  • Americans United for Life shares a press release detailing notable pro-life legislative successes this year.
  • At ProWomanProLife, Andrea Mrozek discusses why she believes the Pill is still so popular despite it being “anti-feminist”:

I believe it is because it is very much promoted in med schools which look to pharmaceuticals for solutions. Doctors are schooled first, later wined and dined by pharmaceutical companies. They are not schooled or wined and dined by Creighton practitioners, for example.

  • Coming Home says the ACLU certainly has fallen far from protecting civil liberties, as they are now defending sex-selective and eugenic abortion of the disabled:

Having abandoned the protection of the weakest among us and championing the “rights” of those who prey upon the weak, the ACLU has gutted itself. In championing the right to murder little girls for being little girls, and for championing the murder of the genetically imperfect, the ACLU has become indistinguishable from the slaveholding and segregationist class it once despised and against whom it found its organizational identity.

Such is the malevolent power of abortion to corrupt.

Columnist: Sex selection abortion “the Achilles heel of feminism”

Sex-selective abortion is the Achilles heel of feminism. A systematic culling of embryos on the basis of sex ridicules the very notion of “choice,” particularly since it is well known that abortion according to cultural prejudices often leaves no practical choice to the pregnant woman at all. She takes her abortion orders from her patriarchal […]

  • In the New York Post, Scott Gottlieb has a column on how Obamacare, while granting free contraceptives to women, actually takes away real life-saving screenings and care for women.

Biased MSM bashes pro-life-no-exceptions view, ignores opposite

[C]onsider that Gallup reports that 52% of Americans support some restrictions on abortion, and an additional 20% think it should be illegal in all circumstances. That’s nearly three-quarters of the population saying they support at least some restrictions on abortion. Only 25% share President Obama’s view that abortion should be legal for any reason at […]

Todd Akin, imperfect hero

Which is worse, slavery or rape?

Answer: Neither. They’re equally despicable atrocities committed by humans against fellow humans.

Last week Joe Biden violated a sacred pain of black Americans by recklessly comparing Republican control of the presidency to a return to slavery. Worse, he attempted black dialect, y’all, to do so.

Biden took some heat for his insensitive remark, but President Obama and Democrats stood by him.

Four days ago Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin made a problematic remark about rape victims, and Republicans promptly threw him under the bus.

  • Big Blue Wave reprints an essay on abortion entitled, “The Cause of Life Can’t be Severed from the Cause of Freedom,” written by WI Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s pick for Republican VP candidate.

Pro-lifers, we need to get busy supporting this ticket.

  • Kelly Clinger discusses a recent viral photo (pictured left) of a woman waiting to abort her 20-week twin girls (because she wanted boys) at the Orlando Women’s Center. The photo has received mixed reactions – mostly disbelief and horror that procedures like it are legal and occurring every day here in America. Perhaps this horror is a starting point to help people understand that early abortion is no different – it’s just a matter of size.
  • Father Frank Pavone discusses the reasons why he believes the Catholic Church’s invitation to President Obama to attend the Al Smith Dinner in October is “not appropriate at this time.”

Planned Parenthood and Barack Obama both responsible for death of Tonya Reaves

Over the weekend the mainstream media was surprisingly forthcoming in reporting the tragic death of a mother following her second trimester abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood, revealing her name, age, and the name of her surviving son. Also sad was news that she had an identical twin. From CBS Chicago:

Tonya Reaves, 24, died late Friday night from a hemorrhage, with a cervical dilation and evacuation, as well as an intrauterine pregnancy as contributing causes, according to the medical examiner’s office.

She died after she’d had an abortion at Planned Parenthood at 18 S. Michigan Av, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Her death was ruled an accident, but the Reaves family wants to know more, especially Tonya’s twin sister Toni.

“We were born the same day. She was my other half,” Toni said….

Toni Reaves said her sister was engaged to be married and had one son – Alvin – who just had his first birthday.

The Daily Mail went so far as to (sort of) describe the type of abortion procedure Reaves underwent:
