Planned Parenthood Aurora is conducting business at its Aurora address. Here is its contact info, lifted today from its website (click to enlarge):

UPDATE, 9/24, 7:55a:: The PP Aurora website is still listing its Aurora address as its business contact….

In a September 19 letter from Aurora attorney Alayne Weingartz, responding to Aurora attorney Vince Tessitore’s previous day’s demand that the city bar Planned Parenthood Aurora from the premises upon the September 17 expiration of its temporary occupancy permit, she wrote:

While this matter is pending before Judge Norgle we will maintain the status quo as to the occupancy of this site until the hearing tomorrow, September 20, 2007.

Well, it is now the morning after, and PP lost its motion in federal court to open for business before Aurora completed its investigation of PP fraud.
Tessitore shot off another letter to Weingartz yesterday afternoon (see it below) stating:

… the current legal status quo is that occupany of the subject property is unlawful. This is true whether that occupany be the conducting of business or any other physical presence within the building.

But the Daily Herald reported this morning:

Steve Trombley, CEO and president of Planned Parenthood, said his staff is training and unpacking.
City spokesman Carie Anne Ergo said clinic leaders are allowed inside under a “prestock” approval given by the city’s building department on Aug. 10.
Such approval, which won’t expire “at this time,” allows businesses to pre-stock shelves so they’re ready to open, she said. It’s what allowed people inside before the clinic was given a temporary occupancy permit on Sept. 16.
A letter was sent to clinic officials Thursday from the city warning them any activity must be limited to training and equipment setup.
City inspectors have been sent out to ensure the clinic is not seeing patients, Ergo said.

Tessitore told me late last night two newspapers calling for comment had repeated that Ergo line to him. He responded, “PP has stated in open court that they are ready to open for business and everything is done. Therefore, they have no reason to be in the building. Since they were complaining about wanting to be open, they’re done moving things in.”
Indeed, the Associated Press reported this morning:

The $7.5 million building stands finished but empty. It was supposed to open Tuesday….

By its own claims, PP Aurora stands ready to open, and it is actually soliciting business to the clinic address and phone number as well as soliciting business (see left side of contact page) to spite the very city not enforcing the law to eject it.
After all PP has done to it, Aurora officlals apparently still don’t get they’re dealing with a vicious, ruthless organization that will never, ever reciprocate benevolence or any demonstration of trepidation whatsoever. PP only sees such as a sign of weakness and will take full advantage of it.
