand spend a total of 200 billion dollars a year on charity but throwing money at the problem isn’t going to make the problem go away. Some places feed the hungry but does nothing to actually help them lift from their state.
3. I am not sure I brought up anythign in regards to partisan politics, but you did. Why?
“sit back and recommend abortion?”
Is this directed at me? I dont’ like bragging about what I do but if you want me to tell you so you won’t think I just “sit back and recommend abortion” I’ll tell you.
“But I had my baby.”
Good for you, Jill.
PIP, what is your point? Now giving money is bad? I said, conservatives not only give more money, they volunteer more time and goods. You accused us of sitting here whining and not understanding. But we’re walking the walk.
“Now that is something I’ll never get Mars/Ashley/ashm. If you’re pro-choice, why want to hold back and such a glorious right? Why do you insist on being called pro CHOICE, not pro-ABORTION? Are you ashamed? Embarrassed?”
Your an idiot Jill. Being Pro-Choice does not mean you are Pro-Abortion.
Did capitalizing the word abortion somehow make you feel more rightous, more like you had a point?
Momof3, funny how you mention Dan “butt kissing the other pro-choicers on the blog”, “butt kissing”… did you get that phrase from one of your children?
pathetic.
“Oh MK, go look at the post I left for SOMG right under yours”… like you don’t try to impress every pro-lifer in here with your crap.
PIP, I can’t win with you. You accuse me/us of screaming while looking at our navels. I explained that we don’t. You lament poverty causes abortion. I explained as one who lived through poverty, no it does not.
“PIP, what is your point? Now giving money is bad?”
No, I’m saying that giving money to a charity that feeds soup to people without helping them lift them from their condition is a nice thought but contributes little to society as a whole.
I’m not saying one side is better than the other just that looking at how much money you give away is not representative of who’s “helping the country” better or anything like that.
“I said, conservatives not only give more money, they volunteer more time and goods. You accused us of sitting her whining and not understanding.”
I was not making a general statements about conservatives. I’m saying that right now you are calling PP racist and then posting all of these statistics. When I point out possibilities of why this may be true and the fact that this is really a wider, poverty issue rather than just a PP thing, you all accuse me of advocating killing babies for poverty and then proceed to argue about PPs racist beginnings. You completely missed my point and now you are trying to justify the problem by dragging in these statistics about charitable giving..
LG,
I don’t even know what my crap looks like…I usually flush, not study it under a microscope…so I hardly think I’m trying to impress anybody with it.
Are you just mad because I didn’t offer you a magnet?
mk
LG,
Ohhhhh…
Good one momof3!! You really made MK proud!!
High-five!!
This is your earth shattering post?
I’ve changed my mind…no magnet for you!
mk
MK: Do you get a kick out of reading bumperstickers on people’s cars when stuck in traffic?
I would if I could see that far…old age you know.
Why, don’t you?
Read the post… it wasn’t directed towards you, it was directed towards momof3.
Take a little time out of trying to be all witty and sarcastic, focus on reading a post and seeing if it is actually directed towards you before opening your mouth.
Besides,
I’m far too busy trying to avoid hitting lemmings.
Oh,LG I just came back to the board.Just in time it seems. You missed it. We were all laughing together.I’ll bet you don’t do that much.Your face might crack!!
PIP, the poverty is with morals, not money. There are plenty of poverty-stricken areas in the country, and they don’t abort their babies. 70% of black babies born are to single mothers. There’s a vacuum of real men in the black community. Bill Cosby is absolutely right.
“Oh MK, go look at the post I left for SOMG right under yours”… like you don’t try to impress every pro-lifer in here with your crap.
Read the post… it wasn’t directed towards you, it was directed towards momof3.
Take a little time out of trying to be all witty and sarcastic, focus on reading a post and seeing if it is actually directed towards you before opening your mouth.
are you confused?
I Know I am
MK: Yes, I do. My particular favorites are:
“If the fetus you save is gay, would you still fight for its rights?”
“If you stop praying in my school, I will stop thinking in your church.”
“Stop Incest: Ban Country Music!”
Your face might crack!!
what in the hell does that mean?
“PIP, I can’t win with you. You accuse me/us of screaming while looking at our navels.”
In that you still blame PP for the high abortion rates among blacks.
“I explained that we don’t.”
By saying that conservatives give more to charity?
“You lament poverty causes abortion.”
It is at least one of the several reasons people get an abortion.
“I explained as one who lived through poverty, no it does not.”
I’m very glad you did not get an abortion. I’m just trying to remind you that these people we are talking about are dynamic beings. It’s imaginable that someone who is poor sees abortion as an option. We can help stop the mindset, but attacking PP does not do any good.
LG,Get over it.So last night I mistook you for SOMG.I know that’s a major insult, believe me. You’re not Dan tonight are you? How about Cameron? Yikes! Did you just roll out of bed? You seem a bit agitated.
MK: Yes, I do. My particular favorites are:
“If the fetus you save is gay, would you still fight for its rights?”
“If you stop praying in my school, I will stop thinking in your church.”
“Stop Incest: Ban Country Music!”
Ooooooooh, He’s good!
LG,
crack (krk)
v. cracked, crack
My mom hates the country music ones…she is a huuuuge country music fan. Given the opportunity, she’d marry Keith Urban. :-p
MK-
I was speaking of momof3, telling Dan he “butt kisses” every prolifer in here, meanwhile she leaves this post…
“MK,Please E-mail me and let me know.I had to laugh and let off some steam-AAAAAhhh that felt good.MK,when you get a minute go back to the Tiller video and see how I responded to SOMG,right after you.Still LOL.”
Hence my post…
“Oh MK, go look at the post I left for SOMG right under yours”… like you don’t try to impress every pro-lifer in here with your crap.”
Got it now?
PIP –
You said that giving money to Churches counts as charity. I may have read that wrong but it sounds like you are saying the Churches don’t do charity.
http://www.catholic.org/national/national_story.php?id=20530
There are two reasons why I want you to go to the above website.
1. this is what churches can do
2. I love this man! He is an inspiration. and I wanted to share his story.
I got it before.
I get it now.
But I still don’t get it.
Thanks for giving me the definition of crack…
however i was looking for why my face might; break or snap apart, make a sharp snapping sound, or break without complete separation of parts.
If you smiled.
You have heard of smiling haven’t you?
Shall I google that definition too?
PIP,
Christian Churches put the “C” in charity…
mk
PIP, even supporters of PP can’t escape the cold hard #s. I gave you a stat from Guttmacher, along with a link. 95% of abortion mills are in urban areas. They don’t locate in nice suburban areas, even though the demographics would support them. They go where the people don’t have the wherewithal to fight them. pP started with a eugenics agenda and it still has that cold blood running through its veins. Even now it is pushing abortion in poor African and Mexican/South American countries.
I have always found it interesting that people think when babies smile they are happy, when in reality smiles are nothing more than a natural grimace and the only reason they continue to smile is because of the positive attention they get from it.
It’s so fascinating what you learn when you watch TLC.^_^
Rae,
You watch too much TV.
I read in my pediatricians office that infants actually have to “learn” how to chew.
First they learn how to move food around in their mouths. Then how to maneuver it to the back of their throats. Then to swallow it. Then to chew it.
They are amazing aren’t they?
Of course it helps if they’re alive…
mk
“I may have read that wrong but it sounds like you are saying the Churches don’t do charity.”
No, I did not mean to say that. In fact Catholics are one of the biggest leaders in terms of charity. However, money given to church is also used for church expenses. So, not all of the money is going towards charity.
And that guy is really cool :)
There is a girl kinda like that here. She is one of the busiest people I know. Twice a week she wakes up so that she can cook breakfast for a place that helps people with resumes and job prep–ready at 6:00am.
I smile all the time, most of all, while looking at the articles and posts from jill, and your posts, and momof3’s posts, and hismans’s posts…
You all make me laugh.
Your posts are all laughable.
In fact, momof3, it was you lastnight who really cause me to smile when you assumed i was SOMG posting as LG…
simply stunning…
but now i have some work to do, but i’m sure you’ll provide me with some laughs for the next time, i check jill’s wonderful site.
HA! “The mope” “Catholics Only.”
Good Colbert Report today.
LG,Why don’t you get your facts straight before you assume things? I’m in a good mood tonight.MK is pro-life, and I like her.Dan is okay, but he’s confused about his pro-CHOICE facts.Besides, who just rolled out of bed and started swinging? You immediatly jumped to Dan’s defense. He told me off himself. No need for you at all.Seems like you’re bitter. I would be too if I defended baby killers.
thanks momof3…
you aided in my laughter before i even left.
PS Loreal aka LG it is you who is the laugh. You must get your stregnth in numbers. It’s because you’re on the wrong team.I don’t need to impress anyone.I wanted to share something with MK.Now go to bed you angry, bitter, jealous, miserable, sulking, envious pro-deather.
LG,
Beware the lemmings.
mk
I’m not denying there are crazies out there. I just think that calling PP racist is picking the wrong target. If you want to want to stop the problem go to the source.
TAD!!! I love Paul Dinello.
You mean like the two homeless guys in the woods I fed all winter? Or the baby shower were throwing for the womens center next month? Or the flower sale to raise money for unwed mothers?
What? Do you think I spend all my time on this website doin’ nothing?
Oh wait, lately I do spend all my time on this website…scratch that!
But still…I do my share in the hands on arena.
Sleeeeeeep, must have sleeeeeeeeeeep….
gotta go count sheep jumping off of cliffs.
Off of cliff’s what? Who is this cliff?
To find out the answers to these and other riveting questions come back tomorrow…
until then…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
“What? Do you think I spend all my time on this website doin’ nothing?”
I’m not implying that anyone on this site is not giving enough. I’m just saying that the real racism in America–it’s true source–is the state of poverty.
Jill’s use of statistics in her post did nothing more than demonstrate this fact.
So clearly the solution to this problem is not to be focusing time on PP, it is to focus time on the poverty issue. (in a general sense, I’m not trying to single anybody out here).
MK –
you disappoint.
The lemmings feel left out now. Why can’t you count them?
It’s okay, Valerie, we’ll have fun ;)
I feel really bad I got upset. I see homeless people all the time and try to help them, but sometimes when I look at the state of America it is just wholly depressing :/
Why are people hatin’ on the lemmings? They are such cute little rodents.
Rae~
Keith Urban = hot Australian accent + guitar prodigy. Not to mention multimillions. Yo mama is frakkin smart.
Darren Hayes = hot Australian accent that’s tempered with a bit of Brit + Most gorgeous voice evar
Darren Hayes >>> Keith Urban :-p
After reading this article, I talked of the article with one friend on EbonyFriends com and we want to say that the poorness causes the discrimination.
It is the duty to protect the children for parents, babies don’t make mistakes. A lot of black women discussed the problem on EbonyFriends.com.
SOMG
Forget about aborting black people. What I want to know is, can we detect and abort right-to-lifers?
what if they’re black right to lifers?
PIP, 10:53p, said: “So clearly the solution to this problem is not to be focusing time on PP, it is to focus time on the poverty issue.”
and, 11:09p: “I feel really bad I got upset.”
PIP, I appreciate your authenticity.
PIP, here is how PP’s focus on aborting poor, and your excusing poor people for aborting, is racist.
Up until the late 1700s, we approached human suffering by trying to alleviate the suffering: providing food, shelter, the basics, teaching survival and thrival skills.
In the late 1700s Thomas Malthus (you can google or Wikipedia him) proposed the idea that to alleviate human suffering we should cut down on humans that might suffer. Malthus is the father of the concept of population control.
That, in a nutshell, I hope sheds light on why the approach of abortion you condone, and that PP et al commit, is racist and eugenicist.
Here is a beautiful excerpt from a 1989 statement signed by 16 African-American leaders (in 1994 signed by 29 others). It is a bit lengthy, but I encourage you to read it.
Planned parenthood, abortions, etc: not racist. What is racist? Witholding choice: (source: “Our Bodies, Ourselves” published by Touchstone, 2005)
“Choice is the essence of freedom. It’s what we African-Americans have struggled for all these years. The right to choose where we would sit on a bus. The right to vote. The right for each of us to select our own paths, to dream, to reach for our dreams. The right to choose how we would or would not live our lives.
“This freedom – to choose and to exercise our choices – is what we’ve fought and died for. Brought here in chains, worked like mules, bred like beasts, whipped one day, sold the next: 244 years we were held in bondage. Somebody said that we were less than human and not fit for freedom. Somebody said we were like children and could not be trusted to think for ourselves. Somebody owned our flesh and decided if and when and with whom and how our bodies were to be used. Somebody said that black women could be raped, held in concubinage, forced to bear children year in and year out, but often not raise them. Oh, yes, we have known how painful it is to be without choice in this land …
“Now once again, somebody is trying to say we can’t handle freedom of choice …. Somebody’s saying that we must have babies whether we choose to or not. Doesn’t matter what we say, doesn’t matter how we feel. Some say that abortion under any circumstance is wrong, others say that rape and incest and danger to the life of the woman are the only exceptions. Doesn’t matter that nobody’s saying who decides if it was rape or incest, if a woman’s word is good enough, if she must go to court and prove it. Doesn’t matter that she may not be able to take care of a baby, that the problem also affects girls barely out of adolescence, that our children are having children. Doesn’t matter if you’re poor and pregnant – go on welfare or walk away.
“What does matter is that we know abortions will still be done, legal or not. We know the consequences when women are forced to make choices without protection – coat hangers and knitting needles that punctured the wombs of women forced to seek back-alley abortions on kitchen tables at the hands of butchers. The women who died screaming in agony, awash in their own blood. The women who were made sterile. All the women who endured the pain of makeshift surgery with no anesthetics and risked fatal infection …
“We understand why African-American women risked their lives then and why they seek safe, legal abortion now. It has been a matter of survival …. African-American women once again will be among the first forced to risk their lives if abortion is made illegal.
“There have always been those who have stood in the way of our exercising our rights, who tried to restrict our choices. There probably always will be. But we who have been oppressed should not be swayed in our opposition to tyranny of any kind, especially attempts to take away our reproductive freedom. You may believe abortion is wrong. We respect your belief and will do all in our power to protect that choice for you. You may decide that abortion is not an option you would choose. Reproductive freedom guarentees that right to you. All that we ask is that no one deny another human being the right to make her own choice. That no one condemn her to exercising her choices in ways that endanger her health, her life. And that no one prevent others from creating safe, affordable, legal conditions to accomodate women, whatever the choices they make. Reproductive freedom gives each of us the right to make our own choices and guarentees us a safe, legal, affordable support system. It’s the right choice ….
“… Remember who we are, remember our history, our continuing struggle to freedom. Remember to tell them (the pro-lifers) that we remember!”
“here is how PP’s focus on aborting poor, and your excusing poor people for aborting, is racist.”
I’m not excusing anyone. You asked me what I meant when I posted a quote reminding how minorities as a whole are disproportionately poor. I offered this as at least one of the reasons why so many minorities seek abortion and the other services offered at PP. I didn’t say “and it’s true, they should use abortion, abortion is just swell.” If the statistics are true then there are probably several reasons why poor people are tempted to look at abortion as an answer.
This is not condoning anything. This is simply stating the truth.
I hope that soon it can come to the point where abortion can no longer become an “answer” and the poor can take care of a pregnancy and raise a child without fear of financial ruin. When abortion is no longer wanted, we can begin drafting legislation to criminalize it.
“In the late 1700s Thomas Malthus (you can google or Wikipedia him) proposed the idea that to alleviate human suffering we should cut down on humans that might suffer. Malthus is the father of the concept of population control.”
I dont’ believe population control is the answer. I think I’ve stated this several times.
“That, in a nutshell, I hope sheds light on why the approach of abortion you condone, and that PP et al commit, is racist and eugenicist.”
Please realize that I don’t condone anything. Offering an explanation is not condoning it.
Leah,
I can’t believe we fought the civil war to free slaves so that they can kill their own children.
So much for black pride.
They are now free to choose to kill their children at a faster rate than they are giving birth to them.
Soon there won’t be any black people left. Then we can say “Well, at least they had their “choice””.
If we were advocating make abortion illegal only for black folks, your above post might have merit.
But the black population wants equality and we agree. No abortions for anyone…black or white.
See? No discrimination.
mk
First of all, MK, my excerpt doesn’t necessarily have to apply to only African-Americans. Because they had to suffer through such hardships of not having choice, why should anyone? How about this equality: African Americans can have abortions … and so can anyone else.
You said “Soon there won’t be any black people left.”
I have no idea where you got this notion, but it made me wonder … is it true? I did a bit of research, MK:
`
Between 1990 and 2000:
The African American population has increased by 4.7 million: 15.6%
The Hispanic community (in case you’re concerned about the other minorities as well) has had an increase in population of 58%
The Asian and Pacific islanders community has increased by 48%
And the total population of the United States has increased by 13.2%
Actually, it looks like the minorities are growing at a faster rate than the white community, huh? I don’t think we have to worry about anyone dying out.

Leah, first, that information (and I checked out the link) is incorrect to say blacks still comprise the largest minority when you look at the actual census figures and take into consideration the total Hispanic population.
Second, you can make stats say anything. When you said, “The African American population has increased by 4.7 million: 15.6% [between 1990-2000],” you did not take into account foreign-born blacks who immigrated to the US during that time.
If you look at the US Census chart on p. 7 of the first link in my post (figure 5), you’ll see that 11.1% of the 2000 black population was foreign born. If you look at p. 8 you’ll read that 42% of foreign born blacks in America in 2000 arrived b/t 1990-2000. This means that approximately 1/3 of the growth in the black population over that course of time was thanks to immigration.
Rework your numbers, Leah, and let’s talk about actual black babies born.
Jill,
What about the hispanic non-english speaking babies??? Twice more abortions than whites.
Don’t you care about the hispanics??
We care about iguanas too.
But this blog was on the African American Community.
Can I give you a hand tying your shoes.
I see you’re in the afternoon kindergarten.
Got your mornings free, huh?
MK
hispanic babies = iguanas…
Nice!
What about the hispanic non-english speaking babies???
Non-english speaking babies???
Didn’t know babies could speak any language.
Cameron,
I keep telling you. If you’re going to be a complete jerk, at least make an effort to be a clever complete jerk!!!
Those stats were taken in 2000, when the African American population was still the majority minority.
As for the immigration, still a majority of the black population was born in the States, and thus the population is still growing. Therefore, we are in no danger of losing our black population in the United States.
But yes, for the time, those stats were correct.
“mom of 3”, the point is no one ever knows how many illegal events take place because they are not reported.
You just don’t know.
You never will know.
SOMG,What are you talking about? I know enough.I know abortion has always been wrong and always will be.Are you trying to convince me otherwise? If so,it isn’t working.I really don’t want or need to know everything there is to know about killing children.Instead of you reading medical books all day and pretending to be an MD,why don’t you try something else? Baseball? I don’t even take you seriously anymore. LATER internet troll.
SOMG, our very own mystery man. Your post intrigues me. What do you mean, “You just don’t know. You never will know.”? Give a hint as to what you’re talking about.
I mean you just don’t know how many illegal abortions were done in the USA before Roe/Wade.
Or, for that matter, how many are done today in Ireland or Brazil.
You don’t know how many will be done in the USA if abortion ever becomes illegal. And you won’t know then.
That’s all.
BTW that wasn’t me asking about aborting right-to-lifers, that was a violent character called Doctor Defense.
Oh ya it was too you. We’re onto you SOMG.HEHE
ha ha
SOMG,If you think you know something that I don’t know, would you let me know? In other words, let’s see your proof. How many illegal abortions were there?
No one knows. That’s the point.
Well,Bernard Nathanson knows,so I have to go with him. They lied! They lied about how many abortions were done illegally.
No, even Nathanson doesn’t know.
Ya He does
No, he doesn’t. He admitted that he took a wild guess.
Bernard Nathanson admitted that abortion advocates lied about the number of illegal abortion deaths, not the number of illegal abortions themselves. Both sides can only speculate on the number of illegal abortions.
Nathanson stated that abortion advocates knew full well that the number of known illegal abortion deaths prior to Roe v Wade had been steadily decreasing over the years. In 1972, one year prior to Roe it was 36. This most certainly did not serve the purposes of the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL) so they touted the number of 10,000 plus, though, according to Nathanson, NARAL knew this was a total falsehood.
Also NARAL deliberately singled out the Catholic Church as a common enemy against which the pro-aborts could rally. They didn’t call themselves “pro-choice” then. They were pro-abortion and made no effort to downplay or sanitize that fact.
Though various religions opposed abortion, The Catholic Church’s hierarchy provided the best and most visible target and best suited NARAL’s needs. What better than a common enemy against whom you can rally supporters and sympathizers to your cause? Just ask members of the KKK or any white supremist group. NARAL also had the advantage of a very compliant and supportive media to promote their lies, bigotry(against Catholics), and cause.
The Supreme Court rulings Roe and Doe legalized abortion across the land and even these rulings were based on trickery and deceit. In both cases, vulernable women, Doe, an abused woman in desperate cirumstances fighting to keep her children, and Roe, an emotionally unstable woman pregnant as the result of an affair with a married businessman, were used. These women have since claimed they were tricked and lied to by attorneys desperate to use them to promote the abortion cause, a cause Doe claims she never supported. Roe and her liars, excuse me, lawyers, claimed she was gang raped, which Roe later stated was a complete fallacy. Did her lawyers know she was lying, or even care? I don’t know if they have ever been asked, or answered this question.
Then there was the emotional appeal to the public. Legal abortion would stop child abuse, cure poverty, curb illegitimacy, cut down welfare expense, cut down crime, eliminate birth defects, and prevent the births of drug and alcohol addicted children.
That my friends is how abortion came to be legalized in this country.
BTW that wasn’t me asking about aborting right-to-lifers, that was a violent character called Doctor Defense.
I know you have psychopathic tendencies, but now you have an alter personality too? You just get creepier and creepier.
At least you admit you’re violent!
mk
Mary,
I just love your posts!
MK
MK,
Thank you so much! I’m glad someone does.
I second it, Mary. I have appreciated all of your posts and only wish you would come by more often! :)
The Democrats’ Next War
Tonight on the Truth and Hope Report:
We talk about the Democrat’s next war, ACLU double standards, the possibility of theocracy, the coming of legal incest, the importance of good parenting, and the need for a challenge from the church.

Bethany,
Thank you as well for your kind words. Like MK’s, they are very much appreciated.
I’m on an occasional blogger since working full time and competing with my husband for the computer limits me. So does the fact that sometimes I just very much enjoy reading everyone elses comments and debates, including yours and MK’s, and will add my opinion if something really inspires me to do so.
Jill’s blog definitely promotes debate and opposing viewpoints, and hopefully can change a few minds along the way. You and MK do a wonderful job so keep up your good work!
Yes Mary,I love your posts. Please come more often!
