New poll/old poll
I just closed the poll that asked the question:
Now it’s Democrat readers’ turn. Be sure to vote, and then make your comments here, not on the poll website.
The stats for my last poll were….

The winners are interesting, with Fred Thompson barely beating out Ron Paul for the top spot, and the two nationwide frontrunners – Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani – coming in 6th and 7th respectively.
Conservatives are clearly drifting. On the topic of conservative coronation are two interesting columns with opposite views:
“Fred Sawyer and Huckabee Finn,” by Ann Coulter, October 10
“It’s Huckabee or Hillary,” by Janet Folger, October 9
I will be live blogging from the Family Research Council’s Washington Briefing this Friday and Saturday, at which most of the Republican presidential candidates, including Giuliani, will speak, and which will host its first ever straw poll. I have a feeling conservative thoughts will begin to gel after the straw poll.
Back to the previous poll, click to enlarge this map and find your little flag.

Jill,
How many people voted?
“I suppose so.”
~ Dr. Kate Guthrie, senior member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, responding to a Daily Mail reporter’s ponderance that perhaps a fetus is just “too much of a baby” as to why she won’t commit abortions beyond 20 weeks.
Gotta love her commitment!
MK, 531. See upper right corner of results.
Duh!
Thanks.
What a great bunch of Democratic choices. I voted for Obama, but I’d be happy with Biden, Richardson, Edwards, and yes, even Hillary.
I’m very excited about the 08 election.
I have trouble thinking anyone from the senate can lead effectively. They start off owing favors to everyone and they haven’t been in the exec position before. Whether Dem. or Rep. I think being a governor is better preparation for president than senator.
The last senator elected president was JFK.
What do people think of Sam Brownback?
“What do people think of Sam Brownback?”
Right wing religious nut. (but you probably weren’t directing that question to me)

Yep, a bunch of socialist anti-American pro-aborts marching in lockstep with each other. What a wonderful crew.

“Right wing religious nut” is lib-speak for “Patriotic American Christian”.
And “socialist anti American pro aborts” is neo con speak for free thinking, pro choice Democrat.

Actually, there’s a major difference between the two.
In fact, that last half can apply to a number of liberal Democrats, except to you thats a no no, or impossible. You’re just all too willing to accept anything someone from the right says or does.
That is until they’re found to be a giant hypocrit, but thats a whole ‘nother story
Then they’re sent to Dr. Dobson’s “un-gay-ification” camp for people with “alcohol problems”……….

Ooooooooooh!
Dr. Dobson’s Homo No ‘Mo Camp!
You too can be as straight as Ted Haggard!
lmfao Laura and Keller
oh, and it seems I didn’t put who I support yet.
I’m rooting for Obama. And I honestly don’t want Hilary to win. Most of it has to do with the fact that if she wins the primary, the Right actually has a chance at the presidency. She’s way too divisive a figure.
And I just agree with Obama more in my views, lol
Brownback is too much of a wingnut to represent any real chance to win.

People who use the word “socialist” either (a) synonymously with “communist” or (b) as an insult should really educate themselves either (a) with non-biased material or (b) at all.
Jill: polls are my favorite. I wish you would update them more often!
Leah said: “People who use the word “socialist” either (a) synonymously with “communist” or (b) as an insult should really educate themselves either (a) with non-biased material or (b) at all.”
Allow me to educate you. A “socialist” is someone who advocates massive economic control of society through the government, especially the federal government. Every single Democrat candidate wants to greatly increase the economic power of the federal government, and thus at the very least has socialistic tendencies.
A “Communist” is someone who advocates the complete government control of the economy. As far as I know, none of the Democrats running for president are full Communists.

Socialists are hardly free thinkers; they’re certainly more of a hive mind than most Christians. “Pro-choice”, huh? Like on the issues of school choice, school prayer, and free political speech (Fairness Doctrine, McCain-Feingold)? Not. I’m glad to see that you associate the word “anti-American” with the word “Democrat”, though. It’s more appropriate every day.
