I’ve read so many stories of things that can go wrong in a pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, that I’m one big panic ball….
This is why we call it a fetus. It’s not a baby until it comes out, and it coming out, becoming a baby, is not a given.
I really, really want this fetus to become a baby. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this baby. Freddy and I picked out names before we were even married. This “baby” has been alive for years, even though it was only (physically) conceived in February. And I have to wait until October to find out if it’s going to materialize into a real, live, human baby.

Exactly what is it RIGHT NOW, Criss? Human? Yes. Baby? Yes. Unborn? Yes. Real? Yes. Alive? Yes.
I would first like to congratulate the young lady for welcoming a new life into her marriage and wish all the best with the pregnancy. And even though many things can go wrong in pregnancy, there’s millions of women giving birth everyday to healthy and happy babies, so maybe it’s much healthier to concentrate on the positive?

So the baby she’s carrying is actually not real??? Is it a melon then in her uterus? Or a phantom? And according to that sentence, her baby also isn’t live!!!!! Shock horror, is she carrying a dead baby or fetus? Or does it only become alive on the day of birth???? Like Frankenstein? And apparently whatever she’s carrying isn’t even HUMAN!!!!! Run for your lives people, I think we have alien invasion on a serious scale here!!!
Complete ignorance of medical facts that at the moment of conception the genetic program is created for a UNIQUE, HUMAN, LIVE person, it has the mum’s and dad’s chromosome combination and starts growing rapidly, it only takes a month or so until the baby has a hearthbeat and a heart!!! To call it not human, not live and not real is pretty much unbelievable. How about going into labour too early? What if the baby doesn’t stay in the womb for the whole 9 months and is born at 24 weeks? Is it still a fetus, because the baby dared not to finish the whole process? Or does it depend on survival – if it survives, it’s a baby, if it dies during birth – it’s a fetus???
Vita, I think you miss understood her.
She said she had to wait for it to become a “real, live, human *baby*.” That doesn’t mean it can’t be a real fetus, or a human fetus, right now. I cannot speak for other people, but I’m willing to bet that Criss knows the fetus is a living fetus. It’s just not a living *baby,* not a real *baby* yet.
When it’s born, it will become a baby to her. For now, it’s a fetus.
She means “real to me”, not “real” in general, because it already IS real. This is just more mental gymnastics to legitimize the atrocity of abortion. /yawn

So when exactly does a fetus become a baby? During birth, right? And what is the difference? How the fetus few days before birth and the baby that’s just been born are different? It’s been inside the womb, and now it’s outside, but the little boy or a girl is EXACTLY the same person!
The pro-aborts (lets call people their correct names) like to play with words, because they know if they call the baby in the womb what it actually is – a baby, they would have a much more difficult task of proving that killing that baby is justifiable. But when you call it some medical term it becomes just a part of medical procedure, something that can either removed from the uterus, like a tumor, or left there to grow and “become” a baby. Interesting….

Unborn children have beating hearts and brains with brainwaves. The real question is whether the abortionists have those same characteristics.
There’s a reason prochoicers must play word games. Put yourselves in their shoes for a moment. The moment they call a fetus a “baby,” they can’t be prochoice anymore. For many women, everything is staked on this belief because they’ve actually had previous abortions. Can you imagine the horror you would feel if during a wanted pregnancy you came to realize/acknowledge that the baby you aborted in a previous pregnancy was just as real as the wanted baby within you now? That would be unbearable. So, they have to keep calling their wanted babies “fetuses” in order to remain in denial. It’s a coping mechanism.
Saw this same person bragging about a previous abortion on Twitter-guess the magic wand didnt wave for that one and ‘turn it into a real baby.’ So lets review-its a not a baby in the birth canal, not a baby when just the head is out? Pleasae do demystify for us when the magic moment occurs, Criss. This is an overused Alinsky tactic-assign any meaning you want to facts. I can assure you when I was pregnant no one asked me when my ‘lump of tissue’ was due. This woman claims to be a teacher. God help any young minds she warps with this kind of denial of reality. And God help the ‘non human product of conception’ that didnt make the cut with her the first time around. Incidentally, that one was a human being too. Try telling the average pregnant woman shes not pregnant with a baby and see what kind of reaction you get, Criss. Doctrinaire feminism says they arent babies. Science says otherwise. Those pregnancy books can be worry-inducing, and I’m sympathetic with you as far as that goes. Call it a “fetus”, a “rutabaga” or a” rainbow”, when you’re having sex, you have to be thinking that you might get pregnant; take care of your nutritional needs and all the other things that make a healthy baby before you know you are pregnant.

Well, ya know, if something goes wrong (happened to my friends) and ya know, the cord wraps around the throat and the fetus dies…she won’t cry right? No grief! Cause its not REAL. Its not a live baby…just a fetus. So whatever Criss! Stop worrying! If it doesn’t materialize into a real live human baby in October you can always try to conceive another fetus. Pro-aborts have renamed the baby a fetus.

Comments that compare pro-choicers to Nazis go up, but my comment that said that, even though fetuses are not children, women can still grieve for them, doesn’t make the cut. Doesn’t surprise me. The moderation system isn’t about keeping about the hatred, it’s about keeping out the pro-choicers. If it were about keeping out hatred, there wouldn’t be any anti-choice comments here.
I can’t imagine anything worse than taking the life of my own child, born or unborn (and there are many bad things that people do!). That must be a terrible regret to live with. I can understand why some people who have had abortions stay in denial about their actions. I’m glad I’m not Criss! Would hate to be her, living with what she did. I have six children–one of my children died 10 years ago. I miss him terribly. My children are each precious, unique, unrepeatable treasures. Surely Criss will look at her baby and wonder, even for an instant, about the baby she killed–if the baby was a boy or a girl, what relationship her children would have had–older sister-little sister, older protective brother-little sister, or maybe two boys, hanging out doing what boys do! Can’t help but wonder what she’ll tell her child when her child asks about the older brother or sister s/he never knew. Will Criss feel a pang of saddness or shame then? The message that she is sending all her children is that if you were not convenient for me, I would have killed you too.

I’m not angry at her for having a baby. I’m laughing at her for being a moron. She’s having to contort her brain into the most fantastically oddball places to make this not-a-baby-until-it-magically-becomes-a-baby-because-now-it-is-touching-air!!!1!1!eleventy-one! No one ever does that…unless they’re pro-choice and they have to justify abortion to themselves. And she is and she does.

What I think she should think about is when the soul of her fetus was/is endowed. Is it the moment of the baby’s first breath? Is it when she kisses the baby for the first time? Maybe she doesn’t think humans have souls so this might be lost on her…..
What about looking at abortion “medical waste” at the same stage she is in her pregnancy and try to decipher whether or not those are baby arms and legs torn apart from the unknown torso.

“Unborn baby” is plenty understandable, and to say that an 8 month fetus “is not a baby” is quite a stretch, IMO.
Likewise for saying that a blastocyst or zygote “is a baby.”

And they say prolifers are unrealistic and living in fantasyland. I have to say this, it is an old expression but very appropriate “the elevator doesn’t go to the top”, when you can consider performing a circumcision a violation of a baby’s human rights but the same baby’s dismemberment, torture and murder-on demand by his mother is a “her reproductive right”. Poor little baby, not even considered a human baby until his “incubator -in-waiting” delivers him and awards him the “I now pronounce you a human baby award”. Wow Praxedes this is really messed up.
This woman has what I think of as the “Frankenstein’s monster” mindset to humanity and fetal development. She thinks unborn babies are like Frankenstein’s monster in that Frankenstein creates the body of the monster, but the monster doesn’t come to life until he gives it life.
