I was listening to some TV show a few weeks ago. I think it was Montel. A young black woman stood up in the audience. She wanted to share her thoughts. She told Montel that she was NOT for Obama, and she also thought that he would be assassinated if he were to get into office. I’ve spoken to others who think the same thing.
Actually, most of the black people I’ve spoken to want Hillary.
Jill….LOL! thats hillarious.
but sad too, this guy could be our next president.
Has anyone ever heard about what Obama intends to do concerning the war? I have never heard him mention this topic. In every add I see him in, he’s promising more jobs. I have also never heard him mention his views on abortion.
This cartoon is off-base. Not because Obama wouldn’tsupport the clubbing of newborn babies like baby seals- but because
a. He’d never give a straight answer like, “Sure did,” “You bethca,” or “Of course.”
and
b. If you mention baby seals, he’d find someone way to explain how he supported legislation to protect baby seals. He’s very nice to defenseless creatures just as long as they aren’t human beings.
Yeah, but Obama would definitely be opposed to clubbing seals.
Heather, it’s my understanding that Obama just wants to “bring our troops home” immediately regardless of the consequences, though he has also said that it would be bad if al Qaeda were to conquer Iraq, which would be very likely to happen if we just arbitrarily pulled our troops out immediately as Obama seems to want to do.
Actually, here’s a quote from Obama’s website:
“Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama will make it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda.”
Yeah, that… really doesn’t make any sense. John McCain was right to point out to Obama that al Qaeda is already in Iraq. Obama’s retort that al Qaeda was not in Iraq until we went to war really doesn’t make any sense either, because it’s not relevant to our current situation. It’s nothing but whining. The reality is that al Qaeda is in Iraq, whether you like it or not, Obama, and they must be dealt with.
Also, Obama doesn’t mention abortion much, but you can find his views on it up on his website. Here’s what Obama said while many of us here were Marching for Life in DC:
http://www.barackobama.com/2008/01/22/obama_statement_on_35th_annive.php
As you can see, Obama remains extremely pro-abortion.
Yeah, you’re right about that, Jacqueline. Obama’s response to those questions would be something about “hope” and “change”. Plus he would accuse the guy asking the questions of being “divisive” or of behaving like “Karl Rove”.
Speaking of Obama, I think he should hear the song “I am a Child” by Kimberly Wilson. Kimberly Wilson is a post-abortive woman who had three abortions before she finally realized what she was doing and repented. Then she wrote this song:
She’s not quite sure what she’s gonna do
As she picks up the phone book and flips through the A’s
The time’s not right for a pregnancy
There are classes and parties and places to see
She wants her life to be orderly
A degree, then a job
A husband, two cars
A trip to Europe, a starter home
With a nursery they paint
For the child they had carefully planned
She’s not certain she’s right
There’s a voice deep inside
And it speaks to her very soul
The appointment is set
For this tiny one’s death
And she places her hands
On the place he lives near her heart
This baby boy
I am a spirit
Created by God
I have a body
No matter how small
I have an angel
To guard my life
I am a person
I am a child
The time wasn’t right for a pregnancy
When an angel appeared to a young Jewish girl
The angel hovers beside her
And he whispers the words
Of the author of life Jesus Christ
She’s not certain she’s right
There’s a voice deep inside
And it speaks to her very soul
The appointment is set
For this tiny one’s death
And she places her hands
On the place he lives near her heart
This baby boy
I am a spirit
Created by God
I have a body
No matter how small
I have an angel
To guard my life
I am a person
I am a child
She knows she’s not ready for motherhood
But she knows there are others who sure want the job
Of rocking and nursing and loving
And kissing and holding
A small baby boy
So she picks up the phone book to look again
And she flips through the A’s
As she silently prays
For a tender mother and father
Who live in a house
With a nursery they paint for her child
Though she’s scared
And her heart’s full of pain
And the tears fall like rain
For the choice she’s made
The appointment is cancelled
The angels rejoice
For a troubled young woman
Has made the choice for life
The life of her child
I am a spirit
Created by God
I have a body
No matter how small
I have an angel
To guard my life
I am a person
I am a child
I think it’s ridiculous to think he’d be assassinated for being black. What year is this?
However, if he were Hillary’s vice president, Chris Rock would shoot Hillary and tell her mama about it.
“Now as you know, there’s been alot of talk about a black vice president. And I just wanna tell the world that it’ll never happen. As long as you live you will never see a black vice president, you know why? Because some black guy would just kill the president. I’d do it. If Colin Powell was vice president, I’d kill the president and tell his mother about it. What would happen to me? What would they do? Put me in jail with a bunch of black guys that would treat me like a king for the rest of my life? I would be the biggest star in jail, alright, people would be coming up to me and I’d be signing autographs: “97-KY, here you go.” Guys would be going: “You’re the brother that shot Bush. And you told his mother about it huh? I hope my children turn out to be just like you, Man, you know I was getting ready to rape you until I realized who you were. And even if they had a death penalty, what would happen? I’d just be pardoned by the black president. So you see, Dennis, it would not be in George Bush’s best intrests to place Colin Powell on the ticket.”
From SNL.
Great lyrics John.
I can’t remember where I got this from (maybe even from Jill but I posted this on my blog)
Here’s the link to youtube

As abortion has become a part of our “culture” we now see more discussion in the performing arts and in literature.
Sorry, I forgot to mention
the link is to Nick Cannon’s “Can I Live”
heather, feel free to go to his website to find out his position on the war. He has spoken about it at rallies and debates. I have heard very little from him on abortion (he didn’t mention it at all at his rallies here) and I think it is because he doesn’t plan to do much with it.
Folks,
Found this link to Obama’s position on abortion/ PP:
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11918
**What I don’t understand is how can he support PP with it’s very racial roots targetting the “negro” population? Does he even know the history of PP??
WOW! A girl goes out for an eyebrow wax, and look at how many helpful people have posted. Thanks for all of the links everyone. I’m going to watch them. Also, if I’m not mistaken, I believe that Obama is bi-racial.
Kill me now…
Sen. Obama’s positions v. Right to life may arise as a key issue for 11/08. While many Americans support some access to abortion, very few support unfettered access through the 3 trimester, as he does. He also is against any consequences to doctors, even those that violate State law. This could cost him some swing votes if we and the GOP properly frame the debate and presents facts. For example, how about profiling the percentages of abortions by race to highlight America’s new racial genocide. It also appears that the newly enfranchised younger voters he relies on, do not have the rigidity in their pro-abort positions as do the boomers that Sen Clinton relies on. It may be also useful to frame his HOPE mantra as applicable not to all those “endowed by their Creator” as the Declaration states. Per Sen. Obama, only those who have passed the cervix unscathed may be endowed with the “rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

Why would I do that?
“Has anyone ever heard about what Obama intends to do concerning the war? I have never heard him mention this topic.”
Hard to believe this, if you’ve listened to him much at all. He wants more UN/ally troupes to help out in Iraq, and bring our forces home as soon as possible.
He wants to get out much more thoughtfully and carefully than we went in.
He wants to stop not only the war, but the mindset which made it possible.
He wants a bigger army, by the way. He’s the anti-Rumsfield.
Hard to believe this, if you’ve listened to him much at all.———- That’s just it. I don’t listen to him much.

C’mon Hal-
There have only been 20 Democratic debates, and this campaign has only been the lead news story and dominated the 24-hour news networks for the past five months. You really have to dig hard to find his position on the issues.
Did you hear the rumor that he’s bi-racial? It’s a very well-kept secret…
This Harvard graduate is a numb skull.
Laura, I thought you were voting for Hillary the he-she.
These 2 prove that education for some is pointless.
Hi Heather. Welcome back.
Thanks Carrie. I e-mailed you. Did you get it?
FF, step it up. You are beginning to bore me.
Heather: I didn’t get your email.
bi-racial you say? Half man, half devil?
I had no idea.
It reminds me of 1984, the re-election of Reagan. We all knew it was coming, and we were so very depressed and angry. Finally, one of my friends threw a party themed “we no longer have hope” and we just let it go and accepted our fate. It’s so nice to finally have some hope back.
Hal: Funny, that’s how I feel about the upcoming election. I tend to view all politicans with a cynical eye anyways. I think you are setting yourself up for a disappointment.
Carrie, I’ll resend.
“This Harvard graduate is a numb skull….These 2 prove that education for some is pointless.”
—————————————-
I totally agree, Heather….I recently watched Obama on the Biography Channel (or was it A&E?) and he not just graduated from Harvard Law but graduated Magna Cum Laude…and he still got the Life issue wrong!
hal, there is no guarantee that he will win. I’ve talked to a heck of a lot of people who will not be voting for him. Don’t count your chickens yet.
Just call me Debbie Downer.
RSD, thanks for seeing it my way.
The black population has already given over 4 billion dollars to the abortion industry.
I was referring to the SNL character Debbie Downer for those of you who are not familiar with SNL.
Carrie, lol!
“. . .he not just graduated from Harvard Law but graduated Magna Cum Laude…and he still got the Life issue wrong!”
or you did. Has that thought even occurred to you that you might be wrong?
No.
hal, sometimes I wonder about you. I think you might be a troll. Funny how you popped up yesterday before I could type Ha. Couldn’t even get to the l, and there you were. Anyway, there is nothing RIGHT about murdering an unborn child in the womb.
You could do a lot with 4 billion dollars. It could be put to much better use than to hand it to a kill mill.
Hal….killing of the innocents has never been right.
Bobby,
I answered the post on the archived thread.
Why is Obama being bi-racial a well-kept secret? Is he not black enough then or something? I’m confused.
And Jacqueline, it’s not stupid at all to think that there will be assassination attempts if Obama is president because he’s black. Racism is pretty predominant STILL. Especially that kind of extreme racism, although I think any kind of racism is extreme, but that’s just me. One of my English teachers in college got her PhD in something having to do with white supremacy studies.
The cartoon is right on target as far as what’s probably in Obama’s heart… but the comments about it being way too direct an answer are right on also. I can just hear him saying “I would hope for change, and change to hope, and be hoping that changing would bring more hope”.
What do you guys think about this,
“Don
I don’t know about that article, Jess. The writer seems angry and very pro abortion. Click on the abortion link. She is thanking God for 35 years of legalized abortion, yet still complaining about teen pregnancy. Shouldn’t abortion legalization have corrected this problem?
Jess, I can’t find the author, and she is definitely pro choice. She rambles off the usual “A fetus isn’t a person.” – Nonsense.
Jess, for someone so “happily child free”, she doesn’t seem like it to me.
Elizabeth, you are correct about racism. I think we all see that it is still here, and a lot of people will say that they just don’t want a black president. A lot of people also say that they don’t want a woman.
If either one of them were Pro life, they might get my vote. The fact that Obama and Hillary are so pro choice just ruins it for me.
Why is Obama being bi-racial a well-kept secret? Is he not black enough then or something? I’m confused.

It’s never been a secret. He’s always discussed it and featured pictures of himself with his mom in his autobiography – as well as his political campaigns.
The fact that someone is just figuring out that little fact suggests that they live in an airtight, soundproof box. Tupperware perhaps?
FF,
Hey! Have you jumped on the Obama-wagon yet, or are you still entrenched in Hillary?

Still entrenched.
Maybe THAT’S the definition of faith! (Where’s my prize?)
FF,
I think it was “hope”.
Another reminder of why we’re forced to back McCain over Obama. Our only shot to save babies from 35 more years.

FF, lol!
Excellent Heather!
LOL him being biracial was NEVER a secret. It was one of the first things I knew about him.
“Racism is pretty predominant STILL.”
I disagree with that. Some blacks will use it as an excuse until the cows come home.
Whenever some body tries to challenge Obama, he blames it on fear. He always has some excuse. I hope McCain will challenge Obama’s radical stnce on abortion.
and just when were making progress in Iraq, Obama is going to pull the troops out.
“I disagree with that. Some blacks will use it as an excuse until the cows come home.”
True, some blacks do use that “excuse” for no reason (Al Sharpton, I am looking at you!), however it’s stupid to think racism is just “an excuse” and that it’s not around anymore.
Both Hillary and Obama are co-sponsors of the Freedom of Choice Act.
John McCain is a batty old man.
“however it’s stupid to think racism is just “an excuse” and that it’s not around anymore.”
who said it wasn’t around anymore? Elizabeth said is was still predominant, and I disagree with that.
we have a big problem with black/hispanic men in this country not supporting their children and acting like imbeciles.
Yeeeeeeeeah…and I’m pretty sure that’s not what Elizabeth was saying. I’m not sure what exactly that has to do with racism as opposed to immaturity and lack of responsibility.
“Racism is pretty predominant STILL.”
I disagree with that. Some blacks will use it as an excuse until the cows come home.
————–
What about racism towards ethnicities other then African? Racism isn’t just a black and white issue. Racism is still very much alive in this country.
Jess,
apparently, racism towards middle easterners and hispanics doesn’t count.
It’s never been a secret. He’s always discussed it and featured pictures of himself with his mom in his autobiography – as well as his political campaigns.
The fact that someone is just figuring out that little fact suggests that they live in an airtight, soundproof box. Tupperware perhaps?
YOU’RE the one who said it was a well-kept secret you moron. I knew he had a white mother the whole freaking time. I mean it’s pretty obvious JUST by looking at him that he isn’t 100% AA.
Did you hear the rumor that he’s bi-racial? It’s a very well-kept secret…
FF is the one who said that…not me..I was just asking why she thinks that…I’ve known he was bi-racial since I have known about him, which was a looong time ago.
Maybe she was being sarcastic, I don’t know.
We are making progress in Iraq? Have you been watching the news at all lately? If anything the whole situation is at a stalemate.
If the republican party had a black woman as a candidate instead of old white men then maybe more people would listen and take them seriously.
The whole world laughs at you. Enjoy.
I disagree with that. Some blacks will use it as an excuse until the cows come home.
Sorry, Jasper but I blatantly disagree with that. I mean there ARE some people who do use racism as an excuse like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, but to deny that there is massive racism in this country is to just be ignorant of it.
Don’t believe me? Check out Hal Turner.

IT WAS SARCASM!
It was aimed at the morom who said “if I’m not mistaken, I believe that Obama is bi-racial” like it was a news flash. It was as though his racial identity and his position on the issues hadn’t been covered non-stop by the media for the last 5 months.
Try it again:
“C’mon Hal-

Who said that pip? Nobody..but we were talking about Obama who is half black/half-white.
Or go here:

Let me find some more for you Jasper…
That was sarcasm too, Elizabeth ;)
It was said in response to Jess’ point that racism doesn’t always have to be against AAs. Racism still exists in our society, and it is directed towards many people, not just blacks.
you moron
Isn’t that against the rules?

Grr…apparently my sarcasm detector is broken tonight.
Isn’t that against the rules?
JLM,
You should check out some of the crap she’s said to me…so frankly, I don’t really feel bad that I called her a moron.
“YOU’RE the one who said it was a well-kept secret you moron.”
Elizabeth, are you ok???
Aryanwear Elizabeth?
Your style sucks.
Here’s my favorite web-clothing store: modcloth.com
Elizabeth, are you ok???
yeah, I just am a tad tired of Laura saying things like this….
“The fact that someone is just figuring out that little fact suggests that they live in an airtight, soundproof box. Tupperware perhaps?”
The only thing that I was just figuring out was the sarcasm…but she implies that I am stupid on every occasion she can. So I got a little snippy this time.
Lol, Jess, I have never actually bought anything there. I was just showing Jasper that racism is quite prevalent still by posting websites like that.
Jess,
ModCloth.com…some of that stuff is REALLY cute!

This is also a good one. My birthday is coming up in June. I’m a size small, and I like green, purple and orange.
“Lol, Jess, I have never actually bought anything there. I was just showing Jasper that racism is quite prevalent still by posting websites like that.”
Curious though, how you just happened to stumble across that site hmm?
Elizabeth,
I was just kidding. I must have missed something earlier, but someone called someone a scum, and was called out on it & it was removed. I was just trying to be funny…it didn’t work. I’m sorry!
BTW, I don’t think you’re stupid. I think you indimidate FF & that’s where her comments to come from!
:)
Well Jess, when Jasper said that he disagreed with me I decided to google “White Supremacy” and “White Power” just to find some websites..and that one was up there.
Oh JLM, I understand.
My sarcasm detector MUST really be broken tonight..or I’m just tired, who know’s.
No, Elizabeth, my comments were aimed at the American voter who made these comments on consecutive days:
If Obama gets in, this country is doomed.

Lol, that’s cute : )
These clothes are basically Goth clothing… Most of it’s unflatteringly boyish. I don’t judge people by the color of their skin, I judge them by their clothes. Clothes are a reflection of a persons creativity and individual personality.
I judge them by their clothes. Clothes are a reflection of a persons creativity and individual personality.
This is true, I didn’t really look too hardly at the clothes they had there…it just came up when I googled “White Supremacy” and I was like “They make clothing for white supremacists like they should be broadcasting that?” lol..it just struck me as odd.
Oh but Jess, don’t judge me by MY clothes, judge me by my daughter’s clothes. I get her the cute clothes lol.
Alright, I dont know if this is still the topic of discussion or not, buuut:
Obama has faced off against an adamantly pro-life contender who emphasized the difference between their stances on abortion, as well as calling obama un-christlike because of the way Obama had voted in terms of abortion.
Obama won.
Seems as if that strategy may not pay off in the end. Abortion isn’t the end all be all issue for most Americans.
Anyways, just stopped in for that. I have to go to sleep, school in the morning.
G’night all, and God bless.
“Oh but Jess, don’t judge me by MY clothes, judge me by my daughter’s clothes. I get her the cute clothes lol.”
You could make some cute clothes for yourself too with a trash bag and some twine.
I’ve set it before and I’ll say it again.
McCain will eat Obama’s lunch.
In the privacy of a voting booth, when it dawns on most voters tnat what they do with their vote could persoanlly affect them, they will choose a more experienced, more seasoned, wiser and nobler person and it ain’t Barack. People still haven’t forgotten 9/11.
McCain 53%, Obama, 44%, Nader 3%

People still haven’t forgotten that the Republican administration was warned about the attack, couldn’t scramble fighter jets for the first two hours of the attack, and then retaliated by invading a country that had nothing to do with the attack – and now we can’t get out.
Excuse me FF but I believe your President was digracing the oval office while Mr. Osama bin Laden was planning the 9/11 attack. Trying to blame 9/11 on Bush is like trying to blame your pregnancy on the Pope.
As far as invading Iraq goes…..they had WMDs that were shipped to Syria before the invasion. Their own Generals have testified to this.
Do you mean to tell me that you think it worth thd risk, with a madman in charge, another Hussein, of having a major conflagration in the Middle East?
If we hadn’t invaded Iraq, tell me in your little Alice in Wonderland world that asks, “why can’t we all just get along”, where in the world we would be right now.
Pathetic………….
John McCain is a batty old man.
But my pregnancy IS the popes fault. Because he said birth-control and condoms are evil! So he is directly to blame for my abortion aswell.

Heather, 6:28,
I agree with you there!
Janet, thank you.
John McCain is a batty old man.
Posted by: SoMG at March 3, 2008 12:27 AM—————— So is Hillary.
Sugar, are you from Pandagon? You should come here. I thought I’d seen you there before. Welcome.
Elizabeth, thank you for the links. I do agree that racism still exists. Look at Micheal Richards and “Dog” the bounty hunter. This is just to name a couple of men in the lime light. I know a white man who dates black women. I hear the comments that white people make about him. They are nothing that I can type out here. I’m sure you can imagine. It really does exist.
all,
I didn’t say some racism didn’t still exist, I just don’t think it is predominant. Picking out a couple wacky websites doesn’t tell the story. let’s stop making excuses.
jasper, I can agree with that.
On the flip side, I don’t like it when some black people play the race card. I have a friend who moved to Las Vegas, and she always used to say “I didn’t get this and that because I’m black.”…. I always felt like yelling BULL SHOOT!
I wasn’t saying that rasicm doesn’t still exist, it does (PP). I think we do a disservice to black people though by consistantly yelling rasicm at every turn. If people are going to discuss race issues, we have to be honest.
jasper, I agree. It’s sad that a lot of black women are targeted to abort, but that doesn’t mean that they HAVE to do it. The woman in my above post had 2 abortions. Her sister had 5. Women of ALL races need to take responsibility for their poor sexual choices. In the end, they only have themselves to blame.
Also, let’s not forget. No matter what anyone says, abortion is not an act of responsibility. It’s the opposite.
Keep bashing him all you would like…he is going to win.
“Hal…..guess you’ll just have to go have another party or perhaps you’ll just leave the country?”
Hisman, we’re a long way from November. McCain might pull it off. If he does, I won’t need to leave the country. McCain is a vast improvement over the last 7 years. He’s no Obama, but we would survive a McCain presidency okay. He’s the best of the Republican field, and I’m happy to see that he rose to the top. Maybe we can have a reasonable and adult campaign season.
Jasper,
I wouldn’t call Hal Turner “wacky.” He’s a pretty predominant figure in the white supremacy movement. Google his name and you will find out lots about him. I had never even heard about him til I saw him on some CNN special and then I googled him and was disgusted. Racism IS predominant…just look at PP Jasper…it’s still around, it’s just gone underground.
Hal-
I have to agree. McCain ius the best option if we have to have a republican in office, but my vote is still going to Obama ;).
However, I DO worry McCain would die in office just because the presidency is so stressful and aging. I’ll worry if his VP is someone who isnt someone of a truly similar political style because I do think McCain could die in office. He doesnt exactly have the beast health record, then again neither did Cheney, lol.
I also think McCain is going to be far more responsible campaign-wise and wont resort to the swiftboating if he can avoid it. I could actually see him (MAYBE) publicly denouncing swiftboating done to benefit his campaign. Not only would it push against negativity, but could also garner him quite a few votes if he wants to try and cut into Obama’s base.
I’ve set it before and I’ll say it again.
McCain will eat Obama’s lunch.

ROFL!!! The first time HisMan said that, I thought it was just a typo.
HisMan…the phrase is “He will eat him FOR lunch.”
Hieronymous-
It’s possible Hisman could just be comparing McCain to a schoolyard bully…
Hehehehe. True. Although then wouldn’t it be “He’ll steal his lunch money?”
jasper, I agree.

I blame permissive parenting. When kids grow up thinking they have the right to do whatever they want, they can become destructive and self destructive.
He wants to stop not only the war, but the mindset which made it possible.

Wow, what a profound idea.
Throughout history it has been demonstrated that changing someone’s mindset is virtually impossible.
That is why there are so many wars.
It is part of human nature.
Obama is going to change that?
Hmmm.
What do you guys think about this,
“Don
Its great to be anti abortion. I am too. But are you willing to fund the programs to help poor young mothers who can’t afford to take good care of their children. Are you willing to fund day care and after school programs to keep kids off the street? Making Obama out to be a monster serves no purpose. Abortion has been legal for 35 years under Republican and Democratic presidents. Its a red herring issue used to take attention away from the fact that this country is on the wrong track and has been for over 7 years. War is immoral just like abortion. Did you people consider that?
