Pro-life vid of day: Planned Parenthood laments abortion decline

Abortion appears to be in a slow, steady decline, to the dismay of advocates and media cheerleaders. Clinics that perform these “services” are also dwindling. Which would you rather have in your neighborhood? A dentist’s office or one of these so-called “women’s centers”?
Sidewalk Advocates For Life noted the recent release of a new Planned Parenthood video about “abortion stigma” and wonders: Could it be that abortion is losing favor because it is “the taking of a human life and the wounding of another”?

Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
Weren’t we told that they wanted abortion to be rare but legal? That no one likes or wants abortion, but must have the choice? That PP would end the “need” for abortion?
OK, so what’s the problem?
Even as they speak the truth, they stubbornly refuse to see it.
This sounds like someone complaining about “smokers’ stigma” and whining about the “state-mandated, medically inaccurate information” that is printed on cigarette packages.

Surgeons are required to inform their patients about all procedures they perform. If abortion is so-called “legitimate healthcare” then it needs to adhere to the SAME RULES as every other healthcare procedure does. Stop whining and join reality folks. That’s the way health care is. It has regulations, patients are required to be INFORMED. And the procedural information is not “medically inaccurate”, it’s just easier to ignore truth than to face it.
P.S. I’m pregnant and no it’s NOT my first pregnancy. And yes, it’s been difficult and yes there are plenty of obstacles, but I have learned that I’m empowered as a woman because I FACED those obstacles and fight fears rather than give into them.
Considering the quotes from abortionists elsewhere on this page and having heard and read other abortionists crow about their work, I am not too worried that they are feeling the dreaded “abortion stigma”.
My advice to a worker or client who experiences such feelings: seek counseling, go to confession, talk to a priest or other spiritual adviser. There is a good reason abortion is negatively portrayed. I am praying for you.

They left out a contributing component to the abortion-stigma problem…themselves:
Seedy, dirty clinics
Marginal doctors
Criminality and fraud
Advocating bondage
Covering up rape
Undermining parental authority
Targeting the poor and/or minorities
Supporters that chant stuff like “Hail Satan”
Dressing up as vaginas
Weirdos of every stripe
And also…millions of hurting post-abortive men and women.
The concluding solution that this video offers could appear in any prolife group’s mission statement:
“in order to transform stigma, shame, and silence into visibility, openness and empowerment.”
Visibility, Openness and Empowerment is exactly what prolifers have been yearning for and working toward since forever. Prolifers –more than anyone else– want to bring abortion out of the shadows. When people understand what abortion really is…life wins. Building up the family and supporting those in crisis is the kind of life giving empowerment people want…from CPC’s.
They say they want genuine abortion visibility and openness…let’s see if they can make shift happen.
