The Associated Press reported today:

A vast array of pharmaceuticals – including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones – have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows….
In the course of a five-month inquiry, the AP discovered that drugs have been detected in the drinking water supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas – from Southern California to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit to Louisville….

The AP would like have found more but reported only 28 of 62 of those major metropolitan areas even test their water. Of 52 small water plants the AP contacted – at least 1 in each state – 51 reported not testing and 1 refused to respond.
An unnamed “sex hormone” was noted in San Francisco drinking water as well as other unnamed “hormones,” according to the AP, along with “synthetic hormones from birth control pills,” according to the Washington Post….

Can’t find the name of the SF sex hormone. If anyone knows, please comment.
This story and others for quite some time have documented that fish in waterways are affected by human artificial sex hormones:

  • Some fish we eat may carry enough estrogen to cause human breast cancer.
  • “Water sampled downstream of a Nebraska [cattle] feedlot had [anabolic] steroid levels 4 times as high as the water taken upstream. Male fathead minnows living… downstream… had low testosterone levels and small heads,” according to the AP.
  • “Notably, male fish are being feminized, creating egg yolk proteins, a process usually restricted to females,” according to the AP.
  • Now it is confirmed synthetic steroids are coming back at us. What are the implications? According to the WP:

[H]ealth effects of drinking these drug compounds over a long period is largely unstudied. Some scientists said there is probably little human health risk; others fear chronic exposure could alter immune responses or interfere with adolescents’ developing hormone systems.

Why worry about secondhand hormone ingestion and not firsthand? Developing girls all over the country are taking bc pills every day.
Such hypocrisy. Ignore – even refute – the obvious.
small%20penis%202.jpgAnd let’s get excited about the danger of hormones in the drinking water now that male sex drive and organs may be implicated.
But let’s continue to ignore the harm to girls and women for directly ingesting exponentially larger doses of female hormones.
The interesting thing is, we’re downplaying or snubbing the danger of synthetic female hormones on women not due to male chauvanism but rather liberal feminism.
