Quote of the Day 12-6-10
Almost a quarter of people never or only sometimes use contraception with a new partner, a [UK] survey has shown.
The main reason for not using contraception is people “get carried away in the moment”, according to the poll of 3,000 people.
Almost 1 in 10 are “not bothered” about using anything, despite the fact 1 in 4 say they sleep around.
Asked about their sexual encounters, 11% said the majority of them were one night stands and 13% said most were made up of “quick flings”. Another 2% said they mostly slept with strangers….
Pharmacist Lisa McCreesh… said: “Our research challenges the belief that teenagers are more promiscuous than older generations. They unfairly get a bad name, while those in their 50s, who grew up in the 60s and 70s, are living up to the era’s carefree image as they take greater risks with their sexual health.”
~The UK Press Association, revealing the latest research on contraceptive use in the United Kingdom, December 5

Unplanned pregnancies occur not as a result of a lack of available contraception or education, but rather user failure, either improper or inconsistant use or not being used at all.
I cannot get that image of genital warts out of my head. Or herpes. YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! So not worth a night of passion. Especially 1 in 4 saying they sleep around (and 1 in 4 Americans has an STI or STD) YUCK!
I’m sure Megan will shower her sourness all over this AGAIN but I for one am grateful for God’s rules. I don’t have to worry about disease…nor pregnancy. Because if another baby is conceived I definitely know who the father is and that he is committed to me and our children.
well, there is the possibility that their “rational part” believes in rational, calm relationships, with carefully curated sex, so as not to upset the applecart of ambition and five year planning, but their soul longs for a beautiful man, or woman, to sweep them away to a private, and personal, deep, fertile love. It could be a soul recognizing another soul and longing for a child. And society has been very carefully training them to not listen to the siren’s music.
And, well, don’t we already know that the people who believed the free love stuff in the seventies were the most depraved people in the free world- per aldous huxley’s brainwashing and indoctrination in Brave New World?
What I’m wondering is- how are they going to handle being at the old folk’s home? Their immune system will be aging and fraying. Can you imagine stds there? isn’t at least one form of dementia associated with herpes?
