Lunch Break: Police take away Charlie Sheen’s children
WARNING: adult subject matter not suitable for children.
From People:
Charlie Sheen got a reality check Tuesday evening when police officers visited his mansion to take his twin boys out of his custody, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
The move comes after his ex Brooke Mueller won a restraining order in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier in the day based on recent allegations that Sheen was physically and verbally abusive to Mueller, according to her legal declaration.
“I am very concerned that [Sheen] is currently insane,” Mueller stated in the document. “I am in great fear that he will find me and attack me, and I am in great fear for the children’s safety while in his care.”
Judge Hank M. Goldberg stripped Sheen of custody of his boys – for now – and forbade him from communicating with Mueller or getting within 100 yards of her or the kids.
Mueller alleges that Sheen took their twins, Bob and Max, 23 months, from her residence without her permission on February 26 and had withheld them from her since then, according to the court documents.
Sheen “rarely saw our children [since our December 25 domestic incident] and only recently began to show any interest in them,” Mueller stated.
When she tried to get the twins back, Sheen allegedly threatened, “I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom,” she said.
Mueller also alleged that while on vacation in the Bahamas last week with his two girlfriends, Sheen launched into a tirade against Mueller, punched her in the arm, spat on her feet and “threatened to stab my eye with a pen knife,” the documents show.
A hearing is set for March 22 to determine whether to extend the restraining order. Both Sheen and Mueller are required to attend.
When contacted by PEOPLE and asked if he planned to fight for custody of his sons, Sheen replied with a text message that reads, “Born ready. Winning.”

This guy is a creep, and I’m tired of the media acting like he’s some lovable rogue. Can anyone imagine if a woman or person of color acted like this? Their career would be OVER.
I do believe that Charlie has some deep, serious issues that need addressing. I read he wants $3 MILLION per show now. eh
WHY are we still giving CS any attention? That’s what he WANTS..more attention. I’m tired of hearing about him. And shame on Brooke Mueller for having anything to do with him in the first place! She KNEW his reputation, so did Denise Richards. I think it becomes a “conquest” to these women as well. “Who can tame the wild boy? SHE wasn’t woman enough, but i bet I can!” And now there are FOUR innocent children in the mix. Unfortunately THEY are paying for their mothers’ stupidity.
Don’t go knockin on Charlie’s door tryin to sell ‘crazy’, there is no room at that inn.
He is full up. [They are legion.]
The lights are not on and no one is home, but the disembodied ‘voices in his head’.
Hi phillymiss,
It looks like his career is over with the loss of “Two and a Half Men”.
Hi Ken,
In centuries past, the aristocrisy entertained themselves by visiting asylums and watching the inmates. Now, the media puts them on TV to provide themselves with entertainment.
Someone Baker Act this guy NOW!
Don’t know for sure if it’s true or not, but on the radio this morning it was said that Brooke only gets the kids four hours per day – the terms of her drug rehab arrangement.
Yeah, old Charlie is pretty crazy.
Maybe so, Mary. I’m not trying to play the “race card,” it just seems there’s one standard for white males in Hollywood and another for everyone else. I wonder what the media would say about a female celebrity who had two male porn stars for boyfriends. I don’t think it would be very nice!
Hi phillymiss,
I never thought this was anything racial. I see your point but I really think Sheen is headed down the toilet, much like Lindsey Lohan. You just can’t help people who are determined to destroy themselves. It sounds to me like CS is already brain damaged and I’m not saying that to be facetious. I can’t imagine abusing one’s body so badly and there not being any consequence.
Definite double standard for men and women though. I could dedicate an entire thread to that subject!
I could too. Remember the Republican senator from Massachusetts (his name escapes me) that posed nude for some magazine — I mean full frontal. If that would have been a woman, her political career would have been over!
It’s so sad that people idolize celebrities instead of the people around them who are making a difference every day.
Filly,
The Massachussetts Senator’s name is Scot Brown, a republican .
At least Brown was not featured as the ‘centerfold’ in a publication targeted at male homosexuals.
But your point is well taken [no doblé entendré intended].
A woman with political aspiratations would probably not fare well if she had gone ‘full montessa’ in a porn publication, no matter the target audience….unless she were a liberal.
Put Charlie in front of Judge Judy and let her make mince meat out of him. If anyone could do it, Judy could.
I’m just waiting for Saturday Night Live to do a spoof on him and this whole mess.
I wish someone would take these children away from BOTH parents and put them up for adoption in a home with a real mother and father. The problem is social services is only ever interested in Christian homeschoolers, not porn-loving crack stars.
Charlie Sheen should be committed.
he’s a poor role model AND father, living with a porn star….not good for those young boys who need to grow up right.
I’m just throwing this out there. Are Charlie and his wife, by virtue of their heterosexuality, more fit as parents than a stable loving gay couple who do not use drugs or cavort with porn stars?
Which children have more love and stability? The son of Elton John and his partner or the children of Charlie Sheen and his present wife, who also has some drug issues, who has taken a restraining order against him?
Hi Mary:
The first couple procreated their children but they are both massively unfit parents. How they can be parents when they can’t even take care of themselves?
It honestly has taken me some time to not be so judgmental toward gay couples. I still have a little way to go because of my Christian faith. But to answer your question, EJ and his partner are the more fitting parents. If I were a baby again and could only choose either couple as my parents, I’d rather be in EJ and his partner’s home where I would be valued and cherished.
Speaking of gay couples, I also like Ellen and Portia. Ellen especially is very likeable and personable.
LL
Hi Laura Loo,
Thank you for your response and your honesty.
When one looks at what children have endured since time began (abused, neglected, abandoned, born into and/or sold into slavery, serving warring armies, tossed into orphanages and asylums, horrendous poverty, famines, epidemics, warfare) and sadly endure now, it would seem that having gay parent(s) would be the least of our concerns.
I understand Judy Garland’s father was gay, as was Liza Minelli’s. Obviously gay parents are not a modern day phenomenom.
You’re welcome Mary. Good question. :)
Let us not cry tears for CS – he only had them since this past Saturday – I do not know who has custody of them – but certainly he should not.
As a foster mom, I resent the crack about only home schooling Christian parents that social services is interested in. One of the forms that I had to fill out asked me my sexual orientation – I refused to answer – that is none of the state’s business.
“Are Charlie and his wife, by virtue of their heterosexuality, more fit as parents than a stable loving gay couple who do not use drugs or cavort with porn stars?”
Mary,
No. Although, just becauses Charlie and his Ho’s are bad parents doesn’t mean children should not have a Mother and a Father.
Hi Jasper,
That wasn’t my point. In the ideal world every child would have an idyllic childhood and loving parents, a mother and a father. Sadly no such world has ever existed.
We can see that heterosexuals do not always make the best parents and gay people the worst. Considering what some children endure in childhood, are gay parents the worst that can happen to a child?
Hi LeeAnn 10:44PM
“ ….I refuse to answer- that is none of the state’s business”
GOOD FOR YOU!!!
Thank you for your service to children in need.
“Considering what some children endure in childhood, are gay parents the worst that can happen to a child?”
Hi Mary,
No, having gay parents certainly wouldn’t be the worst thing that could happen to a child… there are alot of decent gay people (not the Rachael Maddow types) that would probably make better parents than many straight people.
phillymiss, I have found it interesting to watch the different reactions to Charlie Sheen and Chris Brown, specific to the domestic-violence issue.
A woman with political aspiratations would probably not fare well if she had gone ‘full montessa’ in a porn publication
Ken, HA! I love that “full montessa.” : D
And for all the worry and head-shaking and hand-wringing, etc., we still have the fact that Justin Bieber finally got a half-decent haircut. The glass is at least half full!
Here’s a different question, but perhaps worth considering. I base this on my understanding that this is a Christian blog, oriented to pro-life matters. That said, I ask why this is even a topic for discussion here. Frankly, I fail to see how this is any of our damned business. Must you resort to tabloid trash for these “lunch breaks”? Perhaps I’m just a fuddy-duddy about these matters, but all this yap and yammer, this idle chit-chat about the lives of celebrities smacks of the sin of gossip. If I’m wrong on that, I’d like to hear why. I’d hate to see an otherwise-fine blog be turned into a grocery-store rag.
we are talking about this a bit since it appears that a former girlfriend of Charlie’s, a young porn star, just had her 4th abortion, and named Charlie as the possible father. I think that is why this is appearing.
Heaven forbid if we start getting tabloid trashy here. There is enough to talk about pro-life related, for sure.
I featured this as a Lunch Break because it relates to children in harm’s way, parents in crisis, and the gal who is post-abortive. All these are regular topics at this site.
Also, the ridiculous assumption on the adults’ part that this is a “normal” family to raise children.
Hopefully we have had many folks who have prayed for this family, especially the well-being of those children.
I don’t find PEOPLE to be a trashy tabloid. That designation would be reserved for other publications.
Mary: “In centuries past, the aristocrisy entertained themselves by visiting asylums and watching the inmates.”
Now WE get to view the artistocracy as the inmates. Who says there is no justice?!
