Wow… what a grand accomplishment.
My older brother used to watch it. I was just a kid when it was on and it always bothered me that the husband was lusting after girls in bikinis and treating his wife like trash. I used to go up into my room and cry because it hurt me to think a husband could view his wife like that.
It was nothing compared to what was on cable tv at the time; I found the show funny (such as the episode when Al meets space aliens or the one where the dog was going to get fixed) but it was hardly the lowest moral thing on. I didn’t like the Al-Peg thing as much, but I love her doing the voice of Lela on Futurama.
The mistreating was spread around fairly evenly, I think. In the ’90s, writers started taking away the “husband zings his wife” part but unfortunately left in the “wife zings her husband” part.
(Posting from a library is fun!)
I guess Christina is unmarried and pregnant now, by a musician I think, maybe a bass player…
Hey, God bless her for not killing the baby.
wow…never thought I’d hear Christina Applegate say something like that….
And Amen to ED’s note: “God bless her for not killing the baby”
“I feel like we paved the way for the destruction of morality on the tube.”
Now that’s a seriously arrogant statement. That’s like saying that Jesus paved the way for all human morality. Serious Arrogance…
Ed,
You know what you call a drummer without a girlfriend?
Homeless!
“I don’t know why I try to talk about politics publicly when I have no idea what I am talking about. I feel like I should be auditioning for ‘The View’.”
Comediene Bonnie McFarlane
LOL Ken!
I pray she meets someone who will be a suitable father for the child. My guess is that if the sperm donor was a keeper, they would have married (or at least be planning) by now.
She’s got to have a pretty goofed up view of marriage having been on that show for so long.
Get into church girl and get your mind renewed to the Word of God!
What’s the last thing a drummer says before leaving a band?
“Hey, guys…how about we try one of MY songs…”
Everything I’ve seen about her refers to the father of her baby as her fiance’, Ed, so they ARE planning on getting married. Of course, that should have come FIRST.
