You do not empower girls by telling them a sacrifice is giving up a prom ticket to pay for the aborting of the life they created. You do not empower girls by turning motherhood into a burden to be avoided at all costs; even at the cost of that life itself. You do not empower girls by exploiting them to further your agendas.
Abortion will not, and should not, ever be “normal.” Because, motherhood is normal to humans and so is nurturing…. It is something of which to be proud and it should be honored, not diminished. It is an attribute and a gift, not a punishment.

Abortion left me cold, deflated and without hope for the future. It deflated my dreams. It ruined the love I felt for others and for myself. It ruined my relationship with the Church. It turned me into a person that found it easier to hate. It was only through the love of Christ, the Church and fellow pro-lifers that I was able to turn my life around. In a nutshell… I was able to LIVE again. Thank you Lori for saying all this!!!!

While I was reading I was musing how badly the badly the feminazi’s miss it.
They just don’t know.
They think they need to be more like men.
God help us.
I recalled the parable of the talents where the servant that received one talent didn’t know His Master’s true nature. He only saw the stern harshness, the severity of God and His judgment. It is job one of the Holy Spirit to convict the world of sin and the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. I believe God created lightning for that very purpose, to warn mankind of impending judgment.
But we cannot allow our fear of Him to drive us into hiding.
We must come to Him in humility and repentance, seeking His mercy and pardon, and His grace to change.
That is when we learn of His Love. That is when we learn of the true nature of God.
God’s maternal nature is hidden. He made Adam in His image. So Adam initially possessed the maternal nature of God. That is until God reached inside, close to Adam’s heart, removed a rib and formed Eve, the embodiment of His beautiful, nurturing maternal love.
The Heart of God is that the world would repent, and that none would perish.
We are reminded of this beautiful truth when we see a mother’s love for her child.

Ed, I’ve never heard the maternal nature of God’s love put quite that way before. It is quite beautiful. Where did you get it? Did you come across that idea somewhere?

Hey Lori, I don’t remember where I first heard of God and Adam having the maternal quality of His love but it was in church somewhere. When I read Lori Ziganto’s affirming quote about motherhood, it kind of “primed the pump”. I don’t think I’ve ever had an original thought :^)
I should clarify though, I implied that God’s austere side wasn’t His true nature. God is both the Judge and the Bridegroom, they are both His true nature.
If you are looking for some excellent teaching on the Love of God, I would highly recommend Mike Bickle’s Studies in the Bride of Christ, (2010). You can download it free from his website mikebickle.org. His copywrite policy is that he gives anybody that wants to the right to copy any of his materials and distribute it them however they wish.
I must say that Mike Bickle’s teaching has changed my life. It’s not just knowledge. What happens is that the truth of God’s Word becomes imparted into your heart and you find yourself totally overwhelmed and amazed at the Love of God and you can just rest in Him. And then you find yourself loving and doing things for others that you normally wouldn’t but it’s just the overflow of God’s Love out of your heart.
Two other series that have really blessed me are The Judgment Seat of Christ which is about the rewards Jesus can’t wait to give to those who have loved Him well and The First Commandment, Loving God as our Greatest Life Calling (2008).
For example, did you know that God wants us to love Him with all of our heart because that’s the way He loves us? He loves us with all of His Mind! Consider the universe…He knows how many hairs each of us has, everybody on planet Earth…He can hear and answer the prayers of millions of Christians all at the same time…how vast is the Mind of God?
