Pro-life blog buzz 5-5-15

  • Culture Campaign comments on self-professed Satanist name “Mary” who claims the Missouri waiting period is preventing her from exercising her religious belief “that her body is subject to her will alone.” (I wonder how they square this with other laws in society which restrict individual rights.) Of course, Mary and the Satanists have the full support of abortion advocates. A fund has been established so “Mary” can have an abortion ASAP at the only remaining abortion clinic in MO, Planned Parenthood of St. Louis – which is not exactly known for it’s great track record on safety.

San Francisco afraid to enforce buffer zone ordinance; Planned Parenthood ticked

Planned Parenthood abortion clinic angry San Francisco won't enforce buffer zone law against pro-life activists

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s June 26 decision striking down Massachusetts’ 35-foot buffer zone law, the City of San Francisco has become squishy about enforcing its buffer zone ordinance, ticking off Planned Parenthood in the process.

San Francisco’s ordinance, which bans abortion opponents from entering a 25-foot line of demarcation around abortion clinics, is “virtually identical” to Massachusetts’ now voided law, minus 10 feet.

Now, San Francisco pro-life activists are allegedly feeling their oats and defying the ordinance by crossing the line.

Stanek weekend question: What flavor ice cream would Planned Parenthood be?

zombie-ice-cream-truck for planned parenthood abortion industry leader

Yesterday, liberal site Wonkette revealed that even abortion supporters subliminally connect Planned Parenthood to abortion, despite all their conscious denials, when it posted the above photo, labeled “zombie-ice-cream-truck” with the following article, which got it in a bit of trouble with Planned Parenthood:

Abortion clinic buffer zones crumble around the country

Two weeks after the Supreme Court ruled that Massachusetts’ protective buffer zone around abortion clinics violates the free speech rights of protesters, four other buffer zones around the country have already disappeared or been challenged in court. The City Council of Portland, Maine, repealed its 39-foot buffer zone around a women’s health clinic this week, […]

  • Another former employee of Planned Parenthood of Delaware is set to testify about the dangerous practices at their clinic:

Former manager Melody Meanor and two nurses said they will testify today at a legislative hearing in Wilmington that Planned Parenthood failed to inform as many as 200 women that they tested positive for gonorrhea and chlamydia, and failed to notify 87 women of results of their colposcopies.

Stanek wkend question: Should pro-lifers feel responsible for businesses negatively impacted by protests at nearby abortion clinics?

Don’t forget to vote in the poll at the bottom of this post!

In January Jivin J reported on pro-abortion Portland, Maine, businessman Mike Fink, who began sponsoring counterprotests and offering free food to abortion supporters who rallied against pro-lifers protesting in front of the Planned Parenthood next door to his restaurant.

But Fink has decided to throw in the towel. According to the Portland Daily Sun, May 6:

Teacher escorted off campus for opposing Planned Parenthood

[Apparently], it is much more important for the school to have Planned Parenthood at Benson than it is to have a teacher teach computer science and math. ~ High school teacher Bill Diss (pictured), who was escorted by police out of his classroom at Benson High School in Portland, Oregon, last week because of […]
