My mom has a January 1 birthday. She was the first baby born to Lynchburg, VA in… I won’t say the year, she wouldn’t be happy! But it was in the days before Falwell and Liberty University, a very small town, and Mom got in the paper for being the town’s New Year baby. I think my grandparents also got a bunch of free baby supplies. And when mom had her first birthday, the newspaper did a follow-up story.
A VERY small town.
Ah…they (the babies) had me at “Hello”… ;)
So sweet! :)
