Select a candidate quiz

Take the 11 question quiz on this website to determine which presidential candidate lines up closest to your convictions. I was a little surprised by the #1 and #2 candidates I picked – Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson – although not surprised by which GOP candidate came in last – Rudy Giuliani.
Of course, all Democrats scored at the bottom of the barrel. Dodd sat at the bottom of the bottom.
[HT: friend Donna]

Hmmm…I had no idea Sam Brownback was opposed to the death penalty…
I scored Kucinich, I didn’t even know he was still in the race….
Sam Brownback was my #1, which didn’t surprise me, followed by Jill’s #1 and #2 respectively. Hillary was the bottom for me. Again, not a surprise.
I got Hunter and Thompson, too.
I’m bummed. I don’t like Thompson. I’m a Brownbacker and heart Huckabee.
I put absolute priority on life issues and that’s not an option in that survey. So I’ll stay with my candidates.
P.S. Bill Richardson was dead last.
Duncan Hunter and Thompson for me as well! Richardson was my pathetic last…
Duncan Hunter was my #1, Brownback my #2
..Jkeller, you’re way out there to the left…
Split between Joe Biden and Chris Dodd with Ron Paul at the very bottom according to this meaningless little bit of fun.
I double dog dare you to take this one and name what Super Villian you represent.

I came up Poison Ivy.
Brownback is a good Catholic man. He has creepy gameshow host hair, though.
1. Brownback
2. McCain
3 (tie). Fred, Hunter, Tancredo
In last place, it’s a tie between Richardson, Kookcinich, Hillary Rotten, and the Obamanation.
Sally, the link just takes me to the myspace homepage….
Hunter S. Thompson for president! (j/k I know he’s dead)
Thompson and Tancredo are my last place finishers, and I guess it turns out that I don’t :heart: huckabee, as he is next to last.
I scored Edwards…. which has Sarah laughing.
I actually harbor no desires to vote for any of my top five. Determining who you will vote for my taking an internet quiz is very toolish of anyone anyhow.
Hm… Edwards didn’t even appear on my list of candidates. I guess I must disagree with the Silky Pony on every issue.
my=by
my fingers are faster than my brain I guess
Who is Mike Gravel? He looks like a cruise ship captain….
I scored Kucinich as well, though only by two points. Obama, Hilary and Edwards all followed as a tie.
Fred Thompson came in dead last for me
“Who is Mike Gravel? He looks like a cruise ship captain….”
LOL
I had Hillary and Obama in a tie, Fred Thompson dead last.
I’m so glad that the primaries – for all intents and purposes – will be over February 5th.
Oh that was too funny!
I had a Hillary and Obama tie also. They both scored 5…tied for LAST! The only issue I agreed with them on was energy!
Brownback #1 (no surprise)
Hunter #2 (I don’t even know who the guy is!)
Thompson #3
Hunter is a big supporter of pollution, he is also a hero of jasper’s.
Sally, the link just takes me to the myspace homepage….

So sorry. Try this and tell me if it works.

Still trying to get used to my Mac.
Ha! The Joker 53%, followed closely by Mr. Freeze at 50%
P.S.
Macs are awesome!
I got Mr. Freeze followed by the joker, lol
Im sure most, if not all, of you have done this one, but it is fun nonetheless.
What level of Hell are you?
http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.mv
Apocalypse 90%
Magneto 88%
Lex Luthor 83%
Dan.
7th circle of hell.
Third circle of hell, reserved for the gluttons…
Level 8
Though it doesn’t seem to fit me that well…
P.S.
Macs are awesome!

They so are not willing NOT to put up with bullcrap. LOVE MY MAC!
Apocalypse ranked highest at a measly 47%. Guess I’m not much of a villain.
And I go to Purgatory. w00t!
JKeller said: “Hunter is a big supporter of pollution, he is also a hero of jasper’s.”
No, he’s just pro-choice! Since everybody knows that it’s OK to end a thought with the term “pro-choice”, so we don’t have to say “pro-choice when it comes to a woman’s right to pollute.”
I got Brownback first, and honestly I have no idea who he is. Next was McCain, and other than having the utmost respect for his service to our country, I really don’t care for him to much (especially in light of recent comments).
Maybe I will check out this Brownback fellow.
My last few were Romney (he is pro-choice???), Edwards and Richardson. Which is too bad, because I have a secret crush on Johnny boy.
Oh well, that was fun.
Oh, and I am in purgatory. Wow, not to bad for a heathen…
J/K of course….
Isn’t Catholicism wonderful?
I did the dante test pre conversion – second level of hell.
Then I did it post conversion (and post confession) and I made it to purgatory!
Giuliani scored above a couple of dems for me, which doesn’t surprise me. Kucinich was my top, and Huckabee was at the bottom.
My personal prediction for Democratic candidate: Obama.
And Republican: Giuliani.
As much as you guys dislike him, he is definitely a front runner!
And I would be a Juggernaut…whatever that means.
Not a Juggernaut, MK. Juggernaut. He’s a Marvel guy. He’s really big and jacked. He also wears all brown.
I am Dr. Doom!! How cool is that :-)
I am also apparently in favor of Chris Dodd for president. Unfortunately, I have no idea who he is without googling him. At the bottom of my list is Duncan Hunter, followed closely by John McCain.
Bobby,
LOL Yeah that’s me…big and jacked. Wait til I tell my kids!
Interesting little quiz (candidates, I mean, not superheroes).
I got Duncan Hunter first, then Thompson, then Tancredo, then Brownback…At the bottom was Kucinich, then Dodd, then Edwards, Clinton, Richardson and Obama all tied.
John L,
Then I guess you’ll be choosing the right accessory to make your compulsory oxygen mask fashionable….
I find it interesting that what everyone thinks is gospel truth about hell comes from a poet who made it all up in order to punish the people he disagreed with politically.
Hi JKeller.
”
I find it interesting that what everyone thinks is gospel truth about hell comes from a poet who made it all up in order to punish the people he disagreed with politically.”
I’m not so sure that this is true. I think almost all Christians know that The Inferno was just well, exactly what you said. Most Christians get their understanding of hell from the New Testament, specifically Jesus. God love you.
Dan, my rankings were the same as yours. I guess I will be joining you in the 7th circle of Kucinich hell, but honestly my dream ticket remains Gore/Obama. Then in the cabinet, Hillary for Secretary of State, Kucinich for Health and Human Services, John Edwards for Attorney General, perhaps Bill Richardson for the Interior, and for the spirit of bipartisanship, how about Fred Thompson for Sec Def…he is really good at military parts in movies.
I tied between four nominees: McCain, Thompson, Huckabee, and Hunter.
My supervilian is Mystique followed by catwoman.
My level of hell is purgatory, what can I say i’m boring.
Ah, I didn’t see the damnation quiz before. You can visit me in Limbo!
Gay men in San Fransico dressed up as nuns receive communion from Bishop, mocking Catholic Church. Bill Oreilly lets Sanfransico have it..

All of the Democrats were at the top of my list, and the disagreements tended to be consistent with them. All of the Repubs were on the bottom, of course.
The very first republican on my list was Ron Paul!
I am surprised that Obama and Clinton aren’t opposed to the death penalty, though. I thought they were.
I got Dodd and Kucinich as 1 and 2 though, very surprising to me! I was like, HUH?
The Gay men call themselves The “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence”, whose motto is “go and sin some more” and describes itself as a “leading-edge order of queer nuns,” planned to hold regular bingo games at Most Holy Redeemer Parish until Catholic activists reported the plans to the press. A local homosexual newspaper, the San Francisco Bay Times, reported that the events at the parish included sexually explicit activities. Prizes included porn DVDs and “sex toys” the paper said.
http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2007/oct/07101004.html
Oh yeah my last 3 were:
Gilmore, Tancredo, Thompson.
I take that back, Brownback was the first Repub on my list, actually before biden and Richardson. Funny! I didn’t even notice that until I really looked at them.
btw: Apocalypse, Poison Ivy, and Dr. Doom; Purgatory
PIP,
do you beleive abortion should be legal?
No. And the priority was the highest.
On the democrats it was in the “disagree” list
My top two were Kucinich and Giuliani. Not sure what that means. Obama, the guy I like most, was way down the list. Now what am I going to do? (Tancredo was dead last, where he belongs)
My top 3 were Ron Paul,Brownback, and McCain. Giuliani was the last on my list. Edwards and Obama were also in my bottom 3.
Of course, this is all based on their stated positions, who knows what each would do if actually elected. The survey does not take into account our feelings about the canidates honesty or integrity.
Yeah. I’m going to register to vote in South Carolina anyways.
“Yeah. I’m going to register to vote in South Carolina anyways.”
So you can vote for Stephen Colbert? I understand that is the only state he is running in.
Why, yes Ray. I was quite excited when he announced it last night :)
PIP,
you’re not old enough to vote, are you?
This will be the first election I can vote in, though sadly I can’t vote until the national election, no primaries for me.
Hopefully I’ll be able to cast my first vote for Obama, but the way polls are going, that may not happen :(
I gotta register here in MA, should be fun. The school actually sets up an area to register in the cafeteria when elections are coming up.
“The school actually sets up an area to register in the cafeteria when elections are coming up.”
thats bad news…
Encouraging people to vote is a bad thing?
What, you think I’m 15?
This is my first election too, and I’m going to register in MO. At least there is a real chance to go either way. It is a good motivation. I haven’t registered yet because a) I don’t want to register in Oklahoma and b) Oklahoma is hopeless.
@PiP: Oooooh! Stephen Colbert is running? What office is he running for!?
In other news I’m going to either the 6th Level of Hell (to party with the Heretics) or the 1st Level of Hell, depends on how cynical I am.
Joe Biden was my number one candidate. Fred Thompson was last.
Meh. I actually hate all the candidates. I’ll probably end up writing in Stewart/Colbert for my ballot. :-p
PIP, just kidding….
Erin:”Encouraging people to vote is a bad thing?”
Yes Erin, I don’t want younger, ill informed voters to vote. Most of them get their news from the cynical liberals John Stewart/Steve Colbert. This is not a good thing, I want these voters to stay home.
Jasper, isn’t that kind of like how Ann Coulter doesn’t want women to vote? :-p
I think we need more cynics voting, maybe that is what we need, instead of starry-eyed idiot Democrats and moronic, bible-thumping Republicans. Instead get some people who’s heads are not firmly wedged up their bums to try and work together to accomplish things that are important and need to be done instead of pissing and moaning about the war in Iraq (which I don’t support leaving, by the way, I think leaving right now be it abruptly or slowly would be more damaging).
So, jasper, you want the people who have different opinions from you to stay home. Awesome. That’s a real democratic system.
Actually, college students today are some of the most informed voters the country has seen in a long time because of the recent spike in political interests. I know college liberals and college conservative, Democrats and Republicans. I don’t want uninformed people voting either- but you consider uninformed to be anyone who disagrees with you.
PIP, just kidding….

I serioulsy doubt if you are much older than a first time voter. Aren’t you glad that you aren’t old enough to remember men being drafted while old enough to drink alcohol but not old enough to vote?
“So, jasper, you want the people who have different opinions from you to stay home.”
Yes, stay home. ….I don’t want any “rock the vote” campaigns by P-diddy…if you know what I mean.
Sally,
when are you moving out of the country? any time soon?
“moronic, bible-thumping Republicans”
oh, you mean the good Americans…
Yes, stay home. ….I don’t want any “rock the vote” campaigns by P-diddy…if you know what I mean.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
YEAH! Jasper prefers the good Christian “family values” Republican voters – you know, Mark Foley, David Vitter, Ted Haggard…
(Meth-snorting gay prostitutes are a very significant Republican demographic!)
I took the superhero quiz–I got Mystique!… whoever that is…
Annnnnd… on the layers of hell one, I got in Puragtory, hands down. Yeeah!
Actually Daily Show and Colbert watchers are usually very informed voters. They once took a poll and those that said they watched Daily Show did better than most talk shows.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/28/comedy.politics/
But you are right jasper, I hate those people who think. They have no room in politics!
“There’s an old saying, “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Which means a LOT of knowledge must be a REALLY dangerous thing. And it is… Let me ask you this: why were you happier when you were a kid? Because you didn’t KNOW anything. The more you know, the sadder you get.”
Ignorance is bliss, eh jasper? Don’t question anything. Why fight it, okay?
That isn’t bad news, its good news. Poll response numbers are exceedingly low. People should be voting, and this makes the process easier for first time voters.
PIP,
No, it’s not knowledge your getting, it’s Bush Derangement syndrome. Many leading Democrats in congress are treasonous, awful people. Going on National TV and sometimes overseas TV and saying our President is a liar, how disgraceful.
I took the Dante’s Inferno quiz before….I was in the first level of hell, I believe…where the “righteous non-believers” go. Woo hoo!!! ONE STEP FROM PURGATORY!!
Hold on, about to take super villain quiz. :)
You are right!! Poor government! I can’t believe people would actually criticize what they are doing and what they are saying! We have no right to question them or their motives. I mean somehow they got into office, they must be good people! We are too hard on them, right jasper?
It’s not about being too hard PIP, it’s just that theres no sense of decency in the Democrat party. …Al Gore’s award was phony, it was just to slap Pres. Bush in the face, he got the Nobel prize over an old woman who saved 2,000 jews from the gas-chambers….Jimmy Carter, going around the world saying that we torture people, In a time of war.
jasper,
In a time of war? We dare speak out about injustice in a time of war? OH NO!
The indecency!
You can speak out, but don’t go around bad mouthing your country overseas.
The beautiful thing about this country, Jasper, is freedom of speech. We are allowed to hold our own opinions and speak them freely. If we want to badmouth our country, we are free to do so without fear of retribution. Do you think there should be retribution, Jasper? Do you oppose freedom of speech?
There are plenty of well-informed patriots who criticize the government, and there are plenty of brainless ignoramuses who criticize the government. Guess which group I take seriously.
Leah.
Be careful, from what the wife has told me the “Patriot Act” trumps freedom of Speech. You say too many bad things and you’re a “person of interest” and disappear.
I know, I just hate it when you tell everyone some of the bad stuff you’ve seen others do. It’s just common decency to keep that secret inside and never ever let it out.
Jonathan: In some instances, yes, it does.
But oh my GOODNESS, don’t even get me started on that so-called Patriot Act! What an insult to the name of patriotism. Shameless spying and rights-restricting is what it is.
And before you ask me to leave the country, Jasper, as you did Sally, I am leaving.
Leah,
Come to Germany, they LIKE people who speak against the government here. They believe its the best way to stop another Hitler.
Guess the US doesnt really understand that.
John L,
Thank you. When people don’t make that distinction between a
legitimate criticism of government and policy and a mindless government-hatred, I get a little scared.
Yes, Jonathan, and I’m one of those secret government brown shirts. I report directly to Cheney. Watch out – you make me mad, and I’ll use the evil Patriot Act to get you, just like in that Will Smith movie, Enemy of the State!
/stupid nutroots crap
The ultimate argument against the claim that freedom of speech is dead in America: Michael Moore is walking around a free man.
JL; I;m not in your country, nor will i be anytime in the forseeable future, so im not worried.
and Michael Moore is an idiot. anyone with half a brain watches his movies and realizes he shoots himself in the foot by only showing one side. Any decent essay writer can tell you that you must prove your point AND address the other side.
Michael Moore is an excellent journalist–he goes to any lengths to convince people that what he says is correct. Unfortunately, I cannot hold him in any regard because he does little to help and much to harm. I cannot and will not condone such negativity.
Similarly… Ann Coulter. SUCH a hate-filled woman. I can literally (yes, I mean literally) feel the negativity coming from her. Her soul (because I do not believe in evil souls) must weep for her blackened exterior.
How about France, Jonathan? There, “faire la gr
Leah;
I like france, but could never live there.
and i agree michael more COULD be a ggood journalist. but he is too biased and involved in his subject matter. he never shows anything from the other side, which makes an already apparent bias even worse and intolerable.
Anne Coulter is a C$#TED C$#T
You can’t compare ann coulter to michael moore. He may be super partisan and really polarizing and probably not the best person to represent the democratic party.
But I have never seen him be as hateful as Coulter or Limbaugh. Never.
Jonathan: You are right. When I said that Michael Moore is an excellent journalist, what I meant to convey was that he is very good at what he does. He uses low down tricks and propaganda to do it, but he succeeds marvelously.
PIP: You are also right. I don’t believe that Michael Moore is nearly as hateful as Coulter and Limbaugh (especially Coulter–that woman frightens me!). I was struggling for an example of both sides having their bad eggs, but I couldn’t find a better one. The difference that while Moore tried to harm the Republicans’ reputation, he doesn’t have hatred in his heart–he has trickery and he is obviously manipulative. But hateful? No.
Leah;
i think Coulter should be killed. that woman is so evil satan wouldnt get is dick wet in her.
haha jonathan thanks for the imagery.
But yeah seriously I really really wonder what is the matter with her. Maybe she just needs a big peice of chocolate cake. It would at least be easier to look at her that way. Or a cheeseburger. Protein does wonderful things when you feel bad.
Or maybe she just needs a little love? Somebody get her a puppy.
She needs to laid. i mean, if she wasnt always so evil shes not bad looking. My guess…. she wasnt the “cool” girl in school.
I’m pretty sure if Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter made a baby, the world would end from pure stupidity.
No, she needs to gain about 30 pounds. Right now even to look at her is kind of gross.
http://www.insidesocal.com/outinhollywood/aaaaaaaaaaaacoulter.jpg
She needs about 30 cheeseburgers quick.
No way, man. If you want love, get a kitten. Mine is hogging my lap right now, looking very jealous that they keyboard is getting more attention than he is.
It’s decided: Ann Coulter needs a kitten.
http://www.cagle.com/news/AnnCoulter/images/sack.jpg
tee hee hee
I never knew how small she was!
She doesn’t look like a hateful woman… but you know what they say about appearances and how they can be deceiving and all that.
Limbaugh/Coulter ’08!
It is interesting; if Ann Coulter is just sooo hateful, why does the media feel obligated to always take her out of context and magnify the alleged outrageousness of her remarks? If they’re really so bad, why the subterfuge? Shouldn’t the remarks speak for themselves?
BTW, Jonathan, I can just tell Cheney to invade Ireland/whatever, right? I mean, neocon imperialists and all that jazz. Be afraid! You cannot escape the hand of Darth Cheney! Chimpy McHitlerburton will not be denied! And other moonbat stupidity, too!
I think you guys will enjoy this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F49e64yq8lI
I’m eternally amused that Barack “the babykiller” Obama is distantly related to Dick “I shot my friend in the face because I thought he was a quail” Cheney.
*snort*
John, if you can honestly not see Ann Coulter’s hatred, you need to open your eyes. Just because she’s a right-winged pro-lifer doesn’t mean that she’s always right (no pun intended) or that you have to support her. My eyes are open wide enough to see Michael Moore’s obvious flaws, aren’t they? Open yours!
Have a good weekend, everyone! I’ll be up north at my dad’s wedding!
Well, Leah, let’s take a look at some of Ann Coulter’s “hate”, shall we?
-“Ann Coulter attacked the 9/11 widows!!” In reality she criticized the behavior of the “Jersey Girls”, four 9/11 widows who went around on TV pushing a partisan agenda. Like many of us, she was frustrated that those four partisan 9/11 widows were all over the media while the other thousands of 9/11 widows were ignored.
-“Ann Coulter said we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity!” Yeah, in her first column after 9/11. Plenty of folks wrote stuff like that after 9/11; why aren’t the others being attacked? Also, as Coulter has explained, this is no different than what we did in Korea. The objection is in the notion that Coulter was advocating some kind of forced conversion to Christianity, which she was not.
-“Ann Coulter attacked war hero Max Cleland!” So now we can’t criticize a leftist’s policies if he happens to be a war hero? Too bad it doesn’t seem to work both ways! Former President George HW Bush was a war hero, and so was presidential candidate Bob Dole, yet both of them faced tons of criticism. If John McCain is the ’08 Republican nominee, will all liberals and Democrats refrain from attacking him since he’s a war hero? Somehow, I think not.
-“Ann Coulter says Jews need to be perfected!” How DARE she quote St. Paul?!
-“Ann Coulter said that John Edwards should be killed by terrorists!!” She said absolutely nothing of the sort. She was making a point about Bill Maher’s statement that we’d be better off if VP Cheney had been killed by terrorists. She was criticizing the non-response of the media to Maher’s outrageous remarks, not using the same language against Edwards. It was obvious to anyone with the slightest bit of brains and honesty.
-“Ann Coulter said someone should kill a Supreme Court Justice!” Actually she did say this! Congratulations, this is something that she really said!! Although she also said it was a joke.
So if you can give me a real reason why Coulter is so loathsome, and not some media manufactured non-controversy, be my guest! Please be sure that when Coulter made this “outrageous” comment, it wasn’t made sarcastically, and go ahead and check the full context on it, too, if you would. (Yeah, right)
“”Ann Coulter attacked war hero Max Cleland!” So now we can’t criticize a leftist’s policies if he happens to be a war hero? Too bad it doesn’t seem to work both ways! Former President George HW Bush was a war hero, and so was presidential candidate Bob Dole, yet both of them faced tons of criticism. If John McCain is the ’08 Republican nominee, will all liberals and Democrats refrain from attacking him since he’s a war hero? Somehow, I think not.”
Huh? You guys attack leftist heros and then we point out the flaws in your game you throw that back in our face? There was an uproar about General Petraeus, when some internet organization put an AD in the paper about how he was basically a mouthpeice for the white house. So much so that the congress just HAD to discuss it. Why don’t we all get off our high horses and quit focusing on attacks on the whole war thing, and instead criticize what the person is actually doing.
I like how McCain is anti-torture, for example. If for some totally morally corrupt reason I supported torture, I would say, “he is anti-torture, I hate that” and that would be criticism. Saying “Oh he is just another phony soldier…” would be inappropriate.
So to both Republican and Democrats that are guilty: stop it.
I do notice that right wing pundits tend to discredit any soldier that speaks out against the war, but if a soldier speaks out for the war, they are SO HEROIC and if you disagree with the war YOU HATE THE TROOPS. Give me a break!
“Although she also said it was a joke.”
she says that about a lot of things. It’s weird. It’s like me saying “I think black people are stupid. Just kidding!” and expecting people to be like, “HAHA you are HILARIOUS.”
I love Ann Coulter and Rush limbaugh. True patriots. Both are very smart as well.
I love Ann Coulter and Rush limbaugh. True patriots. Both are very smart as well.
Why am I not surprised that a bitchy transexual and a draft-dodging drug addict with erectile dysfunction are your role models?
Laura, thats not very tolerant of you. I’m for diversity of opinion. I can see by the comments above, many of you people are not very tolerant at all? isn’t this your motto?
btw: You are wrong about Ann and Rush on all accounts….plus, they’re both very sucessful unlike your heros (Air america, Herr Olbermann, MSLSD, etc) who have lousy ratings….
yeah, let’s just people by their ratings…. I know that’s their world, but give me Obberman, Colbert, and Stewart anyday regardless of the ratings.
I don’t care if you like Coulter and Limbaugh, but your “true patriots” comment makes me gag. You, and them, represent the worst of this country, therefore, the least patriotic.
ah! the first half of my comment disappeared!
Love Stewart and Colbert. Hysterical!
Kinda like Coulter, but she isnt meaning to be, so its not nearly as funny.
Laura,
Why am I not surprised that a bitchy transexual and a draft-dodging drug addict with erectile dysfunction are your role models?
I’m confused…which one is which?
Sally,
when are you moving out of the country? any time soon?
………………..
I hate to dissapoint you Jasper dear. I’ve lived in another country as an AF wife. I rather like it here. Although my daughter and sil are considering taking themselves and their impressive degrees to Australia. Brisbane is rated the #1 city in the world to live in. My son is a British citizen as well as an American. He’s considering a stint in England.
Of course, no matter where any of us live, we still vote. Too bad for you.
