My wife has the video, somewhere, of me, a brown eyed, brown haired caucasian groom singing her down the aisle with a song taken from the Song of Solomon, “Arise my darling, my beutiful one and come along.”
When she arrived at the altar, she responded by singing the ‘Song of Ruth’, “Wherever you go, I will go, your people will be my people, your GOD will be my GOD.”
I was almost engaged to another lady when the LORD uprooted and re-located me 2,200 miles to Washington State. Met my future bride a few weeks later in Vancourver, British Columbia, Canada. We were engaged in 6 months and in another 6 months we were married just a few days past one year after my arrival in Washington.
Oh, almost forgot, on our first date I brought her a corsage made with RED and WHITE ROSES.
My wife had been engaged a few months before we met but she broke it off because she knew it was not the LORD’s will. When she told her pastor she did not believe she would ever get married, he susggested she leave that up to GOD.
My wife prayed. She told the LORD if you don’t want me to marry that’s fine, but if you do want me to marry, I have to be sure. I want him to be caucasian, [My wife is Japanese], I want him to have brown hair and brown eyes. I want him to love music. I want him to love YOU and I need one more thing. I need a sign to be sure he is the one.
Have him bring me RED and WHITE ROSES.
I teared up again.
verklempt again.
I noticed the cute swinging feet of the little girl being held in the background as the groom was singing.
Ohmygosh, Ken. What a story!! God is indeed good.
KtB: No one can say God wasn’t in the details of bringing you and your bride together. So happy for you. LL :D
For all you agnotics, atheists, pagans and progressive humanists out there:
Isn’t it awsome to observe evolutionary natural selection at work.
I mean how else can you explain the origins of the hummingbird, especially that one species in South America where the male and females have differently shaped bills each uniquely fashioned to extract nectar from two different species of flowers.
How many times do you have to roll the evolutionary dice before just the right sequence of events co-incide at just the right time?
mother nature must be one heck of a holy roller.
Much was made by YouTube and GodTube commenters that he only looked fleetingly in her eyes. I thought it was more dramatic,
Young Dan can attest to how well it played.
