Quote of the Day 12-27-10
Without them, I wouldn’t be here today. It is their faithfulness and perseverance that help women face the truth of abortion every day.
~ Former Planned Parenthood leader Abby Johnson, crediting loving pro-life sidewalk counselors with her conversion.
Johnson has written a book, Unplanned: The Dramatic True Story of a Former Planned Parenthood Leader’s Eye-Opening Journey across the Life Line, about her life inside and outside the abortion industry.

Good for her! Maybe if she will stop trash talking other pro-lifers I might care to read of her conversion and actually believe it.
What’s up, Sydney?
Sydney,
You bring up something I haven’t heard before. What exactly is she doing?
What a surprise. This fraud cashed in on a book deal. I am just shocked.
Well, Joan, if she’s a fraud and the book is a tissue of lies, I’m sure that PP will no doubt take her to court and sue her for libel. I’m sure that they feel a sufficient confidence in the cross-examination from Johnson’s attorneys.
Should be quite a show, but somehow I think PP will skulk in the shadows, fearing the revealing nature of courtroom proceedings.
I have never met Abby. I don’t know her personally. I can’t say if she is for real or a fraud. I just know that I was soooo excited to read of her change of heart when the news first came out. I added her as a friend on facebook and even exchanged a warm email with her. Then my jaw dropped when every time I would see her status it was a lot of complaining about other pro-lifers and also making absurd claims about certain pro-life groups that I happen to support, saying they want to kill abortionists, for instance. I called her on it and even posted links to these groups’ pages showing how they are not for violence and asked her to back up her claims. She just deleted my posts. After a while I just couldn’t stomach her derisive and divisive schlech. So I deleted her from my friends. I was so sad to see the newest pro-life champion bashing other pro-lifers that sorry to say, were saving babies when Abby was still helping to butcher them.
And maybe by bashing her I’m doing exactly what she was doing so I’m going to stop. But I will never be going “rah rah” over Abby. I neither like her nor dislike her. I just view her with wary eyes.
Deprogramming is hard, Sydney. Please try to keep that in mind. Plus, imagine that some people take the attitude of “…were saving babies when Abby was still helping to butcher them.” I’m sure she’s probably been meeting with some resistance from some factions within the pro-life movement. Many of us have. I’m sure things will be better once she’s been on this side of the fence for awhile, and once she’s had time to prove herself a little more.
You’re probably right X. Actually in response to Joan I had that very thought. Its hard when you surround yourself with hateful people who are so hurt and bitter that they spew bile every time they open their mouths to get rid of that mindset.
Norma McCorvey still struggled with her temper and cursing after she accepted Christ and also came to the pro-life side. She even said abortion should still be legal in the first interviews she did. She was still figuring it out. Maybe Abby is still figuring it out. I hope so. I truly wish her the best.
Just wanted to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas!
