A parting note from Susie:

I have co-authored the Blog Buzz (formerly called Proliferations) for five years. Time flies when you are having fun. I can think of no better movement to dedicate your life to than protecting the sanctity of all human life. Congratulations to Jill as she starts on a new venture in a new season of her life. I have learned so much from contributing to this blog and hope the readers will look for ways they too can take a stand for life in their own sphere of influence. As Jill did not seek the spotlight years ago, she did not shrink from the cause when it came to her. Look what she has done! We all have a sphere of influence and a talent. How exciting to see what we can do when we use our God-given talents. You may surprise yourself. Join the cause and press on.

For Life,
Susie Allen

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli Wesley J. Smith discusses a man sentenced to life in prison in Tennessee who has asked to be euthanized so he can donate his organs to his parents. Smith points out that while this won’t happen for a variety of reasons yet in […]

  • Wesley J. Smith comments on the new California bill that would require pro-life pregnancy resource centers to refer clients for abortions. California already opts out of abortion reporting and allows abortions to be performed by non-physicians. If you thought they couldn’t get any worse, you would be wrong. From AB 775:

    (a) A licensed covered facility shall disseminate to clients on site the following notice in English and in the primary threshold languages for Medi-Cal beneficiaries as determined by the State Department of Health Care Services for the county in which the facility is located.

    (1) The notice shall state: “California has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive family planning services (including all FDA-approved methods of contraception), prenatal care, and abortion for eligible women. To determine whether you qualify, contact the county social services office at [insert the telephone number].

  • Saynsumthn’s Blog writes of another 911 call from an abortion clinic – this time in Bakersfield, California. The abortionist on duty at the time was Karen Mann, who is also believed to have been the doctor on duty in March when a husband “was forced to call 911 to get help for his wife after her abortion at that facility.”

  • At Women’s Rights without Frontiers, Reggie Littlejohn shines a light on another problem in China – baby trafficking. 37 babies were recently rescued from a baby-selling ring:

According to CNN, human traffickers were recruiting pregnant women in the area willing to sell their babies and hid them in the factory until they gave birth. Then, after the women had their babies, they gave the newborns over to the traffickers and left.

A Chinese police official, Chen Shiqu, said that the incident is a “new criminal pattern” in which child traffickers take pregnant women to a specific place to give birth. Currently, police have 103 people in custody who are suspected of selling or buying children.

  • At Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, Reggie Littlejohn shares a WND article which questions the supposed “easing” of China’s One-Child Policy:

“The core of the problem is not whether the government is allowing one child or two children,” Reggie Littlejohn… told WND on Wednesday.

“The government is still telling how many children people can have and is enforcing that limit with coerced abortions,” she said. “And it’s not clear to me that there are fewer abortions. Women and babies still are dying.”

Littlejohn pointed out China still requires a birth permit for the first child and for the second child.

“Without a permit, there still are forced abortions, unless you’re rich enough to buy your way out,” she said.

  • Saynsumthn’s Blog shows the unintentional hilarity of some pro-choicers who thought they’d mock pro-life beliefs by writing “Not a chicken” on unfertilized Easter eggs.

  • At Students for Life, Kristan Hawkins wonders what Michael Voris’ point was when he created an error-filled video which makes dubious claims about abortion and the pro-life movement. Hawkins says Voris is “irresponsible” and using “faulty logic” to claim “abortion numbers aren’t declining,” among other things. Hawkins backs up her rebuttal with links to the facts:

Not citing any sources, he proclaimed that chemical abortions aren’t tracked and comprise a quarter of all abortions. Therefore, he said, these must be added to the million+ abortions every year, which basically comes out to a number that shows abortions are not declining.

While Voris appears to make a convincing case in his six-minute video, he is wrong.
