Pro-life vid of the day: Make 4th trimester abortion legal?
by LauraLoo
Given the recent heated battle in Texas over late-term abortion, Dan Joseph at the Media Research Center decided to see just how far those who support abortion would go when legalizing the procedure. Dan went to a college campus and asked students to sign a petition, with the goal being to show their support for legalizing 4th trimester abortion.
For those of you who failed biology, babies are born at the END of the 3rd trimester. For those of you who didn’t, watch this:

“Currently fourth trimester abortions are illegal in all 50 states,” he told students before asking them to sign his petition.
Most student responses varied from “okay” to“cool.”
One concerned student asked if the procedure would “cause harm to the child.”
“Well, the child wouldn’t be there anymore,” responded Joseph. “It’s abortion.”
That student then signed the petition.
Joseph said that after one hour he was able to garner 14 signatures.
“That is a lot for the summer because there aren’t as many people on campus,” he said in the video.

would these students qualify as low information voters?? I say yes
Susie, I think you’re being far too charitable in your description. :D
This shows how woefully ignorant some people are regarding reproduction. Apparently, their sex education classes weren’t truly comprehensive enough to include pregnancy and fetal development. Or, they are just sheep.
Peter Singer are you eating this up?
I facepalmed. This is just silly, I can’t believe people on a college campus could be so uninformed.
People will sign anything!!
But WE’RE the ones who don’t know biology??? Good grief. Pro-aborts. Not the brightest crayons in the box I see.
I love the woman who was inquiring if it would hurt the child WHILE SHE STILL SIGNED! And the one who just had a baby three months before and didn’t realize having just gone through it that there is NO fourth trimester of pregnancy!
A similar stunt was done awhile back when a prankster went on a campus getting female students to sign a petition “To End Women’s Suffrage.” Yes, woman after woman signed.
As far as what they were thinking, they must have thought 4th trimester meant 4th month.
Penn and Teller did this once – got people to sign a pledge to ban water. I love those sort of things:

Warning – there is a bad word in this – so don’t just pop it on loudly with small kids around – or be prepared to talk about biblical stories regarding donkeys.
Dihydrogen monoxide is a killer! 100% of people exposed to it will eventually die!!
When you have people whose extent of sex ed is abstinence only or “just say no” what do you expect?
Okay, very funny. Of course, it is rather easy to get college students to sign almost anything. Give them little righteous indignation at life’s unfairness or whatever and people will sign, sign, sign. Many people are more interested in being associated with the petition carrier or a cause than the petition itself…joiners rather than thinkers.
Let us not let that distract from the reality that some people actually believe in post-birth abortions right through all of infancy. I have met a few…interesting conversations to say the least.
“I can’t believe people on a college campus could be so uninformed” – indeed! Where is the college? What does sex-ed consist of in that state?
“indeed! Where is the college? What does sex-ed consist of in that state?”
Oh, I have no clue, for all I know he paid actors to pretend to be college students. I know that some people are that simple though.
I also find it rather crazy that people can’t do, like, the barest amount of research if they don’t know anything about a subject. I didn’t even go to high school, but it’s not that hard to find reliable resources to learn about stuff if you’re curious. People in this country seem to be missing that curiosity, imo.
You’re right Jack, they take their lernin’ from people like beck, bachmann, ham and other associated trash servers.
Each hour spent with a reference book, or exploring the interwebs – with checks and verifications! – delivers so much more knowledge and sense than several hours wasted on clowns like those.
This happened at George Mason University in Virginia.
I don’t see the difference between how gullible these college kids were and how otherwise intelligent people hang on every word that Obama utters.
…HOW did these people get into college? Much less, graduate high school??
I’ll respond to this later. Right now I’m watching the 6th quarter of a college football game!
Pete
How is it that before there ever was sex ed there was a much lower illegitimacy rate?
Hmm.
Could it be that insert tab A into slot B equals baby is not too complicated to grasp?

(Denise) My brother said something like that when he was a kid: “One plus one equals three — man plus woman equals baby.”
Oh man This is college ? I wouldn’t be proud to display a diploma from this college ….they basically signed for infanticide. I have an idea…lets all just kill each other! Duuuuhh
This isn’t as much about college kids or sex, but simply the overall dumbness of Americans. I mean, typically surveys should 1/3 to 1/2 of Americans would fail the test to become a US Citizen. Those are adults over 18 – not just college kids.
“How is it that before there ever was sex ed there was a much lower illegitimacy rate?” – because anyone who fell pregnant outside of marriage was promptly marched down the aisle by family.
“because anyone who fell pregnant outside of marriage was promptly marched down the aisle by family.”
Depends on the place and era. But there was also the fun possibility of taking the kid, giving it to some married couple regardless of the wishes of the bio parents, that was popular in the fifties, sixties and some of the seventies in the US. But shotgun marriages were a big thing too.
True Jack. Whichever way things went, that’s why illegitimacy rates were lower.
