I’d be willing to be that they were never planning on having this BBQ anyway. Probably just another PR stunt to make it look like “they are the nice guys in the neighborhood”, were just trying to do “good for the city again” and the bad, bad city & pro-lifers obstruct them from doing all of their “good”. Too transparent for me!!!!

Is this a random letter of complaint from an attorney (Mr. Tessitore) to the buildings and permits department of the city of Aurora? Or is this an Attorney hired by the city? Looks like the first…………

That’s right!
One local Boys & Girls club is an a building that has no occupancy permit. They moved in about four years ago when their original clubhouse burned in a massive fire. The city has a “no harm, no foul” policy when it comes down to this kind of thing.
The kind of people who pursue this kind of thing are the same ones who whine when you leave your trashcans at the curb overnight after the trash pickup.
No occupancy permit?
Next thing you know it’ll be January 1st, and they’ll still have their Christmas lights up!

Now, if they try to water their lawn on an even day, you might have something to complain about…
And don’t you think they’d have winter festival lights anyway? They can leave those up til march 21st!

School is killing me!!
Here is something that worries me. Someone at the Monday PP vs Aurora court case said that the Aurora attorney acted almost as if he wanted PP to win. The Judge had to actually coach the attorney as to what he should be doing. When the Judge offered to give the City seven days to provide more evidence he was requesting, the Aurora attorney said – no thanks, 24 hours is enough time. The Judge was very suprised and asked him again. Is the City intentionally hoping that PP wins so they can say – look the courts have ruled and there is nothing we can do now? We need to make sure the City of Aurora is agressively persuing these court cases. Did anyone else get the same impression on Monday.

oh – I’m sorry! When I got really stressed out at school I would always hope for a thunderstorm. A friend of mine and I would run around in the rain and stomp in the puddles. We would make bets as to how long it would take from the lightening strike to the thunder. It was fun.
Of course there was the one time that we did this and I had mud and dirt all over me when we got in. I lived in the dorms and I was the furthest room from the bathroom/showers. While I was in the shower the friend I had been in the rain with me took my clothes, towel and glasses out of the shower room. I had nothing to cover up with and had to get back to my room! So I took the shower curtain down and wraped it around me (gross!) and started walking to my room. I am blind as a bat without my glasses, but I noticed that something was hanging from the light fixtures that were in the hallway. When I got to my room and got my glasses, I discovered that my “friends” had taped some of my bra’s and underwear to the light fixtures.
Hopefully my embarrassing story will help the stress level a bit. Maybe a good laugh? Everyone one my floor had a good laugh. I did too once I got all my “unmentionables” back in the room and got dressed.

I had some dogwood trees that had grown up in a thick stand of other trees, and, competing for sunlight, they grew vastly tall and spindly.
Got rid of all the others, and cut the dogwoods way back, to the point that they were just “poles” five feet tall, no branches at all. The first year they sent out sprouts and little new branches, and after 5 or 6 years are now nicely-shaped trees.
My wife put up some of the tiny white lights in them 4 years ago, and they’re still there.
