Quote of the Day 1-13-10
It is essential that my organization, NARAL Pro-Choice America, engages even more young Americans and enlists their talent and passion
in the cause of protecting women’s reproductive rights. They can help
ensure that women’s freedom and privacy are protected far into the
future.
~ NARAL president Nancy Keenan, January 13, as quoted by Change.org

NARAL’s message is so 1970’s. Young Americans of today are smarter than to fall for NARAL’s lies that abortion can be a valid choice for some women. Abortion doesn’t make women’s lives better. It hurts women AND men. It destroys families.
NARAL “Pro-Choice” America destroys the lives of young Americans and in fact destroys the future.
Everyone they are trying to reach is someone they would have destroyed 15, 20, 25 years ago.
Janet, head to YouTube sometime. Yes, they’re that stupid.
xalisae,
You are right. We have a looong way to go. I should have said that I think SOME young Americans are wising up and rejecting the lies of NARAL.
“Everyone they are trying to reach is someone they would have destroyed 15, 20, 25 years ago.”
What an inane statement. Yes, I’m sure NARAL’s out to prevent women from having babies entirely. Thank the Lord my mother wasn’t sucked in by NARAL’s insidious, evil evil lies! Just to think, I could be a little fetus or embryo flying around Heaven right now. So tragic.
I’m thankful my mother had a choice. To think of living under an anti-abortion regime…terrifying. I’d rather not have been born at all than to have been born under regret and duress.
And xalisae: I don’t care if you decided to have your baby. Welcome to martyrdom. I’m all caught up on my biology, and haven’t really found the cornerstone of your oh-so-convincing right to life spiel. It seems pretty self-evident that a woman can be held obligated to children after they’re no longer housed inside her body…but keeping spouting angry rhetoric that sperm + egg=fully formed person, persecuted individual, prisoner of mother’s womb, etc.
but keeping spouting angry rhetoric

Boy that’s rich, isn’t it?
Dear Nancy,
I hate to break this to you….but I will….You are losing. Losing ground, losing young people, losing your grip on reality.
Wow…that makes no sense whatsoever. As long as your kid is not in your body, it’s ok to kill it. You’re going to be a terrific mother. That’s like me saying that once my son steps foot outside our front door, it’s perfectly acceptable to shoot him in the head. Where my children are have no impact on what they are or who they are-yes-even inside the magical uterus. My daughter is the same entity now as she was inside me, only that time has passed and she has grown. I’ve grown a little myself, it doesn’t mean that I wasn’t a person before. I’m not raising my kids for you or other people to say how great I am. I’m raising them because they deserve every bit of life that I’ve been entitled to, and heck, they turned out to be more fun than I thought they would, too.
Megan: “I’m all caught up on my biology…”
Then why do you believe the blastocyst to float in “cyberspace?”
And don’t forget, Oliver, the level of development or point of life cycle affects what species of organism it is, too. Gotta love pro-choicer biology. THEY’RE SO FU’ING SCIENTIFIC!
