Hannity & Colmes: Stanek, Obama, and babies aborted alive
Last night on Hannity & Colmes Alan Keyes did a real good job explaining Barack Obama’s actions as IL state senator to halt the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Keyes brought my name into the discussion since I witnessed babies being aborted alive and testified before Obama in committee. The relevant portion of the interview comes during the first 2-1/2 minutes:
[HT: Fran from IL Review]

I was watching this interview yesterday, but I missed the part where he mentioned this (and your name). Thank you for posting it. I am so glad that what Barack Obama supports (infants born alive to be left to die) was brought out into the open again.
The more it is brought up, the better.
I’m so happy Obama and Edwards are surging in Iowa.
Hal, are you happy about Obama’s stance on infants born alive? Once they are separated from the womb, and are still living, why deny them care? For what purpose?
Bethany, I agree with you. Consider that somehow, in their pro-abort twisted minds, its okay to deny care to a newborn, then, where should this end? Could they deny care to a 10 year old? How about to Obama himself? How is he any different than a new born child?
I love Alan Keyes. He’s pretty awesome.
Finally, someone has exposed Obama.
Alan Keyes has my vote after watching this video…
Alan Keyes: “My first priority would be to re-establish within the executive branch respect for and protection of the unalienable rights of the unborn children in the womb, to make sure nothing was done by the executive branch of the United States that violated the Constitution of the United States in his regard”
I think Alan Keyes is great. I voted for him in the primary in 2000.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you’re awesome!
I’m voting for him too. He is the most consistent out of all of them anyway. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks whether it bothers other people or not. Gotta love that in a man.
Is that Jill’s Daena?
Hi Daena.
I am very impressed with Keyes.
“Hal, are you happy about Obama’s stance on infants born alive? Once they are separated from the womb, and are still living, why deny them care? For what purpose?”
Happy? I’m really more indifferent.
Why, Hal? Why are you indifferent about born babies being murdered?
Maybe it’s my mood today, but you guys have desensitized me with all your claims of “murder, murder, murder.” Heck, some of you even thing Birth control pills are murder. You’ve cheapened the concept and the word, and it’s hard to get worked up about it.
Senator Obama is a very smart and decent man. I’m sure he had good reasons for his positions. If I cared, I’ll research it and better understand what he did and why. I just don’t.
Yes, Hal, it’s our fault you don’t see murder as being bad. Shame on us for speaking the truth.
@ @
Yes, Hal, of course.
I’m sure if one of your daughters was in a car accident and was severly injured, needing assistance (and you couldn’t help her) you’d be more than fine with medical professionals letting her die, as opposed to treating their injuries and helping her live. Because it’s really not that big of a deal- after all, we’ve cheapened the word “murder” so that you can’t tell the difference anymore. Right?
I’m sure you’d be perfectly indifferent on the whole situation. Especially if Obama was there to support the whole thing.
Bethany, you seem like a very nice person. I’m not in the mood to argue. There is little more to say. I’m glad abortion is legal. I don’t think legal abortion is a bad thing. I’m glad Obama is leading in the polls. I think he’d make a very fine President. I know you guys feel differently.
Happy Holidays.
I’m sorry you’re not having a good day Hal. Hope the next week will be better. Maybe we can continue this discussion later. Have a Merry Christmas.
I think if the infant is profoundly disabled or very premature and death is just a matter of time then the parents should have the right to restrict ‘heroic measures’ – from what I’ve read, this is a grey area in that bill.
What about “comfort care” TexasRed? You know like not leaving the baby in soiled linens..maybe wrapping them in a warm blanket so they can AT LEAST be warm. Or is THAT too heroic?
Daena, 1:40p: Your mother did not raise you to be an online screamer… :)
:: laughing :: Gotta love it.
Merry Christmas, Jill and Daena!
Doug
Thanks, Doug, you, too. And thanks for participating here. Your input, although completely off-base, is welcome… :)
From a pro-choicer, I say thanks to all you Keyes fans. Every time you trot him out again and allow him to represent your point of view, the Democrats pick up a percentage point or two. Please give him more air time!
GOD IS PRO-CHOICE!!!
GOD believes in choice and HE gave it to us, but just so we wouldn’t have trouble understanding which choice to make in such an important area HE told us.
HE said in Deu 30:19 “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you and your children may live”
He said again in 2Ki 18:32b; “CHOOSE LIFE and not death!”
Abortion is also ILLEGAL!
Our U.S. Constitution [you remember that legal document that trumps every other?], clearly says;
We the People of the United States, in Order to … secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our POSTERITY, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
POSTERITY means:
1. future generations
2. all descendants of one person
Posterity includes ALL aborted children.
One day soon America’s Great Holocaust will end and it could happen sooner than you think. The ONE candidate who doesn’t just talk about it but has PLEDGED to write an executive order within 5 minutes of taking the oath should have every one who claims to be pro-life working hard for him.

I, also, love it when the fanatics bring out Keyes to represent them. Perhaps he needs to apologize to Mary Cheney and his own daughter before attempting to come in better then last place in every election he has ever entered. Keyes helps the opposition. Please place him on the republican flag!
Oh – just because you have made a personal determination that an embryo is a completed citizen – does not mean I have made the same determination. Geronimo’s assertions above are laughable at best, and displays flawed logic.
An embryo is not a child, and Deu 30:19 is from your bible, not mine.
YOUR logic does not apply to MY body.
By the way – I have three kids and two grandchildren. And I am glad you are not part of my world and thrilled that your candidate will not ever enter a position of responsibility within our states or federal government.
Right back at ya Dorchester. Merry Christmas. Do you want some cheese to go with that whine?
Posterity includes ALL aborted children.
Uh, nope – “children” is subjective, there, and posterity certainly is not pregnancies which are ended.
Geronimo: GOD believes in choice and HE gave it to us, but just so we wouldn’t have trouble understanding which choice to make in such an important area HE told us.
HE said in Deu 30:19 “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you and your children may live”
I’d say we’ve already done the “be fruitful and multiply” thing a lot. Plenty of people have wanted pregnancies now. Regardless of what you say, we don’t need to try to force women with unwanted pregnancies to continue them.
The biblical God did not want all pregnancies continued – he orders the killing of women who are pregnant, and the embryos and fetuses there were certainly not “guilty.”
If there is an all-powerful god, then witness the large numbers of miscarriages that occur, presumably without conscious input from the parents. An all-powerful god could prevent them, if it was desired that all the pregnancies continue. I’d say there is no reason to think that any all-powerful god wants all pregnancies to continue, now.
Carrie: “Right back at ya Dorchester. Merry Christmas. Do you want some cheese to go with that whine?”
Me – I’m not whining – just stating FACTS. Something that the fanatical portion of the religious right seems to forget. We live in reality. If you choose to separate yourself from that reality, well..that is your choice. But your choices will not infringe upon mine.
Man, my wife gets this Gruyere that is awesome.
Whole Foods.
Smokey Gouda is great too. Sam’s Club or Costco. It’s bigger news then Keyes ever will be – and I AM serious! More people like Smokey Gouda then Keyes. You can go to food sites where various cheeses are rated. Smokey Gouda gets much more then 4% when compared to all the cheeses. Keyes never got that high (3% is the highest in the polls when compared to all his peers).
Perhaps it is dictatorial and socialistic thoughts regarding his interpretation of terminating pregnancies. He has few other mantras to rant about.
Seriously and factually – Smokey Gouda is more popular then Keyes.
Keyes – never won an election in his life. Never will.
Ha! Right on, Dorchester. My wife got some “Boar’s Head” smoked Gruyere today that is to die for.
I’ve no doubt that smoky Gouda is all-conquering.
Don’t think that Keyes really is in anything to “win,” but rather to make what points he can, and to perhaps maintain a level of visibility or “fame,” for whatever reasons.
