During such reports, the so-called journalist involved acts like demonstrations of this sort are somehow new and have taken on inflammatory rhetoric never before seen in this country.

Not too long ago, taking to the streets to protest your government was considered a patriotic act…. But it seems that publicly airing your grievances stopped being patriotic right around noon on January 20th, 2009. Once President Obama was sworn in, protesting became incitement to violence….
If there is such a thing as dangerous rhetoric, then the media is at least one president too late in reporting the story.

Breitbart offerred a reward of $100,000 to anyone who could produce a video recording of people calling Barney Frank a faggot or any of the democRAT congressman ‘nigger’ or anyone spitting on them.
If there were such a video or audio recording, the democRATs would have already posted it and it would have gone viral.
I am disappointed in Bob Scheiffer. He is an old school journalists who knows what integrity is. Sadly he is repeating hearsay as fact without bothering require independent verification first.
None of the other members of the johnny come lately drive by lame scream lap dog media can still shock me with their advocacy. I am still surprised now and again by their the blatancy of their behavior.
Keith Blowharderman, Sissy Matthews and RaiseHell Maddcoww are comentators so they are free to express their opinions, but they are such transparent duplicitous hypocrits.

In my earlier post I wrote “neither Rush Limbaugh nor the myriad of opposing Think Tanks will ever prevent them [the MSM] one iota…” By that I meant that neither Rush nor The Heritage Foundation’s “wisdom” will overcome the effectiveness of MSM in destroying Republicans and promoting Democrat Socialism. Lack of wisdom may be our problem, but it’s the kind that comes from fear of God and not from human intellect.
I certainly don’t dispute John Lewis and don’t consider him a liar.
I don’t think all tea party folks are evil – but it doesn’t take too long to find pictures and signs that could be considered racist. Again, it doesn’t discount the party-goers – but I think it is foolish to say it isn’t out there.

When Jesse Jackson offered to prune B.O.’s cajones was that to be taken seriously as a threat against B.O. because the B.O. is half caucasian?

Was Clinton’s comment to Ted Kennedy that Obama would have been serving us (the Clintons?) coffee a year earlier a racist comment?
Oh, and speaking of the good Rev. Jackson, I distinctly recall his referring to NYC residents and the city as “Hymies” and “Hymietown”. The good reverend tried to lie his way out of it, proclaimed an attack of amnesia, but was forced to own up to it only because a reporter caught it on tape.
Let’s not forget Dan Blather and his comment to Sis (tingle up my leg) Matthews about Obama’s inability to sell watermelons. Now, close your eyes and pretend Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly had said this exact same thing.
Speaking of Sean, he would daily play his “hate Hannity hotline” phone messages. In between the bleeps that censored foul language was the most vile vitriol you can imagine directed at Sean.
Oh, and let’s not forget to mention the book and movie depicting the assassination of George Bush.

If Lewis and Frank were truly verbally assaulted and a congressman spit on, certainly all the cameras and recorders would have picked it up. Believe me, the LSM would go wild if such recordings existed.
Lewis isn’t a liar? You know this how? Keep in mind EGV that people can say anything, especially when they do not have to back it up with any kind of proof.
Princess Pelosi, carrying a “gavel” that looked like it was retrieved from a Flintstone movie, and her court jesters walked through that crowd hoping to provoke an incident.

Mary – I’m not disputing the fact that racism comes from both sides. I’m not disputing the fact that people on both sides are crazy.
I’m also not disputing what Lewis says happened and another aide said he saw. Quite frankly, I don’t remember any video really at all of the protests that day – let alone where the house members were coming through – so to just say “well, it didn’t happen unless somebody videoed it” – I think that is a little lame.

I saw plenty of video and heard only “kill the bill”. Yet no racial or gay slurs were heard, I find that odd. I also find it odd that Pelosi and co. would walk through a crowd they thought may be hostile when they could have just as easily taken underground tunnels.
Again, making accusations is easy when you don’t have to back them up. If I see a video of people spitting or hear recordings of slurs, I will stand corrected. Until then I will find it peculiar that no recording devices picked up these alleged incidents.
Fine Mary – I’m sure that no tea party person has ever said, thought, or written anything racist in their entire life. In fact, my guess is that most of them are completely color blind, and leave their rallies holding hands and driving around neighborhoods passing out flowers.
Wow – I’m glad that I don’t have the same standards as you and take some written word for granted – I don’t think anybody caught the resurrection on video and posted it on youtube!

I’m saying its very easy to accuse when you don’t have to back it up. When one person accuses another, don’t you expect some proof or do you just assume someone is guilty? There were all kinds of recording equipment there. I find it very strange none of this was picked up. Show me a recording that proves it happened and I will stand corrected.
Do I question that congresspeople and senators are getting threats? No, because I hear recordings of the threats. I see vandalism to their offices. I hear and see proof.
Multiple people confirmed that slurs were uttered. I suppose that most of them were Democrats though (those who said they heard things), so that wouldn’t count for you.
I think all the tea party people went straight to boy scout meetings afterwards – I see the light now – they are all angels and I’m sure they said nothing wrong!

Multiple people hearing the “slurs” would indicate to me they were loud and clear. There was an abundance of recording equipment. I expect any day now the reward will be claimed.
I mean, Jesse Jackson’s reference to Jews as “hymies” and NYC as “hymietown” was recorded over 20 years ago by one reporter and his humble piece of equipment. Certainly an abundance of modern day recorders would end this Lewis debate once and for all.

One would also think they had body guards walking with them (at the time of the alleged slurs and spitting) and those guards would have promptly taken the offenders away. But then logic has never been the Dems’ strongpoint.
