Mother’s Day weekend launch! Touching mother-son chat
Wrote Holy Kaw today:
What better way to kick off the Mother’s Day weekend than with a truly touching chit-chat between a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome and his devoted mother? Sarah Littman sat down with her 12-year-old son Joshua to answer a series of heartfelt questions. StoryCorps recorded the conversation and set it to animation in a short video sure to make you want to give your mom, or any mom, a huge hug.
This is such a touching conversation. Sarah is such a wise mom, and Joshua is the sweetest, most observant, vulnerable thing. Holy Kaw wanted to hug mom after watching the video. I want to hug Joshua….

This is precious. I’m sure being on the autistic spectrum is very different, but as a gifted kid I do think that, like Joshua, I was one of those kids who “thinks a lot and is very perceptive.” My mom handled my adolescent emotional ups and downs with so much grace. I will definitely share this with her. Thanks Jill!
So very sweet!! I want to hug them both. :)
If anyone wants to know what it’s like to be the parent of a child with autism, this video gives a good look inside.
Thanks for sharing this Jill.
THis made me CRY. What a precious boy!
I love that the mother tell her son how much she learned from him.
