Clinton denies concession
The Clinton camp is denying the Associated Press story that she plans to concede to Obama tonight only on the point he has enough delegates.
Rumors why she’s staying in the race: VP spot, Senate Majority Leader spot, Supreme Court spot, DNCC speaker’s spot, or a shakedown to force Obama to help pay off her $17 million campaign debt.
Meanwhile the following YouTube video from Saturday’s Democrat Rules Committee meeting has gotten over 1 million views. Harriet Christian’s outburst followed its decision to allow disobedient FL and MI only half-votes, a big nail in Hillary’s nomination coffin. The video demonstrates the anger Clinton’s feminist supporters feel about the impending Obama nomination, and what at least one of them plans to do about it:
Will the Obama and Clinton supporters eventually make up and unite if only to get a Democrat in the White House? Maybe so but hope not. I’ve been part of one campaign (no, not my own) where that never happened. Feelings can get very raw in political fights.

The Obamanator supporter “approved term list”:
-typical white person
-punishnment from God
-crazy black pastor
-crazy white priest
-friends of Iran
-cut and run crown
-whitey
Now add:
-angry white female
or perhaps
– typical angry white female
or
-typical female whitey
or
– typical New Yorker, big mouth, angry, white, female, punishment from God
or
– wouldn’t wish that thing on any poor guy, white or black
And to imagine, this is who makes up the support base of the “smartest woman in the world”.
“Hell hath no fury….like an angry white woman Clinton supporter, New Yorker”.
Rush Limbaugh, operation chaos IS the shining achievment of your career. The wolves are ripping and shredding themselves apart, you know, kinda what they say is a choice to do to unborn children in the womb.
I understand that the Detroit Pistons have ONLY conceded that Boston scored more points and won more games in the series, but that they will continue to seek the NBA Championship.
Detroit claims they would match up better against the Lakers than Boston, so they should be declared the winner by the NBA, despite Boston having beat them in the series.
The more I hear about politics, the more I like sports.
Elections tend to bring the mouth-breathers out of the woodwork.
Did anyone else see this clip from the Daily Show?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk25Am6Jo0s
At the end of the segment I realized that I had been watching it with an open mouth. My jaw had LITERALLY dropped.
“…I’ve got news for you. McCain will be the next president!”
AMEN Harriet!
LOL, Anon. As long as the Lakers concede defeat, I’m happy.
Last I checked Obama got 90% of the black vote not just in West Vorginia but nationwide…. hmmm… ignorance or just flat out racism…. or maybe a lot more follow the thinking of Jeremiah wright then Obama would have you believe.
Obama said ” I could no more disown Jeremiah Wright then I could disown the black race.” Then Wright comes out and slams Obama as a “absent” church member who rarely went to church on Sunday. Obama comes back with the excuse that faith is a lot more then going to church on Sunday but doing the Lord’s work on a dily basis and then he disowns Wright. So, according to his words he has disowned the entire black race and some 90% of them still keep voting for him. Look at this video while knowing that as a race the black people NATIONWIDE are voting twice as racist as the white people in West Virginia.
Laura…
oh. my. God.
The fact that people are THAT ignorant is almost too sad to let that bit be funny.
I also love Hillary “embracing” the poor white vote…and then asking them to give her money. Because, you know, she needs it – and they obviously…don’t? *headdesk*
Ms. Harriet just made my day!
My Democrat Friends,
Do you see the shenanigans this, your party, has been engaged in? And we haven’t gotten to election day yet!
The Republican nominees had their moment, we got to vote, and McCain got the presumptive nomination, done deal, have a nice day.
If this is how they’re going to behave before being elected, can you imagine after the election? (This is assuming a democrat wins the presidency).
Unless McCain suddenly discovers there is a base to the conservative movement called “social conversatives” and pretends he’s interested in them, then you’re looking at President Obama and all the commesurate misery that follows.
Andrew, I thought McCain was socially conservative. What issues do the “social conservative” movement wish McCain would address?
Laura,
Them’s some real classy commenters there.
Gotta love West Virginia.
This Harriet Christian, what is she? Just a big mouth or does she reallly have clout?
She probably blasted NARAL’s endorsement of Obama, too.
TS –
John McCain supports stem cell research, and believes that rape/incest victims should be allowed to have abortions and should not need proof of it. He is also vehemently opposed to the Marriage Amendment, and also spoke out against the government involvement in the Terri Shiavo situation. He also believes Global Warming is real, and not just a liberal conspiracy. All of these things get the “social conservative” panties in a twist.
I personally think he’s got a great middle-of-the-road approach to the social issues. If he wasn’t so dang gung-ho about the war, and if I didn’t keep seeing articles about him hob-nobbing with Bush, I’d be voting for him.
TS, you’ve been watching too much of the mainstream media.
He has been ignoring the social conservatives for a very long time now, like decades, and is clearly not interested in getting them on board for his campaign.
Embryonic stem cell research, same-sex marriage, refusal to want to overturn Roe; these are key social conservative issues and he is liberal on all of them.
Andrew – he is not “liberal” on same-sex marriage, he is an actual REPUBLICAN on same-sex marriage – meaning keep big government out of people’s bedrooms and leave it to the states. He has not objected to any STATE gay marriage bans.
Amanda,
1)stem cell research –
I believe life begins at conception. I believe that the God’s Holy Spirit (and a soul) resides in human life at all stages but I know that religious arguments aren’t enough. I just purchased the book “Embryo”, written by George and Christopher Tollefson. The part I read so far talks about “Noah” who was the youngest person rescued from the flood in Katrina. He was a frozen embryo at the time of rescue from the flood and was born on January 16th 2007. You should check it out. It does not use religious arguments so it may be able to break through some biased perceptions people have of when human life begins. Maybe you and John McCain could read it too and we all might end up agreeing. Life is a journey and though John McCain is old, he strikes me as being open to listening and learning.
2)abortion/rape issue:
I believe a woman’s right to “choose” is really not a right to choose abortion, instead it is a right to “choose” wether or not engage in intercourse. In other words, if she is raped she did not consent to intercourse and bodily domain has been violated so she was stripped of her right to “choice”, so regardless of how I feel about the abortion I would want her to have safe and legal access to the morning after pill. But
consentual sex = accepting responsibility to nurture any new life created by said choice regardless of birth control or how said life may make LIFE more difficult for anybody else. So I can understand his position here.
3) Against the Marriage Amendment
a) it is IMPOSSIBLE. Marriage is between a man, a woman, and God. Period. See. It is impossible. What God has given no man (or woman) can take away.
b) those non-sacramentally married couples would say that since marriage has been around and defined as the union of a man and a woman since pre-historic. Changing the definition of marriage would be like changing the definition of war or slavery.
So I do disagree with McCain on this point and I would like to sit down and talk with him about this one.
4) Terri Schiavo
really can’t generalize on this one. I don’t like the State involvement except that I understand why people got involved in this one because her parents and her family were willing to care for her.
5)Global Warming
I agree we need to take this seriously and I consider myself a social conservative.
6)so dang gung-ho about the war
Though has for toppling Saddam Hussein, he was against Bush’s policy in the way the the Irag war was carried out. I happened to agree with McCain that we went into the war half-ass. I also am against war, but I understand we need somebody like McCain who will maintain enough order so that we don’t put the world in jeopardy of nuclear annihaltion by terorists or by a superpower that gets attacked by terrorists. If a terrorist were to detonate a nuclear bomb or a superpower were forced to retaliate with nuclear weapons it would do unspeakably more harm to the world then conventional wars do and I really think McCain understands that and “that” and would try and prevent that with all his means and that is why he seems to you to be so “gung ho” about war.
I confused myself there when I posted about “the video” in my June 3, 2008 1:57 PM post.
The video I was referring to in that post was the you-tube video from Laura’s comments at 12:54 PM Sorry for not being clearer. I was even confused myself when I went back and read it and then looked at the video from Jill’s post

Microwaves will help women in Africa! Brilliant! Yeah…gee… what are this guys credentials? He’s clearly an expert. We should ALL replace silly things like facts and research with Op Eds.
/sarcasm
Amanda, sorry, you got that backwards.
Government does not have the right to interfere and redefine pivotal institutions, especially against the will of the people a la California.
McCain happily went on the Ellen show and yucked it up with her which sent a huge tidal wave through the social conservative community. I know, I get their e-mails and hear their screams.

Andrew, I might yuck it up with a lesbian but I would not change the definition of marriage. But how could any conservative NOT vote for McCain. Can’t they see how much worse those same social issues would be if a Democrat got elected. It would be like “spiting your nose to save your face”….. i think that’s how the saying goes?
or is it “spiting your nose to suit your face”?
There were several facts stated in the article with links to the studies. He didn

thx for pointing that out Amanda….i had missed that
My 4:23 post was directed @ Amanda.
Kristen, the claim of global warming is only a couple degrees per century, though the rate of increase is expected to accelerate, so any ten year period is not really relevant in that context.
It is certainly interesting to see the Democratic presidential primaries STILL dominating the headlines all the way into June. Who is the Republican nominee again?
Rather, the fact that the warmest year in recorded time was only ten years ago is a clear indication of global warming.
Ray,
I would appreciate if you would respond to a post I made to you a couple weeks ago and then a few times since but you never responded to. It was about abortion and “evil”. I’ll repost it again below for you.
******
I do believe that evil exists, but I do not believe that abortion is evil. Sad, yes, but not evil. If I thought it was evil, I wouldn’t be out there defending with my physical presence.
Posted by: Ray at May 16, 2008 9:02 PM
Ray, I can think of nothing more intrinsically evil then a woman intentionally killing the child inside her womb. What is your definition of evil?
“McCain will compete for Clinton backers”
The headline says it all. And do you still wonder why socon’s are pondering not voting for McCain?

Kristen, what is “Champion News?” It certainly doesn’t seem to be concerned about gathering or reporting actual news. The “article” you linked to (it is more of a diatribe) is based on fiction from the start. The author says, “world temperatures peaked in 1998 and have not been exceeded since (see chart here).” However, the chart he links to does not correspond to data published by NASA or the UK Meteorological Office.
If you want to see evidence for global warming, completely independent of anything published by Al Gore, look here:

Looks like posting is broken.

>Ray, I can think of nothing more intrinsically evil then a woman intentionally killing the child inside her womb. What is your definition of evil?
truthseeker, I choose not to attempt to define or debate the definition of evil with you. But I will say that I believe that our greater souls accept the circumstances that they are born into on this planet as necessary for learning whatever it is that they or their fellow souls need to learn. I don’t know when the soul joins the fetus (I suspect it happens later than conception, but none of us can truly know), but I believe that whenever it does, it does so knowing that abortion is a possibility, and is prepared to make that sacrifice for the good of the mother.
In weighing the rights of the mother against the rights of the fetus, I believe that the rights of the mother win until sometime late in the second trimester. As such, I do not believe that early to mid term abortions are evil. I am not so thrilled about later abortions, but I will continue to fight for their availability for as long as you antis fight to ban abortion altogether.
Any questions?

And Ray…
Yes, I agree the writer was trying to prove the point in the other direction on global warming but he brings up some good points. He does link to facts so I don’t see what you mean by “actual news.”
Anywho, I do believe in global warming. I just don’t agree with the cause.
For instance in the 1940’s temps in Greenland were higher than they are now. And the glacier that many environmentalist measure, Ilulissat (sp?) melted faster in the early part of the 1900’s than it is now, and another glacier, Kangerlusaq (I’m sure I butchered that one) is inconveniently growing now. (I believe Kangerlusaq is further south than Ilulissat.)
At any rate sea levels have risen before. Think El Nino (water expands when it warms) it’s cyclical. Over the centuries the world has warmed and cooled and it always will.
>For instance in the 1940’s temps in Greenland were higher than they are now
Kristen, it is disingenuous to cite local temperature changes when discussing GLOBAL warming, as the changes in weather patterns caused by overall increased global temperature will invariably cause some places to be cooler others to be warmer. The fact is that global temperatures continue to rise and are already far beyond the range of “natural” fluctuation.
And just how exactly do we know what is “far beyond the range of natural fluctuation”? We’ve only been keeping records for 150 years. I mean sure, maybe we know there was cold snap or a heat spell…but FAR BEYOND??? I don’t think so.
Ray,
Greenland is the site environmentalist are using so I was simply refuting the temps. The glaciers I noted are in Greenland. Should I note the temps in Florida when referencing them?
The Hadley Center for CLIMATE PREDICTION is in GREENLAND. How is using the SAME area for temps that the global warming
Any questions?

You just posted why you would allow abortions. You didn’t address my post about defining evil. You may be able to give a relativist argument between the rights of the woman and the rights of the baby, but that does not mean abortion is not evil. The problem I have with your statement is that you denied that abortion is evil. That is the position what I was looking
for you to define. That is why I asked for your definition of evil. Can you clarify?
Right MK. Wasn’t the Jurassic period when the entire Earth was pretty much a tropical rainforest? Or was that the Cretaceous period? :)
Ray, I can respect if you do not feel comfortable discussing what evil is, but if you aren’t, then you really have no business denying that abortion is evil. I wont bring up your post asgain unless you bring it up. ts

Go to the “about” and the “FamilyTaxpayer.com is now ChampionNews.com” sections. It’s apparently ONE guy blogging about current events.
Guess you guys have heard that Obama has won the needed delegates, and Clinton is hanging around to make a grand enough exit with the hopes of uniting the Democrat party, as in VP position.
Lord help us.
No prob TS –
I just wonder how badly people like Andrew AND the mainstream media will damage McCain’s campaign.
The far lefties are trying to make him out to be another Bush – which he ISN’T. And the far righties are trying to make him out to be a liberal in republican clothing, which he ISN’T. Its sad how both extremes have, and no doubt will continue to, twist the truth to suit their agendas.
The reality is, McCain represents the old values of the republican party – which is about giving more power to the states, rather than the fundamentalist Christian agenda that Bush has somehow diluted much of the country in to thinking is an integral part of being republican. It sad to me that we can’t just look at a guy and say “yeah, he’s actually pretty middle of the road!” and be happy about it. Each side has to either claim him an arch enemy or a flawless hero. In McCain’s case, it seems both extremes have claimed he’s an arch enemy. I find it all quite odd, but it will certainly come in handy for Barack.
carder,
McCain has more support then most think. There are a LOT of independents and Democrats who like McCain. The 90% black vote nationwide for Obama is seen as racist and will surely draw a backlash. Also, women feel they were dissed so Hillary for VP will not energize that base like it would have if she had won the nomination. I was actually a lot more afraid of Hillary cause she would NOT have been as vulnerable as Obama. The “change” rhetoric was already wearing thin for the past month and McCain is ready to take this boy to school. Obama has only just begun to put his foot in his mouth and the revelations he gives of his positions are sure to make people uneasy. Sit back and have fun watching his candadacy implode.
Let’s not forget Hillary’s shining accomplishments.

HisMan, you are a sad, angry, bitter man.
I don’t think even the pathetic likes of Fred Phelps would feel the need to call someone ugly because he doesn’t like their parents.
Amanda:
You think Chelsea’s pretty? C’mon, you’re serious?
Rae:
Now them are fightin’ words girl. Put ’em up.
Ray: The fact is that global temperatures continue to rise and are already far beyond the range of “natural” fluctuation.
Right – temps have risen in the past, but not “fast” like they are now. Global warming is increasingly being accepted….
Makes the damn grass grow faster. : (
Also the increased amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere makes plants grow faster, too, quite a bit, really, it being more fuel for photosynthesis.

A duel it is. Preferred weapon, paint balls.
Except, no English accents or British jibberish. That would kill me in and of itself.
Can we have tea first though?
Truthseeker:
This is turning into a very politically correct site if you hadn’t noticed.
OK, ok, Chelsea’s beautiful and the spitting image of Bill and Hillary. I’m sorry Chelsea, you should be on the cover of Cosmopolitan. You’re gorgeous.
Can’t any of you guys laugh at anything?
Guess I’ll go back into my self-righteous, holier than thou mode.
What is so rare

HisMan,
There is a difference between politically correct and Christian. Tell me why you had a problem with the bloody doll the other day?
Doo, doo, doo,

And why would you make humor at the expense our Lord Jesus Christ?
“Yes, Jesus just died for only the perfect ones, like Elizabeth.”

See, the real HisMan has way too much respect for God to use the name of Jesus that way.
@HisMan: Paint balls it is. I can definitely deal with that. And yes we can have tea.
*spikes HisMan’s tea with chamomile to make him sleepy*
Bwahahahahahahaha.
Tell me why you had a problem with the bloody doll
Well, Truthseeker, now you done it.
He SAID:

The real HisMan may use sarcasm but not when talking about the saving power of Jesus. The phony is probably searching archives now to find a response to the bloody doll question but it won’t help his charade.
Yes I do need some sleep.
Truthseeker, or should I say Jusgemeister, get a life will ya.
Peace to all.
And may you all sleep with the fleas of a thousand camels in your beds tonight.
Sorry:
That’s Judgemeister, like in always pointing the finger man.
Rae, you are right. I can’t spell and I am an angry rich, white guy, who can’t spell, lesbophobic, Hillary contradicted, typical white male guy, or something lie that.
I should die now.
bye bye HisPhony..
Come back some time when I’m not around cause you gotta start drinking pretty early in the morning to pull one over on me :)
In your case HisPhony, I think thats Jagermeister

What bloody doll are you referring to?
Please explain.
Are you the same HisMan who was here last night?
HisMan,
When was the last time you visited this site?
Uh Oh,
I think HisPhony might be back.
HisMan, the bloody doll was a reference to the PL Colorado protest outside of the PP fundraiser.
It was a blogline last week and you had said that stunts like that make it look like a circus and don’t help our cause. That may well be why the politically correct demons invaded your person and made you go on a Jagermeister rant.
Let me know if there is anything in problems you might be having that I could include in my special intentions. Otherwise, know that you are in my prayers.
I see God’s handiwork in all of those glorious photos, Doug. Thank you for sharing!!
Pro-life Pulse anybody? any takers?
Truthseeker:
I am not a mindless robot. While I agree with the pro-life message, I don’t have to agree with some of the pro-life method. Waving bloody dolls is one of them.
Look, I’ve been on more campaign trips and fundraisers than the months of your life and people like this (typically higer educated and higher income) just do not respond to this form of intimidation. They do respond to relationship though and that’s more difficult and takes more paticence than waving a bloody doll in their face. In fact, I think it hurts the cause. Now this is just my opinion and for you to demonize me with all your HisPhony baloney is, well, very, very childish. I’d say you were about 20. Am I right?
There are definitely more powerful ways to change hearts. Like proclaiming the word fearlessly and properly and that on a one to one basis.
And since when did you become the thought cop on this site?
Let’s just bury the hatchet right now as I have no plans to ever back down from my priciples or opinions until God sees fit to tell me otherwise.
Your offers of prayers is appreciated. We all need them. How about you?
We should all be focusing on getting John McCain elected and Mike Huckabee as his VP. The alternatives are literally unconscionable.
HisMan,
I appreciate your stance on the bloody doll and I wasn’t really trying to call you out on it. I actually thought you NOT HisMan so I asked you a question about your response on a previous post in order to verify you were who you say you were. I was NOT trying to pick a fight with you. I was trying to protect your good name from somebody i thought was an imposter. When you couldn’t remeber the post I became convinced it wasn’t you.
Mat the peace of the Jesus Christ be with you always. And also with your spirit. ts
Oh yah. I can always use prayers too HisMan. Spiritual warfare is like sailing on the high seas. Things frequently go from calm to chaos without a moments notice.

StudentFL, no problem if you want discussion.
