Texas is a safe place. For every criminal with a gun there are a dozen good people with guns.

Can’t leave the in-laws though, or I’d move in a heartbeat. I have the world’s BEST MIL/FIL/SILs and BIL, not to mention an aunt and grandmother!
If it were just my parents… not a problem. That would be like, okay, buh-bye!
