“Lord abortion”
Here’s a song just posted on YouTube, “Lord Abortion,” by the band Cradle of Filth. Don’t look up the lyrics unless you want to be shocked and repulsed. They’re X-rated. I couldn’t post this if the words were intelligible. (WARNING: Near the end, you can pick up a couple of profanities.)
This could be a parody of the worst of the heavy metal bands. But perhaps the name of the song gave me a different take. The video is demonic. It is horrible. It provides a realistic visual and guttural sense of the depravity of abortion, very disturbing.

Jill, that stunk. The only words I could make out were “You f**king whore.”..Where can you go to read the lyrics? It’s peaked my curiosity.
HisMan definitely has a point when he talks about how demonic abortion is.
I am going to have to pass on the video. I can pretty much imagine how horrid the lyrics are.
Oh wait. Not pass on like pass it around. I meant pass as in NOT GOING TO WATCH IT. Just to clarify. :)
Carla, you aren’t missing a thing. Just a lot of screaming.
Oh my, their mothers must be so proud…
Possessed with levering Hell’s gates wide
Liberating knives to cut Humanity slack
My ambition is to slay anon
A sinner in the hands of a dirty God
Who lets Me prey, a Gilles De Rais
Of light where faith leads truth astray
I slit guts and free the moistest faeces
Corrupt the corpse and seize the choicest pieces
Sick!
WOW, although disgusting it can very well be the anthem for abortion supporters!
I have a hunch that most “pro-choicers” have no idea what abortion is really like.

Carla,
I watched the video and couldn’t make out more than a few words the whole time. What struck me more was the emptiness in the singer’s eyes, even looking past the horrible makeup. I looked at the lyrics afterward and they were so horrific that they didn’t even register on my personal scale of disgust.
Carla I also read the last few entries on your blog today, and am interested in hearing more about your experience at Rachel’s Vineyard retreat. I have been on a private healing journey from my abortion for about two years now, but haven’t gone to any structured counseling. I’m anxious to move on to the next level in my journey to forgiving myself for killing my unborn baby. The last two years, for me, have been mostly about informing myself of the facts, history, science, and politics of abortion. The guilt has been almost unbearable, and some days it’s all I can do to get out of bed, but the only thing that has kept me going is my two living sons and husband who need me.
That is no parody but the real thing. This is a generation that glorifies ugliness and death — another consequences of our living in ‘modern’ times.
PajamaMama,
Where are you in the US. Here in Chicago, they are starting a program that is scripturally based. I heard about it at a conference I recently attended.
There is a book, a journal of some kind, for those who aren’t in the area…
Here is the website of the books author:

This site is also great…we saw her talk in DC at the march….

PajamaMama,
I went to a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat 2 weeks ago. Very intense and emotional and at the same time wonderful, if that makes sense. The only way to healing is through the pain and I can honestly say that it was a gift to go! I think you should consider it and pray about it. I will be praying for you as well!! My heart breaks when you talk of your guilt. Please be gentle with yourself. You are facing it. You are owning it. There is peace for you and forgiveness.
I am so proud of you!!:) Please, get in touch with me through my blog if you would like to talk more.

****
Too bad about the way you feel, but it’s a good thing you have your kids and husband and that they have you. Good luck in feeling better.
I am currently in upstate NY, but originally from Austin, TX.
Thanks Pap,
I view the family that I’ve been given as evidence of the grace, love and forgiveness of God for the failings of His child – Me. I don’t deserve them, but He gave them to me anyway.
Now, I just need to somehow find that same forgiveness from myself…
Pj, I’m so sorry you feel so bad. I had no idea. How long ago was your abortion?
Thanks, heather. My abortion was 19 years ago, when I was 20 years old. I am now 39 and feel like it was yesterday.
Carla, Pajama, etc –
If at the time you both wanted abortions, it was illegal, but you knew where you could get one anyway – from a doctor, and that you could not be punished for having it (only the practitioner could be punished), would you honestly have not done it?
PajamaMama
God loves you and you are very special. I wish you consolation and peace!
I think the Rachel’s Vineyard retreat would be very good for you when you feel you are ready.
My brother has set up a website for the group in Halifax NS. I’m not sure what exactly his involvement is but he’s always been a very compassionate kind of guy!
Your husband and sons are a special blessing from God and PROOF of his goodness and love to you!!
PJMama,
If you believe that God has forgiven you please cling to the hope that you now have in Christ. He hung on the cross for our sins, including abortion. He forgives. Whenever you have those ugly thoughts remember that we were blind but now we see.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans8:1-2
God demonstrates His own love for us in this:While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans5:8
It is only by focusing on His love, mercy and grace to me that I have finally forgiven myself for the abortion.
I wish you well!! :)
Thank you all for your kind words of support. I’ve made great progress in the last two years and am ready to move to the next level of healing, which I suppose is a program like Rachel’s Vineyard.
Amanda,
I have always been a person who basically stuck to societal conventions. Had abortion not been legal at the time of my pregnancy, I would not have done it. I can say that with confidence.
Carla, I want to second your 12:13 post, and add this verse too:
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12
((hugs to Pajama Mama and Carla!!!)
Thanks Bethany. Hugs to you as well. So nice to have you back. :)
Amanda,
I need to first say that I never WANTED an abortion. I was in crisis.
I would not have had one if it were illegal. I am not much of a rule or law breaker.
Carla and Pj mom, you were both victims of the abortion industry. I am so sorry for you both, but you are both forgiven. I pray that the pain will ease for both of you. Always remember, you will both always be a great voice to help other women.
Heather you are such a sweetie!!
I can’t really imagine anyone really wanting an abortion. Although, I did know of 1 woman who insisted on having one. The others simply felt pressured.
Carla, so are you. I sense a warm, loving spirit in you.
And the woman who insisted on her abortion has been in turmoil for 8 years. Her life is so Topsy turvy. She is also a victim, but she doesn’t see it that way.
hugs
feeling the love from you sweet people
I heard that song in a doctor office and in two elevators.
Seriously, it’s just trying for shock value. Heck, I couldn’t make out what they were saying.
Reminds me of GWAR (hilarious lyrics):
Your socks they smell, your feet they stink,
You never take a bath.
Your nose it runs, you bust your buns,
You always finish last.

You so crazy, Doug!
W O R D
Carla, so are you. I sense a warm, loving spirit in you.
To not just be an old argumentative so-and-so, I gotta agree with you, Heather. You’re right – Carla is a peach.
Oh my gosh…
I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.
That band *suuuuuucks*.
Wow.
I mean, I like metal as much as the next girl, but honestly, you can’t take this stuff seriously, it is that bad.
Rae,
It’s even funnier if you go to the youTube comments. There, you can watch all their fans fight about the subtle yet integral differences between the genres of Black Metal, Goth Metal, and Death Metal.
There are also some interesting critiques and kudos for the vocal abilities of the lead “singer”. Apparently gutteral sounds, burp-talking and high-pitched screaming have morphed into an art form.
youTube quote: “He is so f*%&$ng awesome!”
@PajamaMama: I was reading those, it made me laugh even harder to be honest.
Though, as a fan of metal, I much prefer symphonic metal like Nigtwish. This stuff…is literally just vomit on a stick (I wonder if the MN State Fair will have that this year…lol).
This is *good* metal:

Haha, you guys think thats bad?!
You’ve obviously never heard of “Anal C**t”
No – I’m not kidding. Some of their song titles include:
Jack Kevorkian Is Cool
ValuJet
You’ve Got No Friends
You Keep A Diary
You Own A Store
You Got Date Raped
Recycling Is GAY
You’re A Cop
You Can’t Shut Up
You’ve Got Cancer
You Are An Interior Decorator
Pottery is Gay
Seriously y’all – if you can’t laugh at it for its utter stupidity, just ignore it. Getting all upset about it is EXXXXACTLY what those idiots want. The more you feed in to it, the more fodder you provide them.
Yeah, but can you dance to them? Give me a beat.
I mean, I like metal as much as the next girl…
Rae, I thought you were total Goth….
Doug
And WHOA, Rae – Nemo – thunderous and melodious straight-ahead rocker! S w e e e e t.
Love it.
Rae, in that vein, have you heard of Lacuna Coil?
Dynamite voice IMO.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixxtnrWb17Y
Also good: “Enjoy the Silence.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDQnpQqJleE
More awesomeness, IMO. “Deftones”
The video looks like they watched some of PIP’s productions.
@Doug: Yup, I used to listen to Lacuna Coil, but I find their music kind of bland, it’s not as epic as Nightwish (when Tarja was the singer, Anette’s okay, but Tarja’s operatic voice was the definition of EPIC) and Within Temptation.
I’m by no means “Goth”, but I can appreciate symphonic or “Gothic” metal. The female vocals tend to be a-friggin’-mazing. :)
stopped 10 seconds into it. thank God for small
favors.
Truthseeker,
LOL!!! That’s about how far I got into it, too!
That “singer” reminded me in a very strange way of Charlie Brown’s teacher from those Peanuts movies!!!

Rae, thanks again for bringing Nightwish to notice. I’ve played that song at least 50 times already. Just let it play and repeat while all else in computerland goes on.
A good melody goes a long way.
Doug
You’re welcome Doug!
They have some other really good songs, however they recently changed lead singers in favor of a more “poppy” voice as opposed to their original more “operatic” voice. I can’t say I like the new singer much, but she isn’t awful…just not Nightwish-y.
I also recommend Within Temptation:

Amanda,
Are you the same Amanda who doesn’t allow dissenting opinions on her own blog?
i beet..hes good in a bead!!!!!
I’ve tried to think it over and I guess this is just a rumor. I hate rumors that ruin private life so advise you not to believe it and leave your comments by yourself.
Lately I have been trying to find any kind of information for my project, but unsuccessfully. Now it seems like I finally found a lot. This is the greatest site among all internet-sources.
