GOP Leader promises vote redux on 20-week abortion ban; May 7 protest remains scheduled

In a “pen-and-pad sit-down” with reporters today, Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is circling back around for a vote. According to Roll Call: McCarthy also said he intended to bring up three measures Republicans pulled from the floor earlier this Congress: a bill banning most abortions after 20 […]

  • At Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, Reggie Littlejohn shares a WND article which questions the supposed “easing” of China’s One-Child Policy:

“The core of the problem is not whether the government is allowing one child or two children,” Reggie Littlejohn… told WND on Wednesday.

“The government is still telling how many children people can have and is enforcing that limit with coerced abortions,” she said. “And it’s not clear to me that there are fewer abortions. Women and babies still are dying.”

Littlejohn pointed out China still requires a birth permit for the first child and for the second child.

“Without a permit, there still are forced abortions, unless you’re rich enough to buy your way out,” she said.

Pro-life protest of Speaker Boehner, Part 2

2015-04-09_1359

On March 25 I was one of eight people arrested outside Speaker Boehner’s office in Washington, DC, as we protested the House GOP’s failure to pass the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act two months after they had failed to pass it on the day they’d promised to pass it.

One of our two goals was to get movement on this 20-week abortion ban, when movement had otherwise stalled by all outward appearances (the other goal being to refocus attention back on the 20-week-plus preborn baby, who feels the excruciating pain of being torn limb from limb when aborted).

VIDEO: Homeowner gone wild steals, destroys pro-life signs

uvs150206-003 2What is it about photos of abortion victims that enrages people so much?

On February 4, a homeowner gone wild attacked a team of Created Equal’s young pro-life activists who were demonstrating outside Beechcroft High School in Columbus, Ohio, as school was being dismissed.

Video of the incident shows the man, identified as Curtis Hall, crossing the street to berate Created Equal’s Josh Bertsch and Jami Beer (pictured with police officer below left and middle) before stealing and destroying their signs.

Hall shouted, “Get ’em out of here or I am going to break ’em.” He proceeded to knock signs over and take three, which he carried across the street and broke before throwing them in front of traffic.

Here’s video of the episode (WARNING: offensive language)…

My big take-away from attending a pro-choice rally

image (7)I was afforded a unique opportunity on January 24 to unobtrusively observe a pro-choice rally.

I had been invited to speak in Austin by Texas Right to Life at a two-day conference for pro-life college students, which intersected on Saturday afternoon with the annual Texas Rally for Life.

Almost bizarrely, the pro-life rally was held on the south lawn of the capitol building at the same time a pro-abortion rally was held on the north lawn.

So, since I’ve attended quite a few pro-life rallies in my time, I thought I’d check out the other side’s.

Pro-choice couple goes around mocking pro-life protests

by Carder The duo creates homemade signs that have literally nothing to do with abortion, instead the posters are meant to deride the pro-lifers’ mission with senseless signs like “I Like Turtles,” “Jesus Slays” or “Honk if You’re Horny.” … In one blog post, the pro-choice wife is pictured holding a sign that reads “Bring […]
