It is still too early for a final judgment on the outcome of the ObamaCare bills but it is ironic that if Sen. Ben Nelson fails in his attempt to put Stupak abortion funding restrictions in the Senate version of the bill (as expected) and then has the integrity to vote to block the bill on a motion to bring it to the floor (as hoped), Nebraska will have produced America’s most notable pro-life hero in the person of Ben Nelson and in its most despicable baby-killer in the person of Leroy Carhart.

For the Cornhusker State, these could end up being the best of times and the worst of times.
