Hmmm… That’s interesting! I was just writing a comment for “Evolution Classes Optional under Proposed Alberta Law”. There are over 2600 comments! Unfortunately, most Canadians are bigoted, closed-minded, discriminatory, etc. and generally unwilling to question the “scientific” establishment. And so, unfortunately, the political establishment must take the same viewpoint–though its broadcasting organ, the CBC (which Canadians are forced to pay for), has so far published my comments.
I get it…..its like PC vs Mac!
This is akin to a conversation between someone who believes in Santa Claus and someone who doesn’t. The person who person who believes in Santa Claus can use the argument that they WANT to believe in Santa Claus and can cite the fact that Santa is not disproved.
And the person who doesn’t want to believe in God can compare Him to Santa Claus or otherwise stick his head in the sand.
“Our God is a consuming fire.” (Heb. 12:29)
I think the real issue here is faith in God vs. atheism. I’m a born-again Christian but believe that God created the universe and everything in it using a gradual process which could be described as evolution. And because time flowed faster when the universe was smaller, the first 7 billion years of time could easily have fit into one of our current 24-hour days. Six 24-hour days of creation? YES! The universe is approximately 14 billion years old? YES! Both are literally correct.
