Quote of the Day 9-16-10
You couldn’t possibly demonize a concept that most people feel uncomfortable talking about already. What you should do is continue pointing out the reality of abortion. Abortion can only exist if supporters don’t have to face the reality of abortion.
… How many supporters of abortion would be willing to describe to you – during a debate – the detailed procedure of a D & X [partial-birth] abortion?…. If any of them even know the details of the procedure, I’d bet money that they’d decline to explain it to you.
Common sense says, I’m not going to explain the procedure because I’d sound like a monster for supporting it. Can we just describe it as a ‘medical procedure?’
Opposers should concede that the act is a “medical procedure” by responding with a poster of an aborted child with the Hippocratic oath posted beneath it.
“…never do harm to anyone.”
Let common sense do the arguing.
… [S]imply point out that on such a divisive issue there are two groups of people:
Those who disagree with abortion because it’s inhuman and wrong, and those who disagree with abortion because it’s inhuman and wrong – but are quite willing to tolerate it.
~Bryan Dubois, Sandusky Register, September 16

Nah, most people who disagree with abortion hate women. Look at Carl Paladino, the guy who just won a Republican landslide in the primary for Governor. He’s a serial adulterer with a 10-year-old love child he barely acknowledges. He admitted to sending e-mails with hard-core “degradation” pornography of women having sex with horses and being raped. So, I think it’s safe to say Carl Paladino hates women. But, of course, he’s opposed to abortion in all circumstances.
SANCHEZ: How do you feel — what is your position on abortion?
PALADINO: No.
SANCHEZ: Should a woman have a right to have an abortion if she’s — if she’s been raped?
PALADINO: No.
SANCHEZ: She should not? She should have to have the baby?
PALADINO: And the baby can be adopted, yes.
SANCHEZ: What if it’s — what if it’s a case of incest?
PALADINO: The baby can be adopted, yes.

And of course he thinks adoption is the best choice. I’m sure he’s one of the anti-choicers who believe that unmarried women should be hog-tied to delivery tables in Christian maternity homes and have their babies stolen from them while they scream for help. (This actually did happen in the “pro-family” golden days of the 1950s.) He doesn’t love fetuses, he hates women and wants to see them suffer–which explains the rape porn he’s so fond of. I fully believe most anti-choicers support his views of women, which is why they voted for him in a landslide. Anti-choicers just usually pretend that they love women and want to protect them from the evil abortionists in order to gain public support.
“Anti-choicers just usually pretend that they love women and want to protect them from the evil abortionists in order to gain public support.”
I know that’s what I do, reality. I hate women. Can’t stand my wife or two daughters. Their femininity disgusts me. I’m trying to turn them into men with little success. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Anyway, how does my and everyone else in the pro-life’s movement hatred of women prove that abortion does not unjustly take the life of an innocent human being?
This meeting of the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club will now commence…
Nah, most people who disagree with abortion hate women.
Oh, yes, that MUST be it.
I’m a woman. Do I get to join the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club, too? :D
I’m a woman too. I must hate myself.
Sorry – I’m pro-Life and I’m a woman.
Maybe it’s the pro-abortion people who might hate women? After all, statistically 50% of all babies aborted are female. And for all the women hurt by abortion – that’s not positive.
Where are the champion of women in denouncing doctors who maim and kill women via abortion? (like the case this week). Not a peep from the pro-women side denouncing the “doctor” who killed his patient by abortion… The only people crying for justice were the woman’s family and the Pro-Lifers…
Reality – maybe you can learn what real Pro-Lifers think and feel by befriending some. Then you would know that by making such statements that “most people who disagree with abortion hate women” would not be the truth.
Pro-Lifers want everyone to thrive – the born and unborn. If you are human, you qualify for the club! And it’s not a ‘hate women” club. We welcome all – including those who disagree.
Life for all.
So are any pro-lifers going to denounce the serial adulterer and hardcore pornography fan? Apparently not. They’ll all run out and vote for him in the governor’s race. If this were a woman with a sordid sex life, she wouldn’t even be able to run in the primaries.
“So are any pro-lifers going to denounce the serial adulterer and hardcore pornography fan?”
Thank you for asking. Yes, I denounce those actions of his. I actually denounced him on a facebook friend’s status earlier, but I have not gotten around to denouncing him on this forum yet. I have no idea who he is, but what he is involved in is despicable. Consider your boy denounced.
I second that denouncement, Bobby!!!
Thirdly denounced for his pornography and adultery.
Now that we have THAT matter out of the way, perhaps we can now concentrate on the actual content of the quote of the day.
I read a news story that a person got bitten a dog. People who think dogs should live are supporting the biting of humans. We all want humans tied down to tables and bitten by dogs. If you don’t think your daughter can kill her dog, then you must hate women. Reality, how do you like that? Is my logic as sound as yours?
PS Those chimps are way cuter than Gloria.
yes – and that guy is a slime… no argument there. Sinful on all accounts. And because his good side is pro-life and the stated part of his other life is a MESS on all kinds of levels – this is the needed component for pro-lifer? Absolutely not, of course.
Power corrupts and the people in power can develop really bad ways – bizarre ways that are not normal, for sure. The average pro-lifer is a working-class Joe (or Joe-ette), who wants to help others. Some have had abortion histories and have come to regret their abortions. Many are moms and dads, and loving their children moved them to appreciate all children instead of hypothetically accept the pro-choice ideology. Others have had spiritual awakenings or just grew up and realized that all humans have the right to live. The reasons are numerous – but the heart is the same.
Life for all.
Nah, most people who disagree with abortion hate women
What kind of a statement is that? You claim pro-lifers are ignorant and whatever else, but that statement does NOTHING for your position. It’s an assumption based on things you want to believe about pro-lifers. Makes me wonder if you believe that to feel better about your stance. Here’s the reason I think that: If a person operates under the thought that pro-lifers hate women and that we’re lying when we say we want to protect them, it’s a lot easier for you to have your stance.
However, you’d be very, very, very wrong. I’m a woman, a pro-lifer, and I don’t hate women and I’m actually very glad to BE a woman.
Christopher West (a speaker and a pro-lifer) has a very incredible view of women. One of his talks is actually entitled “Women: God’s Masterpiece”. (http://www.ascensionpress.com/shop/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=102 ). I listened to it when I was pregnant and I never felt so blest to be a woman before. Listening to it made me feel incredibly special/blest/honored/privilged to BE a woman.
To conclude:
We don’t hate women.
Hi Mother in Texas,
I heard Christopher West speak awhile back.
I cried when he made a heartfelt apology to the women in the audience for what his gender has put us through (he also made it clear that women need to take responsibility for their own treatment of others as well.)
What an awesome prolife speaker (and author).
Praxedes,
Yeah, I love his work. I’ve attended around 5 of his talks, seen 2 of his videos, and heard one of his of his CDs. I’ve also attended the marriage prep training program given by one of the people who works with him that was written by him.
He’s an amazing individual and he’s a husband and a father. My parents had the pleasure of meeting him (I haven’t, unfortunately, maybe one day).
Him and Jason Evert are two of my heroes…along with Eric Genuis and Doug Barry of RADIX (http://www.radixguys.com ) and Jason’s wife, Crystalina Evert.
There’s just some awesome stuff out there on life and marriage if people bother to look! :-)
P.S. If you haven’t read Christopher West’s book “The Good News About Sex And Marriage” I recommend it :-)
My husband and I have both read this book. It is Good News indeed.
