My friends the storm chasers
Saturday evening we attended one of our more memorable weddings, not only because a dear friend got married.
As Nancy and Cary exchanged vows on the canopied porch of a new local restaurant, the sirens went off, meaning a tornado had been spotted. We tracked the twisters in the bar as they hopscotched to the south and east of us.
Meanwhile, we learned later, our friend Darryl and son Joel – we all attend the same church – did some storm chasing, as the local Fox affiliate profiled. Click on graphic to link to video:

Running over live wire… real smart, Darryl.

The weather in the midwest lately has been incredible.

There are over 1200+ Detrimental Effects of Abortion…
http://www.unfairchoice.info/unsafe.htm
Can you name me 3 other types of surgery performed exclusively on women which is “legal” and has over 1200 detrimental effects on them?
Not to mention each abortion kills a baby in the mother’s womb.
Mike
Thank you, Mike!!
I have pictures of tornadoes in my baby book. Growing up in ND the weather was AMAZING to witness!!
Interesting combination you have there Mike!
Can I have a side order of egg-rolls with that please.
Mike,
SoMG would dismiss each and every one of your claims because your source cites David Reardon. I’m surprised they could only find 1200 detrimental effects.
I would sooo love to chase a tornado. We had tornado warnings here in Southern Ontario and a funnel cloud in Toronto but nothing except severe lightning and heavy rain.
I love storms and lighting. I used to live back East, however, the most violent storms I have ever witnessed have been here in AZ.
The absolute best place on earth to experience a lighting, hail, rain storm is at the Grand Canyon on a three foot wide trail between two converging canyon walls, 60 mph winds, blinding rain, lighting everywhere, with 3,000 foot drops on either side.
What a trip…..awesome.
Patricia, LOL, I don’t think anyone’s going to damage my business by quoting David Reardon.
And I don’t mind people criticizing abortion industry standards, so long as the criticisms are honest.
It’s just very difficult to come up with honest, true complaints about abortion in the USA. Look at the book LIME 5–it sets out to discredit the industry but ends up showing that the industry has an excellent record by its small number of bad examples.
And I don’t mind people criticizing abortion industry standards, so long as the criticisms are honest.

Well, if that was the case SoMG, the body parts would by themselves do it. But the fact that you are so dishonest on every level, means ANY discussion with you is pointless. Too bad, because every soul is worth redeeming, but you can’t force someone to open their eyes. They have to want to be honest about things. You just don’t, as is the case with many other abortion doctors. Those that do, open their eyes to the horror they are perpetrating upon women.
Patricia, whenever you lose an argument with me you accuse me of being dishonest, without being able to quote me in a single lie.
Why not just admit you’re wrong and face the facts?
What argument, SoMG? I’m not arguing ANYTHING with you because there is NO SOURCE you would consider other than PP and proabortion sources. EVEN the Alan Guttmacher Inst. has research supporting many many of my arguments.
I’m sorry but it’s pointless (and needless to say tiresome). You are narrow minded and are in denial about what you do. No one can help you but God and yourself. So I leave you in the presence of yourself. Have a nice evening.
No, I consider OBJECTIVE sources. Respected academic journals such as NEJM, JAMA, Science, Nature, Annals of Internal Medicine, The Lancet, etc. I have asked you before (I think it was you): if you don’t accept data from these sources, then which sources DO you accept? Do you really believe that the editorial boards of the most prestigious medical journals in the world are all part of a vast pro-abort conspiracy?
You wrote: “EVEN the Alan Guttmacher Inst. has research supporting many many of my arguments. ”
For instance …. ?
SOMG – No swearing. Your post was deleted.
Well Jill it’s your site but my use of the word was descriptive, not expletive, and therefore cannot accurately be described as “swearing”.
your source cites David Reardon
:: laughing ::
Doug, What do you really know about Reardon except that SoMG doesn’t like him?
Thank you,SoMG,
You just reminded me to order some more copies of Forbidden Grief for my resource library. If you react so veh.em.ent.ly to the name David Reardon, it’s a must have for me. :)
“Dr.” David Reardon has a degree in Electrical Engineering.
His abortion cred – his degree in “Bioethics” – is from Pacific Western University, a non-accredited college with no facility, faculty or curricula.

(PDU has since been shut down…)
His “Elliot Institute” is a PO Box.
Doug, What do you really know about Reardon except that SoMG doesn’t like him?
Janet, Reardon is the biggest fake, ever, and it’s come up numerous times in the 12 years I’ve been arguing abortion.
Yes, a “bought” ‘doctoral degree’ (yuck yuck yuck) but also nobody serious takes that clown seriously.
Laura/Doug: Yes, I know about David Reardon’s education in Electrical Engineering.. I know him personally. He’s a good guy.
There are many people who do work that is unrelated to their college degrees. Some people change careers three or four times in their lifetimes. The biggest requirements to being successful are having a good head on your shoulders and being dedicated and hardworking.
Laura, who cares if the Elliot Institue is a PO Box? Maybe he’d rather you not visit him. Just a guess. Lol.
Carla, it’s your money. If you want to waste it on Reardon’s garbage, that’s your choice.
Why thank you, SoMG. I do believe I will exercise my right to that choice. :)
Any other books you hate that a post abortive woman like myself should order?
Carla, I bet you’d like LIME 5 by Mark Crutcher. It sets out to discredit the abortion industry in the USA with vivid gore stories and rape stories (which I think you will enjoy reading) but it ends up demonstrating to the logical reader by the small number of bad cases it describes that the abortion industry in the USA has in fact been doing an excellent job. See http://eileen.250x.com/Main/7_R_Eile/Lime5_Debunk.htm
Money quote: “In the Acknowledgments, Mr. Crutcher claims that information for Lime 5 was provided by more than 200 individuals and culled from hundreds of public documents….in total, Lime 5 lists 262 injuries of which 122 women tragically died…. A little mathematics puts things in perspective. Over the past twenty-three years that Roe has been in effect, there have been about 35 million abortions. Rounding up Mr. Crutcher’s number of cases to 300, we get less than one case in one-hundred-thousand that resulted in injury or death. Suppose we choose to play with numbers like Mr. Crutcher and give [him] the benefit of the doubt, agreeing they were unable, for whatever reason, to document most of the serious sequelae of abortion. Giving him an incredibly generous factor of 10, which would make 3,000 cases of serious injury over 23 years, that figure still represents less than one case in ten-thousand of all the abortions performed — hardly an indictment of the safety of the procedure. ”
All noise and no substance. Perfect for a right-to-lifer.
You might also enjoy the movie CITIZEN RUTH, with lovely Laura Dern, which is the funniest abortion movie I have seen so far.
Huh. Ok. I do not ENJOY rape stories, but again, thanks for the info.
