Attend Aurora Planned Parenthood protest tomorrow
Tomorrow morning at 9:00a is an important protest at the intended site of the Aurora Planned Parenthood abortion mill. We have to match or surpass our previous number of 1,200.
The situation is now getting national traction. For the first time, as far as I know, the Associated Press covered the story today, as did many other media outlets. I’m sure many will show tomorrow….
And we certainly don’t won’t to disappoint Planned Parenthood Fed CEO Cecile Richards, who yesterday called this the “most emboldened protest by the most radical anti-choice people… ever.” Woo hoo!
And you will not want to miss the clergy press conference to be held during the protest announcing the ad they have placed in this Sunday’s Aurora Beacon News and Naperville Sun. Over 120 had signed it at last count, pummelling the 9 out-of-area faux clergy who held a press conference a few days ago supporting PP.
Information on parking and a map are at the Families Against Planned Parenthood site.
Hard to believe, but today the City of Aurora went to court asking for a restraining order against our March tomorrow. The judge denied their request, thanks to fancy footwork by pro-life attorneys Jason Craddock and Tom Brejcha.
Who knows? This could be our Selma. There indeed is something stirring here. You can’t force these things. They grow organically. You can only join in when you see them happening. Don’t miss this one.

I wish I could be there…. I think you will be reaching your goal and higher!

“Seven groups plan to circle the block – from Oakhurst to McCoy Drive, to Eola Road, to New York and back to Oakhurst – seven times while singing and playing musical instruments.”

“The plan is to perform the Vanilla Ice classic “Ice Ice Baby” until the clinic staff is driven to take their own lives.” Said the music director for JesusLovesFetus.org, “If that doesn’t work we’re going to reverse direction and try the Herman’s Hermits hit “Henery the VIII I Am.”
Jill,
Do you know if Kim Gandy lives in Aurora, IL? On the families against PP Blog one of the posters stated the President of NOW lives in Aurora, IL.
Mike
Very funny, Laura! :)
All kidding aside, if you haven’t been to one of the “Jericho marches” yet, you HAVE GOT to go to the one on Saturday! I just got back from tonight’s march, and there were over 200 people there!!! If you have never felt God’s presence around you, or have never been touched by the Holy Spirit…now is your chance! What an awesome opportunity to be a one of God’s soldiers, united with your community, and to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. GO!!! You won’t regret it!!!
Laura,
take Laura K’s advice, this is your chance.
All,
You can listen to audio of Alveda King at this link (post#2)…

“the Associated Press covered the story today, as did many other media outlets.”
I heard WLS 890AM (That’s talk radio in Chicago) talk about the protest at about 9PM. I am sure there will be lots and lots of counter protesters because of all the media attention.
The protest should be at Edward Hospital. Without a hospital to sign on as a Partner; they could not perform abortions. Edward Hospital has signed on to be a partner; and they should know that is unacceptable. They should be protested to remind them that they are to save lives and not participate in taking innocent lives.
No, Kim Gandy does not live in Aurora.
Well if I lived anywhere near there I would come to protest y’all’s protest (just kidding). Although I would go so I could meet some of you in person. Maybe one day?
MK, I might take you up on you offer to come to Chicago during winter break. I love snow and would like to witness more of it in my life time :-).
Oh and dont worry, I didnt drink and drive the 4wheeler, I drank and was driven on it :-)..
oops, laptop is acting up again
::shakes finger at it::
Bethany,
You will be with them/us in spirit.
If these protests and prayer vigils keep going on, you’ll have to bring the hubby and the kids up here and join us!
Laura,
Please do come. We won’t bite!
You might even like some of us!
BTW, I liked Herman’s Hermits. Even saw them when I was 13. (oh, that dates me!)
Herman, aka, Peter Noonan, is still singing around I hear. I still think they were pretty good for 1966-67.
Good luck today! I wish I could join you, but I’m in MA. There is a mill in my hometown so that’s where I will be this morning, praying and picketing.

Hey Mikey (sorry, had to say that), the president of IL NOW, Bonnie Grabenhofer, lives in Aurora at the same street address as IL NOW VP, Gay Bruhn.
Laura,
take Laura K’s advice, this is your chance.

Thanks Jasper, but if I felt like walking around and around a structure I’d go to Mecca for Hajj.
HAH!
The Aurora Hajj has been RUINED!:

(Now they’ll have to stand in one spot and play “Ice Ice Baby,” or perhaps Cisco’s timeless melody, “The Thong Song.”)
Why are those the only 2 songs to choose from?
MK, Tolkien rocks.
Doug,
Tolkien was a devout Catholic. He rocks twice.
Tolkien was a devout Catholic. He rocks twice.
Heh – if you say so, MK. His mom went Catholic not long before her death, which really bummed out her Baptist family. JRR became really hardcore, and felt that outside the Catholic church there was no salvation.
Tolkien was a buddy of C.S. Lewis, and Tolkien’s beliefs had a big impact on Lewis, who had gone from christianity to atheism, and back to christianity after he’d befriended Tolkien, though he chose Anglicanism, which really disappointed Tolkien.
Yes,
I know. Which is why he rocks twice. Too bad he’s dead. You might have hooked up and learned something.

Could be, MK, and vice-versa.
Doug
Oh yeah Doug,
I’m sure Tolkien would have become an atheist and pro-choice after hearing your arguments on valuation…lol.

Silly.
I just found word in national news of your fight against the proposed PP mill today. Keep up the great work & praise God for the victories so far!
Praying for my valiant pro-life friends,
