Like I said earlier, the public’s support for legal abortion has been declining steadily since the seventies. This decline shows no signs of stopping. If we can get people to care more about abortion in general, it could positively influence any upcoming elections.
Assuming the polling questions have been phrased pretty much the same, then to what do we attribute this erosion in public support for child killing?
What, in the dynamics of the debate, has changed?
Uncle Tom’s Cabin is credited with having tipped the scales of public opinion againt slavery.
What is our present day equivalent of Uncel Tom’s Cabin?
It is too little, too late. The cosmic scales of justice move exceedingly slow but they grind exceedingly fine.
I do not believe the second civil war can be avoided.
The blood of the innocent cries out from the ground, but there are only two ways to satisfy the incessant demand for justice:
1) The deaths of an equivalent number of Americans
or
2), The blood of the Lamb of God. But for the Blood of the Lamb to be effective it must be applied to the lentils of the heart in faith.

What good is a poll when so many lie. Those who call themselves pro-life but support a woman’s right to kill for instance. When the truthful are trampled underfoot and the pure of heart are forced into corruption by infidels and unbelievers. Woe I say. Woe, woe, woe woe….
Lord have mercy on us and spare us the snares of the fowler. Rather Lord, invite us to join in union with the blessed who place their trust in you. Guide us in the ways of truth and life. And help all women to once again see their role as that of a nurturer of life; that our traditional family unit created by your design may dwell with you in your house forever. It depends on how the poll is worded. Is it truthful about RvsW? Does the pollster specifically say “do you support or oppose abortion on demand for ANY reason through all nine months of pregnancy as decided by R vs W?” or does it say what some prochoicers THINK R vs W legalized “only in the first three months”?
I would think that it’s worded the same way as always- people usually avoid calling themselves pro-life at all costs thanks to the ugly image that it’s been shackled with. I think that, in general, Americans are well aware of the fact that pro-life means supporting equal rights and pro-choice means not supporting equal rights, they just see pro-life as being the movement of crazy religious fanatics (sigh) and therefore, people do everything that they can to avoid being called pro-life.
I don’t think that there’s going to be a civil war. The last one wasn’t even caused by slavery; that was just a big deal at the time, but really the roots of the last civil war stretch all the way to when the settlers stepped off of the boat. I don’t think that we’re in any danger of civil conflagration.

I don’t know ANYONE who is ashamed of calling themselves prolife!! We are all proud to be fighting for life from conception to natural death.
The TRUTH is on our side and it is never wrong to stand for the youngest and most vulnerable among us.
The term CHOICE has been hijacked. CHOICE means abortion which means a dead child and a wounded mother.
Carla, I agree with you- I don’t know a single person who is ashamed to be called pro-life, unless they are still “on the fence” concening abortion and still think abortion should be permissable in some situations- which makes them pro-abortion not pro-life anyway.
I am SO proud to be called pro-life- I think the image associated with being pro-life is a great one, a life affirming one, a LOVING one.
I think pro-choice has the ugliest image possible associated with it- the image of a child torn to pieces for no reason other than it inconveniences someone else! “Choice” = death! THAT IS UGLY!
