Journalism prof: Abortion not difficult choice “for most women”

That-Was-Easy-Buttonby Kelli

… [E]ven supposedly “pro-choice” forces buy into the idea that shame is attached to sexual women. Abortion… is described as being a “difficult decision,” one that women struggle with if they are faced with an unwanted pregnancy. That is simply not true for most women. It’s not a difficult decision. If you don’t believe in abortion, it’s not a difficult decision because you’re not going to do it.

  • “Intellectual” Richard Dawkins told someone on Twitter that bringing a child with Down Syndrome to birth is “immoral.”
  • An Alabama abortion clinic (which couldn’t meet safety standards at its current location) has been given permission to relocate.
  • Martin Haskell’s abortion clinic in Sharonville, Ohio, is dropping its appeal. They’ll stop performing surgical abortions on Friday. The clinic apparently plans on trying to stay in business by offering RU-486 chemical abortions.

Abortion enthusiasts promote illegal abortions

During the last week of May abortion proponent Dawn Porter and members of the National Network of Abortion Funds traversed southern Texas and upper Mexico to film footage for an upcoming documentary, Trapped.

Trapped will “look at the impact of Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws in the southern United States, and their disproportionate effect on women living in poverty.”

There are currently no abortion clinics in the Rio Grande Valley, which borders Mexico. The nearest one in the U.S. is 230 miles north in San Antonio.

The group filmed themselves crossing the border to buy Misoprostol, an ulcer drug that is used off-label to induce abortions.

Misoprostol is available only by prescription in the U.S. and can only be dispensed by doctors for abortions. But it can be purchased over-the-counter in Mexico.

After the purchase, NNAF tweeted photos, along with instructions on how to use Misoprostol illegally to self-induce an abortion…

Pro-life vid of day: Abortionist to pro-lifer – “You’re a bad mother”

by Hans Johnson A project called Killers Among Us was launched last year by Created Equal. It has distributed thousands of postcards in Columbus, Ohio, alerting the public to the “work” of Mervyn and Milroy Samuel. The father and son late-term abortionists have admitting privileges at several area Catholic hospitals. Mervyn Samuel (pictured) took photos […]

Planned Parenthood CEO uses Ferguson to push abortion

Heartbroken by the events unfolding in #Ferguson?. A parent’s right to raise their child in love and safety, and to dream that their child will have every opportunity in the world to grow into a fiercely independent adult is a fundamental issue of reproductive justice. As a feminist, as an organizer, and most of all […]

  • Wesley J. Smith responds to the recent Washington Post opinion piece opposing the use of the phrase “difficult decision” to describe abortion:

With this kind of advocacy increasing, it is clear now that pro-abortionists also want Roe v. Wade overturned. Why? Roe permitted limits. In contrast – as I have written – a ruling that protects abortion as necessary to protect sexual equality would permit abortion through the ninth month – if not beyond – with the only regulations permitted being those required for basic sanitation.

After that, the next step would be to require free abortion, either paid by the state or required as coverage under Obamacare. Pro-abortionists believe that women won’t really be free until they are guaranteed the right to a dead fetus.

  • A judge in Iowa has upheld the ban on telemed/Skype abortions in the state:

The judge wrote that the medical board has significant authority to regulate such issues. “There is no question that the board has the power to establish standards of practice for the medical profession. Those standards include the authority to adopt and enforce standards regarding the minimal standards of acceptable and prevailing practice,” he wrote.

The system has remained in use while the two sides wrangled in court. The judge’s ruling is set to take effect in 30 days. A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman said her agency would file a legal appeal.

Pro-life vid of day: Pope prays at cemetery for aborted children

During Pope Francis‘ trip to South Korea, he visited the House of Hope in Kkottongnae, which cares for the elderly and disabled who were rejected by their families.

While there he saw a memorial garden of small white crosses representing children aborted because of their genetic abnormalities. He bowed his head in prayer and spoke with a pro-life activist who had no arms or legs.
