Haha love it. So true.
Good morning, Bethany!
I think many people are operating under the assumption that people who make more money do because they work harder than the people who work for a fraction of that. From my experience it is the opposite.
Since it’s Halloween let’s talk about Hawthorne’s, “Young Goodman Brown” (such a true New England scary story). The devil is talking to the Puritans who came to his Satanic mass and he begins to talk to the young women, “… and how fair damsels-blush not, sweet ones!-have dug little graves in the garden, and bidden me, the sole guest, to an infants funeral.”
How do you feel about the fact that the women sought out the devil by having abortions? How do you feel about the fact that these people did privately what they condemned publicly? Do you feel this is still true today under the maxim, :the only moral abortion is my abortion”?
The first time I was going to go trick-or-treating I became very sick and spent the night in the emergency room. I wasn’t able to go trick-or-treating and I felt really sad, but then my sister shared her candy with me and I felt a lot better : )
How about a Halloween cartoon where the o’bama knocks on the door of a bordello (Bright red porch light).
What kind of look would you put on the face of the madam, when the o’bama says, ‘Trick or Treat?’
Thats kind of like a heads I win, tails you lose, coin toss.
Is the glass half empty or half full? Depends on whether you are buying or selling.
I wonder how the madam would characterize the o’bama wealth redistribution plan: Trick or treat?
Probably depends on what her reportable income is and how many employees she has.
Some body call Joe the Plumber or Tito the Builder or Joe the Senator and get their take on this
Get a grip, people. Obama’s tax plan would simply return tax rates for those making over $250,000 per year to the same rates they paid during the Clinton years. Remember when we were close to balancing the budget? McCain himself once agreed that the wealthiest should carry more of the staggering debt burden, and this is even more true since it’s nearly doubled under Bush’s moronic policies. What is it now, 10 or 11 trillion?

‘I think many people are operating under the assumption that people who make more money do because they work harder than the people who work for a fraction of that. From my experience it is the opposite.’
————————————————-
It is not just about working harder, but working smarter/wiser. Being willing to take risks and learning from your mistakes/failures.
Wealth is kind of like love. Just because you have more does not mean that someone else has to have less. (This is the flawed economic model of the liberal/left.) Just because I may love someone else more, does not mean I have to love everyone else less.
Wealth without love is the greatest poverty of all. Killing your children in the misplaced hope that you will be able to acquire happiness is a counter productive, self distructive strategy.
if it was a Republican being posted, they would say—” AHHHHH…That’s all the candy you get dear children–I am freazing the candy budget and going to cut all the programs that help you and your friends…and let me take away healthcare for pooor children and tell your parents to just work harder…”
I love how everyone wants to turn the dems into the selfish ones… when really, the truth in the matter is more people will be served…
and the rich will just stay rich..
ugh.

You obviously haven’t listened to the top economists that say Obama’s plans will put us 1 trillion in debt.
Also, remember the old saying “Those who are ignorant of history….” do you REALLY not remember Clinton promising tax cuts just as Obama is and two months after he was in office not only was he not giving the cuts but INCREASING taxes to those he promised the cuts?
Obama cannot (and has even stated) bring his policies to fruition as they are now stated. He has admitted he’ll have to “revise” his plans – but won’t say what’s going to go. My bet – the tax cuts “to 95% of Americans!”
Did you hear the one about B. Obama taking the little princess’s candy away on Halloween night? The little girl could be heard saying through tears, “but Mr. Obama, it’s only a costume”!!!!
:-)
Again, Kristen, if Obama follow Clinton’s example, we’ll be in much better fiscal shape than we’ve been for the past 8 years.
I still support McCain because of the abortion issue, but that doesn’t mean I buy the whole Republican package.
Does Obama really have a plan?
I heard him on an interview last night with Rachel on MSNBC saying how he’s going to make it easier for people to buy stamps at the post office “using todays technology” rather than having to wait in line.
Do we really need the President to be concerned about that?
Janet, it was an “example.” He’s trying to make government more efficient and more responsive to the needs of the people. Post Office is one place, Amtrak would be good, and there are probably a 1000 other ways we could move into the 21st century.
I’m glad you’re watching MSNBC

Huck,
When you think of or see the o’bama just picture Bill ‘I will still respect you in the mornin’ Clinton with an Hawaiian Tropic Tan. Would not want you to lose perspective.
Bill ‘Bombing Belgrade, transferring missle targeting technology to the communist Chinese government, not having sex with that woman, Ms Lewinsky, executive ordering no mining largest known deposit of low sulfur content coal (LSCC) in whole world, located in Utah, which as a result allowed the Bill Clinton supporter Riyadhi of Indonesia (muslim nation) with the second largest known deposit of (LSCC) in the world unchallenged access to that market. Probably increased the Riyadhi family fortune of over a billion dollars considerably.
Wonder if any of that money has made it into the o’bama campaign war chest?
Does Obama really have a plan?
Janet, as far as the economy in general neither candidate can do much at all.
Happy Hallowe’en, everybody.

Hal,
Janet, it was an “example
Pretty lame. Could you imagine Ronald Reagan or Clinton telling a reporter he was going to shorten lines at the post office if he were elected?
*Doesn’t Obama know you can already print stamps on the computer at home or order them and have them mailed to you?
Re MSNBC – Last night Rachel made fun of the mentally ill woman who had claimed someone carved a “B” in her cheek. It was so sad, just mean. She should be on SNL or do stand up, not “real” cable news.
“…there are probably a 1000 other ways we could move into the 21st century.”
We’re there Hal, although Obama doesn’t want you to realize it so he can take credit for bringing you there come 2012.
*Doesn’t Obama know you can already print stamps on the computer at home or order them and have them mailed to you?
Does McCain even know there are long lines at the Post Office?
Hal,
I wouldn’t know.
