Too clever! What she didn’t say is that kids sometimes give the BEST hugs and there’s nothing like hearing “Mama, I love you.” Or “Mama, you’re a princess.” Or “Mama, it’s all right, you be okay.” And having that person come up to you and pat you on the back or say “God bless you.” when you sneeze. Or come tell you about all the wonderful things they’re doing and using their imaginations.
And of course, now I’m able to go up to MY mother and say “Sorry for the crap I put you through. You are the most awesome mom in the world! I love you and I’m so grateful God made you my mom.”
