While some in the GOP blame election losses on the pro-life movement (despite abiding by a tacit agreement not to push its case), there is also some push-back from clinics that refuse to comply with Planned Parenthood’s mandate that every affiliate perform abortions beginning next year.

The news clip mentioned that McCain said that abortion should be off limits. People say alot of silly things in the first few days following an election. While I do not know exactly what he said there are reports that some other milquetoast luminaries like Jon Huntsman have suggested the same. They ought to join their comrade Charlie Crist and make it official that they are really democrats. We have the moral highground, the commitment, and the organizational expertise to successfully support even more prolife candidates. Sensible Republicans, thankfully the majority of the leadership, understand that prolife is their largest base constituency and that without them the party would be history.
