Pro-life vid of day: (Almost aborted) Cher and mom sing duet on Ellen

Unconventional Cher and her mom Georgia Holt were recently interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres.
That this happened at all is a testimony to the sanctity of life. According to Breitbart, May 9:
Cher, one of Planned Parenthood’s biggest cheerleaders, was almost aborted by her mother.
Georgia Holt was 20-years old, separated from her husband and pregnant. She moved back in with her mother who told her to get an abortion or get back together with her husband. She decided on an abortion and scheduled the procedure. LifeSite News reports:
I can remember the chairs were chrome [in the clinic], and I was sweating,” she recounted. “The sweat was just coming off of me on this chrome and when the door opened and it was my turn, I said, ‘Mother, I can’t do it.’ So, that’s how she’s here.
This has not stopped Cher from defending Planned Parenthood and justifying abortion.
Cher, her sister Georganne, and Georgia appeared on Ellen to tout a rereleased cd of Georgia’s, originally recorded in 1980, this time with Cher accompanying. Back in the day Georgia had her own singing and tv career. The new cd is being released right before Georgia’s 87th birthday!

Say what you will about Cher, but she and her mother look AMAZING.

Look I agree with the opinion that logic defies Cher’s support of Planned Parenthood and am very happy her mother chose life instead. However, why would you feel the need to comment on how AMAZING Cher and her mom look? Cher has clearly had multiple upon multiple surgical procedures to keep her from aging naturally. I cannot speak to her mom, but it seems like you are advocating the women going under the knife to keep some artificial semblance of youth. I would so much rather talk about how some gorgeous NON celebrity surgery addict has aged naturally. Their looks were completely irrelevant to this story.
All I get from this is that the decision to abort was not right “for her”…or did I miss something? The videos have nothing about this.
Janis – the storyline was not how amazing they look due to multiple surgeries. That’s merely how I chose to end the write-up – that they look great.
The major thrust was their recounting their relationship from the past and the present and Cher bringing her mom’s music to the forefront once again due to technological advancements just prior to her 87th birthday. A nice tribute just having exited Mother’s Day yesterday.
The final video with Cher and Georgia singing was a nice memory maker.
Finally, we also mentioned the Breitbart article that discusses how Georgia almost aborted Cher – yet she is pro-choice (an oximoron of sorts).

If people knew how close their own mothers were to killing them through abortion, I imagine more would be pro-life.
Cher defies reason in a lot of areas of her life so this one is not worth banging my head against the wall over.

I say she is lucky she didn’t end up on a poster being used to protest abortion. Then she wouldn’t look so AMAZING. She would look dead.
87 years old, the demin outfit and the wig…puhleeeeeeezzzzzze. The entire escapade is just laughable.

I have to agree. Age appropriate clothes are considerably more dignified and attractive. The outfit she has on at the top of the page is stunning and very flattering. Its also age appropriate. I don’t expect her to dress like the parson’s wife, but as you say, puhleeeeeeezzzzze.
Can’t stand either one of these women. Too bad Cher wasn’t more like her mom and chose multiple abortions.
They do NOT look amazing. They look fake and phony. They are examples of women who do their absolute best to fight against normal aging. That’s not amazing. It’s unattractive and sets a horrible precedent. There should be no kudos for a woman going under the knife repeatedly and deliberately dressing decades younger than they are all in a pathetic attempt to pretend they aren’t actually senior citizens.
Yeah, right, “Kudos, Cher, for having so much money you can ‘keep your looks up’ with the best plastic surgery money can buy! We wouldn’t want you to look like a respectable woman in her 60’s.” Saying she looks great is saying that NORMAL women do not look great when they age because they aren’t fighting it tooth and nail. It just sickens me! And no I’m not a bitter 60 yo woman. I’m a 36 yo woman who is sick to death of our culture encouraging this.
I understand they have not aged gracefully on their own and would never choose to take extraordinary measures for myself.
As long-time entertainers, I can understand why some Cher and Georgia chose this course. Hopefully they know it’s the beauty within that’s most important.

Well that’s one of the the things with this movement, your fighting for the lives of people who would not only not do the same for you, but would undoubtedly question your right to motherhood and your child’s right to life. So year, Cher’s stupid and phony, and she is a liar, but she’s selling albums and that’s who she has decided to be, a multimillionaire, not a defender of life. She’s sold out to the culture of death, and so has most of her family.
You know, where’s the father in all of this, that’s why men are so important to child-rearing, and they have no say whether or not their child gets ‘taken care of’ in the womb.

You’d be surprised how many kids are raised by moms who kill one of their siblings in utero and who are then programmed by such guilty parents that what their parent(s) did was acceptable, okay, and, “Yeah, sure. It’s *FINE* that Mom killed my brother or sister, and my life was just as negotiable!”.
I used to love Ellens sit com but she’s gotten a bit too big for her britches since she’s had her own show . I did watch for a while finding her hilarious at times until she just over did the entire “I’m gay ” thing. Yeah Ellen we know . BTW nothing wrong with sending the ani bullying gay thing but nobody should bully anyone . And Ellen once had Jennifer Aniston on her show who complained about Perez Hilton bullying her on his site. Yet Anistons BFF is none other than Chelsea Handler one of the biggest bullies on the planet. I get it Aniston …its okay as long as people leave you alone. Ellens show should be pulled soon and Aniston needs to put Handler in check. Is anyone else’s head spinning yet?
