Sen. Landrieu: Ok to abort if baby can’t “live outside hospital”

by Carder Although I personally believe that life begins at conception, I believe the last place the government needs to be is in the church, in the doctor’s office or in the bedroom. And so even people who advocate for less government intrusion, like Gov. Jindal, get themselves in the most personal decisions a family […]

Father’s Day Word: “I was happy to find some of your children living in truth as the Father commanded”

Good will, mercy, and peace will be with us! They come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, who in truth and love is the Father’s Son. I was very happy to find some of your children living in the truth as the Father has commanded us. ~ II John 1:3-4, God’s Word translation

Stanek weekend vid: What does it mean to be a good dad?

by Hans Johnson The subject of fatherhood can come up anywhere at any time. There appears to be a definite trend toward fathers being more actively involved in parenting, with 89% saying paternal leave is important to them. Yet it can be quite a juggling act, so men can always use a bit of a pep […]

Stanek weekend question: With which leg of pro-life’s “3-legged stool” do you identify?

3 legged stool abortion pro-life(Be sure to take the poll at the bottom of this post!)

Abortion proponent Steph Herold has identified the “3-legged stool” of abortion:

But my investigation also solidified my belief that culture change efforts are imperative to the policy and health-care access work that our movement is doing.

Ignoring culture change to focus on policy and health care may garner some short-term wins, but leaves you without a long-term aspirational vision for change.

Atheist predicts demise of atheists due to their population decline

We atheists sometimes congratulate ourselves that the incidence of religious belief is going down. But religious people have more children. Where are people having the most children? It’s in the tropics and in Africa. It’s clearly the case that the future will involve an increase in religious populations and a decrease in scepticism. We may […]

  • At Priests for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone calls for civil disobedience in response to the recently passed New Hampshire “bubble zone” law that bans pro-lifers from coming within 25 feet of an abortion facility:

This is an unjust law, not only from the perspective of free speech, the regulation of which must be content-neutral in order to be Constitutional, but also from a perspective that is antecedent to the Constitution…. This law attempts to stop those who are trying to save human lives, and therefore violates natural justice.

Because of its injustice, and because of the teaching of the Church that calls for conscientious objection to such laws, this law has no claim on conscience and should be directly disobeyed and violated.

Pro-life vid of day: Mom rocks baby; “real miracle” occurs

wollmanby Kelli

From KELOLAND.com comes the story of Renner Wollman, who is considered by his parents and doctors to be a living, breathing miracle.

Renner was not expected to survive. In fact, doctors expected that he would be stillborn. Instead, Renner defied the odds and took a breath when he was born. Fighting for his life, things began to turn around for him when his mom, Karen, asked if she could sit and rock him. She says, “We don’t know, the doctors don’t know. They said he’s not a medical miracle, he’s a real miracle, and they don’t know why.” More from KELOLAND.com:
