Pro-life video of the day: Choosing the right path
by Hans Johnson
They say that life is change. Katie knows that well. This short film shows how, faced with the “choice” of abortion twice, she underwent a metamorphosis – one to a life of despair, and one to a life of joy and hope.

What a crock…Its too bad she didn’t abort that second little brat.
What a sad and beautiful story. I’ll admit it: I cried.
I know young people whose lives are spinning out of control. I have to wonder if abortion is the hidden pivot that turned away the hopeful lives that their parents prepared for them, as it was for Katie.
And I am so happy that she discovered the Catholic faith, and this faith was the pivot that turned her life back toward the joy and happiness that God desires for all of us.
Faithful Catholics are not pro-life because of mere imposition of some Church doctrine. Our pro-life enthusiasm comes from a deep, abiding faith that God loves us and wants us to be happy. God made us, and knows best what will make us happy. The lessons of God’s plan are taught by His Church. And so this is the Gospel that we have to share with the world… which includes a duty to work with God in defeating the injustices that frustrate His plan for our happiness. So we fight against poverty, sickness, ignorance, and genocide — because we are in Christ.
It appears we have two child-haters trolling this blog, unless Stevie is pulling a 007 here :)
Methinks Stevie had to be a brat himself -_-

Hmm, maybe he was told over and over again that he was just a “choice” and a “brat”, and now he thinks of children the same. That’s sad, Stevie. Don’t worry, pro-lifers thought you were worthwhile and intrinsically valuable even before you were born. :D
(still trying that positivity Thomas, I think I’m doing a good job!)
Steven has been here before.
I just read all of your stuff. I will never get those moments of my life back.
Yes you are DLPL, but as far as my faith – God help me please!
What a sad, amazing story! Del, you aren’t the only one who cried–I cried, too.
As far as Steven is concerned, I’m convinced his only goal is to start trouble and “stir the pot” of negativity. I’m also convinced that in his case, “denial is not just a river in Egypt” (as the saying goes). He needs prayers. God bless him.
This video made me want to hold my offspring so tight! Such a precious gift to have offspring (whether you raise the child(ren) yourself or give them up for adoption–or adopt or have your own, they are all precious gifts!)
It never ceases to astonish and sadden me how well the abortion industry has insinuated itself into the world–everyone’s lives–whether pro-life or pro-choice/pro-abortion. Decent, good, and loving people face the temptations and false promises of “easy”. What determines whether a person makes the mistake of having an abortion or not is if they buy into the lies that abortion is “easy” or recognize the lies for what they are and don’t have an abortion.
Those of us who recognize the lies choose the path of life–going through the pregnancy, giving birth (if woman, or supporting the woman giving birth if man). It may not be the “easy” way out, but doing the right thing is not always easy. Life isn’t always easy.
Classic troll…. drops in, says something inflammatory, gets us all worked up and wasting time commenting on him. Maybe he’ll be back to throw a little gasoline on the fire. Or maybe not.
Ignore him. Always ignore the troll.
I want to thank Katie and the people who worked so hard to make this beautiful film. And those who donated to the effort. Beautifully done! And by “beautiful,” I mean “touched by a grace that appeals to the heart and to the intellect.” This is a blessed work.
You will save women and children with this short movie.
I don’t get why this story is supposed to be inspirational. She had an abortion. Got knocked up again and had a baby. She was able to plan her family. Wow how incredibly boring. Because this the story of millions and millions of women. Give me a break. Abortions hurt. Sorry, its part of the procedure.
Gasoline….gasoline….

We know what you don’t know.
I didnt cry but I found it very sad when she discussed her drinking and lifestyle in attempting to punish herself. Ive read many stories off the net just like hers. It was good to watch though and in the end she finally let God in. Thank God for Rachells vineyard.
And yes im sure ive spelled that wrong.
:) Imagine my surprise when I found this video online, on Jill’s blog! Katie is a dear friend of mine (and of my wife), and she’s truly an inspiration.
