  • American Life League’s Judie Brown says that in our society, Granny might be better protected if she were an animal instead of a human:

It becomes clearer every day that if Granny were not a human being, her chances of being protected from evil acts designed to take her life would be far better….

So we have to ask how it is that the chimpanzees Hercules and Leo will have their day in court, but Granny can feel free to either exit on her own terms or wait for a doctor or nurse to authorize her death because she signed a form allowing others to make life and death decisions for her. Human beings are expendable; chimpanzees are not? Something is incredibly wrong with this picture.

Planned Parenthood New Orleans building contractor fined for violations, work stopped

Two contractors have been cited for violations in Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s latest woe while attempting to construct a new abortion clinic in New Orleans.

Planned Parenthood didn’t report 911 call to state because hemorrhaging “not unusual”

ambulance091609Planned Parenthood Keystone had a novel excuse for failing to report the ambulance transfer of a patient to the Pennsylvania  Department of Health, as required by law.

When DOH inspected Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Allentown abortion clinic on February 27, 2014, it was surprised to learn a patient had begun hemorrhaging after her abortion on March 15, 2013, and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

PA Planned Parenthood reschedules abortions to dodge inspectors

health-inspection-checklistsAn informant from the Planned Parenthood Keystone affiliate in Pennsylvania has slipped me some fascinating new documents.

Recall Pennsylvania is the home of infanticide abortionist Kermit Gosnell, convicted  in May 2013 of first degree murder in the deaths of three babies and involuntary manslaughter of a patient.

In reality, Gosnell likely “snipped” the spinal cords of hundreds if not thousands of babies he aborted alive over three decades but was never caught. The state simply stopped inspecting abortion clinics “for political reasons,” according to the Gosnell Grand Jury Report. Gosnell’s heinous crimes were only discovered by accident when the FBI raided his clinic for writing illegal drug prescriptions.

Republican Gov. Tom Corbett began righting the wrongs by firing negligent state workers and enacting annual state inspections and surprise random inspections.

So, either an annual state inspection was scheduled at the Planned Parenthood Allentown abortion clinic for Friday, March 21, or someone on the inside gave PP a heads up about an unannounced inspection, but here’s the memo PP distributed to staff:

  • Wesley J. Smith adeptly points out that a “die-and-get-out-of-the-way” rationing campaign has already begun in the U.S.

Liberal New York Times writer Bill Keller recently demeaned popular blogger Linda Bonchek Adams and her fight against cancer. Keller’s advice? Stop trying to give “false hope” to people and enter hospice already. Smith says everyone should be appalled by this attitude:

Here is what I believe is going on behind the curtains: There is a great effort underway at the highest level of the ruling and intellectual classes to devalue the struggle to stay alive. Part of it is utilitarian ideology – the idea that society can define a life not worth living. Indeed, we have seen open advocacy in bioethics for a “duty to die.”

Former employee spills beans on unsanitary Planned Parenthood clinic

“Why do Planned Parenthood’s abortion centers get all the money while non-abortion centers fall apart?”

Lola* knew the answer to her question but was using it to educate me about the StroudsburgPennsylvania, Planned Parenthood clinic that she, along with several other staff members, recently quit in disgust.

Lola emailed me a couple days ago, having learned about my blog, ironically enough, from bosses who mocked it during meetings. “We read your stuff and thought you were all crazy,” Lola said. “But not any more.”

  • Notorious abortionist Stephen Brigham has opened an abortion clinic in Philadelphia. Brigham’s presence has pushed other abortion providers to send an alert to the state.

The new clinic, Integrity Family Health, is on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. The state Department of Health did an initial inspection and issued a permit, called a registration, eight weeks ago, then added the facility to its online list of abortion clinics in the Keystone State.

The new clinic’s connections to Brigham are circumstantial but were enough to concern some longtime critics of his operations – in this case, other abortion providers….

Then they called the toll-free number for Brigham’s multistate abortion company, American Women’s Services, and found that appointments were being made for Integrity Family Health. They also got Integrity’s prices, directions, and heard a recorded abortion-counseling message.

Then they alerted state health officials.

Mississippi’s last remaining abortion clinic’s last hope: the courts

We all rely too heavily on the court system, but at this stage of the game it’s our only hope. ~ Diane Derzis, owner of Jackson Women’s Health Organization, as quoted by The Guardian, January 24. JWHO is Mississippi’s last remaining abortion clinic and has been notified by the state Department of Health that it […]
