Aurora: TLN, Pavone, and Brouhoho
Jeff from ChicagoProLifeActivist has posted a 5-minute video of clips of pastors speaking at the September 15 Jerich March finale. It’s just great. See Rev. Johnny Hunter and others – black, white, Catholic, Protestant, and even a biker pastor – speak with passion and cohesiveness.
Other PP Aurora-related events…
Tonight
The one-hour t.v. show TLN Now! on northeast IL/northwest IN Comcast’s Total Living Network will broadcast live tonight at 9:00p and be all about Aurora Planned Parenthood. Eric Scheidler and others will appear. See TLN press release here. See channels here.

High noon tomorrow
The pro-life movement’s beloved Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life will join activists at Aurora’s nonfunctioning PP at 12p to pray.
Tomorrow’s Aurora City Council meeting and PP Brouhoho
Get ready to rally! PP’s email below (click to enlarge) indicates plans for a brouhoho tomorrow at 5p before the City Council meeting. (Since PP promotes ho-dum, I thought “brouhoho” better to describe the event than “brouhaha.”)
[HT: Brian Burch]
Reader Nancy emailed that when she signed up early this afternoon to speak at the 6p meeting tomorrow, she was #120 on the list. So it may be another long night. I think we should add to our repertoire of talking points the question why city officials aren’t barring PP from the site, per city ordinances.

Jeff,
You have done it again! That was remarkable. It brought back all of the feelings I had when I was there hearing those men and women of God speaking in person.
God Bless You,
MK

Pope May Have Been Euthanized
Reported by: Regional News Service

(Rome) — A new article by an Italian medical professor speculates the death of Pope John Paul the Second was caused by euthanasia.
According to “TIME” magazine, an intensive care specialist says the Pope’s death would be considered euthanasia by standards set by the Catholic Church.
The doctor bases her conclusion on press reports and a book written by the Pope’s physician.
She says the decision not to insert a feeding tube until just a few days before his death accelerated the death of the ailing pontiff.
Plus, the doctor believes the Pope himself made the decision not to insert the tube after consulting with medical professionals.
He had been hospitalized twice before his 2005 death.
Catholics are told to take any effort to prolong life.
The article appears in an Italian magazine critical of the church’s stance on medical ethics.
The doctor says she decided to revisit the Pope’s death after a recent ruling by the Catholic Church on euthanasia.

No they aren’t Laura. That would be just as bad as trying to take any effort to end life.
Go back and read Brother Francis’ replies to PIP if you’re confused. Our Holy Father, was dying. He was not a perfectly healthy woman with brain damage.
If he was dying and became unable to eat, or digest what food he would be given through a tube, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with the decision to “allow him to die”…
I wish you’d take the time to read up on the church and her teachings before you dismissed them so callously. But I guess that’s too much to hope for…

Holy crow….
Hey Doug,
I posted a whole bunch of stuff from my angels and demons book on another post and forgot to address them to you…but you are nonetheless who they were for…
Have you by any chance read them?

I’m not even vaguely interested in Church teachings, I just thought it was an interesting story and passed it along.
On a DU site we were having a field day with Bush’s declaration of Sept. 24 as “National Family Day.” It didn’t even get mentioned here.

Yes, MK – “Proliferations 9-21-07.”
Distilling many of the thoughts presented there, I see it coming to either accepting what we really know, given the assumptions that we make (can’t get away from some assumptions), or having the desire to insert things on “faith.”
Doug
Anyone have a clue how the City Counsel is going or what kind of turnout they had? Media coverage?
