Pro-life video of the day: D&E abortion

In commemoration of last month’s 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade…
Eclipse of Reason, produced 25 years ago in 1987 by the late Dr. Bernard Nathanson, is a gruesome video that features a preborn baby boy being aborted via dilation and evacuation (D&E).
I have watched this video multiple times over the years and cry my heart out for this poor little boy.
D&E procedures are not as popular as they used to be. According to Jill, the preferred method of late-term abortion currently is the induced labor abortion procedure, a two- or three-day process that involves dilating the cervix to deliver the preterm baby. The baby is either killed beforehand by lethal injection or anticipated to die during or shortly after birth.

This is the first time for me to view this film. It is hard to believe it was produced so many years ago and I had never heard of it.

I say to pro-aborts “watch it and own it because this is what you support” and the labor-induced abortions are horrible as well. Same result “if you want a dead baby I will be sure you get one” As for the born alive infants too bad (I assure you they cannot guarantee that all of these babies will NOT be born alive when delivered because some babies are natural fighters ask the moms of premies and NICU nurses), one way or another you will get a dead baby. As the illustrous leader of the free world said to Jill when he was an Illinois State Senator ”it is too much of a burden” on the women or doctor to have a baby attended to if the baby is born alive when she intended the baby be dead (I paraphrase but you get the point). Yuck! Sick, barbaric and demonic.

This child (through his death over 25 years ago) is the greatest spokesperson for pro-life options counseling. This precious baby has probably saved many lives due to moms in PCC’s watching and being convicted that abortion is NOT the answer to an unplanned pregnancy. I used to show this video to some of my clients who agreed to watch it, and after doing so they went from being ab-vulnerable or ab-minded to giving their babies life.
No baby deserves to die in the barbaric manner that is abortion.

I don’t respect Bernard Nathanson. He was just an opportunist who suckered one group and then the other.
However, this film should be shown in every high school in America!!!!!!!! Force young people to see what it is they might be doing. Force people to see the ugliness.
WHO HAS LATER-TERM ABORTIONS? Second-trimester abortions cost more, pose more health risks, are offered by fewer providers and are harder to access. Most are done between 13 and 15 weeks. Very few are done at 21 weeks or later. The overwhelming majority of second-trimester patients say they would have preferred to have had their abortion earlier. These women are more likely to be:

(Denise) I may indeed read his books. I know that a man who believes abortion should be criminalized refused to share a podium with Nathanson. That man said “Aborting America” turned him off because “it was too much bragging and not enough remorse.”

That’s a powerful video and should be seen by All people. How awesome to have that statement by Charleton Heston there as well ! I think it would make an even bigger impact if more statements were obtained from women who realized too late what the psychological damage to themselves was going to be after killing their child / having an abortion.
