I love it when Newt rips on the media, and they just keep asking for it!
It’s also fun watching Tom Friedman stumble all over himself, but yet seem so proud at the end of his responses to have formed a single sentence.
Newt full of passion is fantastic; very few can mount better arguments.
He understands the issues very well and the GOP are fortunate that he is on their side.
I honestly have not been able to take him seriously since I found out he suggested the death penalty for people smuggling a drug like marijuana.
It is so distressing to see the tactics used by the media to disregard the truth. Instead of engaging Newt Gingrich’s comments, Tom Friedman asserts his affiliation as a democrat and supporter of Planned Parenthood, but does not address the gruesomeness of the Democratic Party’s platform on abortion. The War on Women began with radical feminism and is really a War on Women and their Children which President Obama and the Democratic Party has embraced. I watched Michelle Obama talk at the DNC about the unconditional love and sacrifices her father and President Obama’s mother had to make so their own lives could be better.. Their support of abortion on demand seems to fly in the face of this. How are they helping women and their unborn child to do the same- to make sacrifices and have unconditional love for the children they are carrying? Is offering free abortifacients to vulnerable pregnant women giving their children hope of a better future? No, women are being seduced into being defined with a “right” to kill their own child. How can we not see that it is a women’s right to protect our unborn children at all costs? This is unconditional love and sacrifice.
If I am willing to do anything to protect my child after he’s born, why would I not be willing to do anything to protect him BEFORE he’s born????
People have got to emphasize that which separates us from other animals: the intellect. Place more emphasis on that instead of sexuality and other passions.
I am happy to see Newt stare in the eyes of liberal journalists and tell them like it is. These abortion-loving, politically correct as well as egotistical socialists need to know that we won’t stand for their platforms at all. Let them renounce their citizenship and climb on the next plane to Russia so that they can enjoy their communistic and socialistic lives with their fellow supporters.
Tom Friedman is a joke of an economist. He thinks China is just wonderful because they eased up ever so slightly on communism. No wonder he has nothing to say on abortion but the straight Party line.
I guess all those free junkets to China has affected all his politics.
Newt Gingrich points out that the democRAT party platform calls for taxpayer funded abortions in the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy and that b o has voted 4 times NOT to extend the equal protection of the law to infants who survived the abortionists first attempt on their lives.
Gingrich says the democRATs could not defend the extremity of that position if the media focused as much attention on it as they did on their idea of the ‘extreme’ positions of the republicans.
Thomas Friedman: “I am a Planned Parenthood democRAT on the issue of choice and I think that is where the country should be and that is where many, many women are. And I am glad there are people running for the presidency who will defend that position. Period, paragraph, end”…
“I do believe that is a defensible position, but I am here as a’journalist.. I will let the democRATs defend it.”
[Friedman does not dispute Gingrich’s points. The Planned Parenthood democRAT ‘journalist’ makes not the slightest effort to do so. To the contrary, the self professed democRAT Friedman proudly embraces them.]
I actually prefer to get all my news online these days, and won’t touch any “news network” with a 10 foot pole due to their bias. I’m not religious, Marvin…do you still recommend I watch Fox News?

I’m pro-life because my daughter’s father wanted me to abort her and I think she should’ve had the right to live regardless of what either of her parents thought, just like all the other thousands of children who are killed because their parents want it to be so. That’s not being a “control freak”, that’s fighting for basic human rights for a group of human beings. So please, please, PLEASE talk to me, little man! if you had sex with a woman and got her pregnant would you feel any responsibility for the unborn child or would you feel no responsibility until the child was born?

I’ve always considered myself pro-life based on intellectual arguments in favor of that position. However, I’m experiencing some real cognitive dissonance after reading Marvin’s novel and insightful arguments both critiquing the top pro-life arguments as well adequately defending the pro-choice position. The idea that ‘because there is a logical possibility that Cardinal Dolan may have been involved in pedophile cover ups implies that abortion is morally permissible’ seems to me like it will go down in history as one of the great arguments in favor of abortion, right next to Judith Jarvis Thompson’s violinist analogy. My entire life is going to have to change now.

Perhaps, but now that I’ve talked to my daughter about the issue, she’d really appreciate it if we passed laws so that her continued living wouldn’t have been reduced down to a mere “choice” on my part, and that no other child had to lose their life in the name of their mother’s “choice”.
